The app is good but they should work hard on their customer service to know how to resolve issues between rider and driver without being biased and being one sided. I have used the app as a rider and as a driver. A rider failed to show up for his pickup and lied to poparide. They made hasty conclusion without proper investigation. That is a low for me.

Very nice and social friendly, even ask him to drop me at different place and also he was able to drop me at a train station instead of the address he told me the drop was so if your looking for a great, safe driver and have a convoy so its not too boring (THIS IS YOUR GUY) AS YOU SEE THIS REVIEW IS HUUUUGE.

Great, confident and safe driver! This app and the service they provide, is cheaper than any other form of public transportation.
I would highly recommend using poparide as our driver, Nancy ; exceeded above and beyond my expectations!

I used this service to get my mom to Edmonton to Calgary after she missed her bus Christmas Eve. The driver messaged me with the address of meeting spot and I replied 3 minutes after confirming that she will be there. My mom got a cab to the location and was there 10 minutes early just to have the driver cancel literally 2 minutes before she was suppose to leave. He didn’t even bother to respond when I asked him why and that she was already there. So she had to get another cab to get back home. Support was no help, as they said you can’t make an account for someone else except my mom doesn’t know how to do this so I had to do it for her. So not only was she out $40 from cab fare but she didn’t get to spend Christmas Eve with her grandkids. So beware, rides are not guaranteed and drivers are able to leave you stranded with no explanation or reason.

Poparide made it very easy to minimize travelling costs, even for someone renting vehicles like myself, and save the environment by carpooling.

What I also appreciate about Poparide is that it doesn't charge the drivers the non-sense service fees that other ride-sharing apps do.

My truck broke down and I needed a lift so I checked out Poparide. My 2 lifts from Squamish to Whistler were awesome! The drivers and other passengers were really friendly and interesting and I was at my destination before I knew it. I would definitely recommend Poparide.

Not a rant but a concern related to fellow passengers who will take a ride with this app. Even if you had an accident and arrive 6 hours late, You still need to pay for the ride. As per their company policy driver can crash the car and almost kill you, and you arrive 6 hours to your destination. You still need to pay. Take care of your life and choose a bus. Please see the pictures and Yes, we still pay for the trip as the driver managed to drop us at our location.

Great site. Easy to navigate. Practically saved my day when my bus from Ottawa to Toronto didn’t show up and I needed a ride.

Had a good first time experience, they connected me with a wonderful and understanding driver, will keep using them for sure.

Quick and effective website. Very small fee (3$) and also love the fact that I don't have to carry any cash with me, everything is payed with credit card online.

I have driven three trips on Poparide so far. My experience has been extremely positive! I've met some very interesting people and all of them have been friendly and polite. It makes my drive seem so fast!

The best ride I had was with Gustavo he picked me up and dropped me at my place! Nobody did that since I started getting poparide He owns a Tesla (my first Tesla ride) so quiet I fell asleep! Overall it was a pleasant ride

This app is amazing, simple to use & serves its purpose well! Also, I would like to inform the people who haven't yet used it, rides on pop-a-ride are cheaper than car pooling inter cities with those stranger students on whatsapp groups. I had to pay only 17$ through poparide to go from Toronto to Kitchener and I was asked 25$ for the same distance by others on a car pooling whatsapp group. I am happy with poparide and i have recommended it to around 6 people till now because trust me! Buses, trains, cabs are super time consuming or too expensive- poparide is like just the thing i needed.: D
word of caution: be careful of booking the ride- date and time, if you are booking after 12am, reconsider checking the date of ride and also the difference of AM/ PM.i booked ride for wrong date and time bcoz of my own carelessness but the driver i got was nice and he said he would pick me on the day i wanted nevertheless, for no extra charges.

I have just used this app for the first time and have found it easy to use and a great way to find company on an otherwise long and lonely trip. I was very pleased to be able to help some lovely folk get where they needed to go. I will certainly use this service again

Great application. Constantly meeting great people along the way and it’s good way to make a little extra and cover my expense to drive. Used it once as a passenger because my car was in the shop and I’m mostly a driver now.

I've been driving passengers from Abby to Richmond since January. I love the security and peace of mind knowing most people in the community are good people. I try to do my best in communicating and asking the right questions to travelers so we can offer a great traveling experience. I look forward to continue driving and maybe riding in the future. Terrible customer service. Driver initially told me I'd get a full refund as his plans changed - so I had made other arrangements, but even with the message evidence of that they stole 50$.

Discovered Poparide because I needed to find a ride to collect an RV from Vancouver. I stopped offering rides altogether after being disillusioned by the ride share experiences I've had on Craigslist.

Seeing how Poparide requires a level of verification and the fact there is a 2-way review system really attracted me. I signed up and booked a ride in a new vehicle with someone who already gave 70 rides and had 5 star reviews. The 5 hour ride felt like a fun 15 min ride. So when I returned with the RV I posted as ride offered. I found 3 ride share that helped offset the cost plus because of the nature of Poparide, all were on time, very nice and very respectful.

Definitely recommend to everyone.

Poparide is a great way to meet new people from all over Canada, and the world. I’ve used it a couple of times and have always had a pleasant experience. It’s a great way to help the environment by letting people join you on trips you’re already going on. At the same time you are being compensated for your gas money. Win-win for the driver and passenger.

I love driving with Poparide. They're a great company with a great service. The app is so easy to use. I'm a driver usually. I can post any trip in 2 minutes, and to confirm bookings is so quick. It's a easy to use and very useful app! Love the passengers I get to meet. It enhances community and brings people together.

Poparide is an easy to use app, that offers rides, that are usually more affordable than other transportation and you meet interesting people. A lot of the time I depend on poparide-ridealongs, because there are so few bus-connections in West-Canada at the moment.

Don't bother. Money is taken before services are even completed and when there was an issue with the driver regarding time of pickup and a missed trip, the company showed disappointing customer service despite the fact that it is the traveller who is paying for the trip and did not offer a refund.

For full disclosure, I had a trip booked from Nelson to Fernie on the 6th March. The driver told me "4am" at one location in the original message. There was no timezone included and who would expect there to be one at the point of departure. The day before the trip, I proactively asked the driver to confirm the time and location. The time was "4.30 MST" at a different location. I'm not sure why one would expect an international traveller (written in my profile) to do a timezone conversion which meant that the actual time of departure at Nelson was 3.30 not 4.30 local time.

When I wrote to Poparide, they said the driver had been clear. I don't think so. The original message did not include a timezone and it was only following my follow up message that the driver provided different details. I understand that I am somewhat responsible but it would have been just as easy for the driver to use the local time. Poparide purely defended the driver despite this.

I had much better success on ride share Facebook pages.

A good friend introduced me to "Poparide" and I have just finished my first trip as a driver.
My trip was last minute. Late afternoon travel plans for the next morning and I posted on the site. Managed to get 3 passengers from Vancouver to Kelowna immediately. Will definitely use this app on a regular basis for my drives back and forth. Sure helps offset the cost of travel for both driver's and passengers. You get some great conversations going while contributing to a new way of getting around on a grass roots level.

It is a great app, well made! The only thing is that I rarely found riders. The community is not big enough compared to the other ride share alternatives.

As a frequent commuter using poparide has allowed me to offset the cost of my daily commute a bit. I've also met some awesome people along the way.
