Went in today order, Dec24,2023 at 5: 28pm ordered 24pc nuggets, i asked for buttermilk ranch, it cost $20.46, order number 222.cashier did her job and tried to upsell me.i gave a different name, as i always do, then just asked for my number to be called out.i got my order was asked if i wanted ketchup or hot sauce, i took the hot sauce and got napkins as well.i asked the cashier now handing me my order for my ranch and got 1.i asked if it only came with 1 or if i got more, she said it comes with 1 but i can get another if i like.i replied with i usually order the 36 pc and i get 5 how is the 24pc only 1.second worker said to me the same thing as the cashier, that it only comes with 1, but i can get another if i like.i asked them to wait, and i logged onto the popeyes free wifi, and went to the popeyes canada website, went to find location, picked the location i was at, went to the menu and scrolled down to nuggets, went to the 24pc nuggests ad it said it came with 4.i went back to the counter and was asked if i needed help.i explained what my order was ad what my consern was, i showed the worker the popeyes website menu and what i ordered and what was included, and was asked what i wanted, i said i wanted the other 3 sauces that were included in my order, and asked if the cashier, who was busy with another guest, could be told the 24pc nuggets comes with more than 1 sauce.the cooks are good, the staff that deals with ordering the food and packing it, needs more training.because i kept my receipt for the redemption code for my free 1pc and biscuit with purchase of medium drink.the above will be copy and pasted to the popeyes survey website about my experience.

Overall it was nice, they had nice staff the place was clean and nice but unfortunately they forgot my biscuit and are gravy

Basically, the best fast food chicken around of the 4 contenders. A little pricey, compared to the bottom national feeders.

I like their food but they kept forgetting things in my order (side of popcorn shrimp and coleslaw), and when I called, they said they asked their packer and she tried saying she put my coleslaw in both bags (I got 2 seperate orders), but she didn't, and they're too expensive to be like "oh it's just one large side that's missing" so I had to drive back. They were good enough to give me my coleslaw but geez, ya know? Just make sure you check your order before leaving is all I'm saying.

I have eaten at a few different locations across Canada and this was by far the worst.
Very disappointed. Chicken was not well seasoned extremely dry. The size of the pcs were extremely small and some had almost nothing but bone. The fries were over cooked and once again not well seasoned. The bisects seemed to be old even though this location is extremely busy. I definitely would not recommend it or return. LA Chicken in Richmond and even Churches chicken are superior restaurants in comparison.

Open only till 11pm and not midnight only drive thru open but if you don’t reach the window by midnight despite a 40 minute wait you won’t be served! Why even open a Drive Thru! Poor customer service!

Nice fast food joint. Better quality than KFC. But they messed up my friends order. He ordered a combo with Corn on the cob but instead, they gave him fries. So, if you're gonna drive-thru, just make sure you get the right order. No complaints regarding quality/quantity of food.

Just went through the drivethru with my mom, we ordered two meals and a 6 pack of those biscuits. When we got to the payment window my mom asked if she could add coleslaw onto the order and was told she couldn’t. We also asked for butter and the girl was rude about it. When we got our bags, we looked for the better and couldn’t find it and the girl at the window continued to argue back about it being in the bag. We got home and only had one butter for 8 biscuits. Cheap much lol? And rude customer service, she was making a face at the other girl working while we were talking to her. Won’t be back!

This was my second visit. First visit was AWESOME. This visit was poor at best. No Tuesday special as advertised on their website. Chicken was luke warm and dried out.fries were cold. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Did not present the franchise as I have come to expect from Popeye's.: (

It's as good as you think, this is what KFC used to be like before it went downhill in Surrey.

Cheap and delicious! Very busy as they just opened. Maybe consider that before you head there.

Great service, friendly and quick. The chicken is always fresh and perfectly crispy. Tried their biscuits and they were PERFECT! Highly recommend trying this place!

I highly recommend this chicken! My first time there so I tried drumsticks with a biscuit and gravy. The coating on the chicken is beyond crispy and yummy, the chicken itself is very plump, tender and juicy. The biscuit is just the best, crispy outside and soft and fluffy inside. And dip that in the gravy! It is unlike any gravy I have ever had, so flavorful! The staff were very helpful and they seemed happy to be there serving you. Rare now-a-days. I noticed that the customers sitting down eating looked like they were really enjoying what they had ordered. Now I know why! Reasonable prices too! This tops all the other fried chicken out there, folks.

Great tasting food, friendly service. Their drive thru is relatively full most of the time.it might take up to 10-15 mins to get your food but well worth the wait. The food is fresh and hot, fairly priced options.

Best chicken strips I've ever tasted. The side of southern mustard is to die for. Found onion rings undercooked and bland. Best biscuit you will ever eat. Overall excellant

I just moved to Surrey, after marrying last year- I got here April 20th, from Buffalo, New York. We have 11 Popeyes locations back home. I was BLOWN to find that, no sooner than 6 days after moving here, the plaza down the street opened up! Amazing chicken and biscuits.

It was good too many wings in my 8 pieces chicken only. Maybe I should have said 2 wings only. I got 4 wings dude. Aaargh. But tasted good. I want what I want.

Ordered the Cajun chicken platter with onion rings and Cole slaw. When I finally got it it was very giod, Unfortunalty it took about 15 minutes. I've never seen so much staff in a fast food place standing around. Not really sure why it took so long but it's something they need to work on.

Hopefully 20 min in-store waits will ebb as the novelty wears off. Best fast food chicken gravy out there. Chicken is tasty and less greasy than that of the category leader's and their slaw is better too. Good side dish selection. Fries and beans with rice also good. Good customer service from staff presently run off their feet.

I ordered a Cajun Fish combo and that is quite an overstatement. The fish was super salty and wafer thin. And there was no seasoning that would qualify it as cajun in my books. The batter was thicker than the portion of fish inside each of the 3 pieces of fish I received as part of my combo. The 3 pieces of fish felt like an item from the kids menu and definitely an adult male sized portion. Their coleslaw however is decent and their biscuits are great. I have also tried their chicken (mild and spicy) but would say in terms of taste and quality of food Mary Browns has them beat by a wide margin. I would even go as far as to say the KFC fares better in terms of seasoning, portion and taste. The Cajun Chicken Sandiwch is about the only decent chicken item on their menu. I have eaten at Popeyes in Toronto many times before a few years ago and feel like the chain's quality has really taken a hit. I will avoid them in the future if possible.

Better than KFC chicken. About the same quality as Wendy’s chicken. Butterfly Shrimp were just okay. Their biscuits are pretty darn good. Overall, it was kind of disappointing.

The chicken and biscuits are great. A little salty after awhile but that's what sides are for. The crew at Newton are really friendly and accommodating. They clean the tables quickly after each guest.

Tried Popeyes for the first time today and I’m so disappointed, I won’t return (At least to this location). From the minute I got to the line up which was out the door (Drive-thru just as bad) to the time I got my food, was just about 45 minutes. The line up was out the door and by the time we got to the counter we were told there were no biscuits. I’m upset because that’s the whole purpose of coming as it’s the only thing my daughter wanted. When we finally got our food and got home and opened it (no seats available) one of the orders was wrong and the mac and cheese was disgusting. No flavour. Super unhappy with this experience and not worth the wait at all.

So we went through the drive thru and the person we spoke to didn't even tell us how their day was despite my brother clearly saying "wassup".
We also got mashed potatoes instead of gravy. Luckily the mashed potatoes are pretty good.

Not a fan of white meat chicken but everything else about the chicken is good. Also the mild and regular chicken is basically indistinguishable from each other, unless we got only regular. I'd give a 3.75, but oh well, you get a 4

Got a cajun chicken sandwich, mashed potatoes and some mac n cheese. Order was ready before I finished filling my pop which was fantastic considering how busy it was however i was told they would upsize my sides because they were out of buiscuits (half the reason I went in the first place). No upsize. Chicken was nice and spicy but half the size of the very nice bun it came on. Mac n cheese tasted like nothing. Mashed potatoes were awesome.those I would order again. I'll give it another shot in a week or two when theyve ironed out their opening issues and see if its improved.

Oh wow! I don't understand why peoples said this Popeye Louisiana Kitchen is better than Church's Chicken & KFC. Today I went to this store and bought 8 pieces mild chickens for dinner. I've waited 10 -15 mins at line up and took about 10 mins to get my chickens. After back home and I opened the box and saw 5 pieces wings attached to breast and 3 tiny drumsticks. The chickens skins are crunchy but the taste are totally tasteless and the meats are too dry. The price is more or less the same as Church's Chicken. After I tried it, to be honest I prefer Church's Chicken than Popeye's Kitchen's chickens. Sorry to say that, I won't recommend and be going back.

Let's start by saying this place opened only four days ago. However there are some issues that hopefully will be worked out as they get used to working the restaurant. Let's talk about the food, it seem to all be very bland. It wasn't terrible, but there was nothing special about it. I had chicken strips, fries, gravy, biscuit, and macaroni and cheese. I was surprised the chicken had no taste to it really at all. It was also a bit soggy in the fries just weren't very good. Yes it's way better than KFC for sure but about on par with Church's chicken. The worst part of the experience was the actual customer service, where it seems nobody really knows what's going on there. Customers were getting upset because they were getting the wrong orders etc. Part of the problem is I think the entire staff is East Indian and none of them really speak or understand English very good, in fact I feel this is a rather racist location as there were no other races of people working there. The other problem is it's close to a school and there seems to be a big influx of school kids coming into the restaurant and being loud and annoying and bothering all the other customers actually trying to eat there so they need to come up with some sort of system to fix this. I'll try it again in a month or so to see if anything gets fixed.

We had a good experience here. There was a very long line but it seemed to move quickly. Our popcorn shrimp and chicken were good. There were a lot of staff working and the restaurant was clean, especially considering how busy it was in there at the time. Free refills on drinks while in store also. We will likely be back if we are in the area again. They also have a drive through! A plus if you have kids like I do.

The 8PC Chicken only 1/2 and 1/2 totally a waste of many.
The Chicken look and taste like it was prepared this morning, cool, dry and over fried; all the 8 pieces so small that they have no value in it. Neither the taste of fried chicken was there. Definitely I will not recommend or come back again to this location.
Lost my time and money. Not worthy. I am seriously.

Due to the hype I went here today, long line up, I didn’t care much for the line up (felt good that the food must be good) man was I wrong! I got fried chicken, Cajun fries, wings, I am not very picky but man the chicken was so oily and fries were soggy, I still ate. I think I got spoilt by Chicken world, I ate from there before and I am going there after! The chicken tastes fresh there. These guys have great customer service though.

Got all the way home and saw they didn't place the chicken burger in my order. I phoned then and spoke to Yasmeen who said they did. I said let's check the cameras. Then they said they will replace it and give me a free combo. Couldn't care less about the free combo. Just admit you made a mistake and it accuse the customer of lying. Terrible service.

Live close by, waited few days till i tried it since it was so busy everytime we passed by. Line up was till outside the store even drive thru but it was pretty fast only waited for 10mins even it was long line up. Chicken was superb and love the strawberry cheesecake pie.will go back there everytime i crave for fried chicken yum yum

Doesn't say its Halal meat in the drive thru or on their menu. It's a new establishment and based on the fact that they're in Surrey and there are a lot of Indians located here who dont eat Halal they should advertise it. Looking forward to seeing signs or something.

I'm not one to really eat fried chicken much, I don't like KFC, I'd go for Church's if I were wanting it, and after trying this place I'll continue to do so. Shrimp was ok, biscuit was HEAVILY salted and gross, the chicken was easily the most greasy I've ever had.literally dripping. I ate one piece and felt like I was going to vomit. HARD pass on this place.

Typical Popeyes fare, quick service, no line up at all. Could use a few days/weeks to iron out the bugs. Biscuit was good but a bit dark. Chicken strips needed thicker, crunchier batter. Spicy strips were better than regular. Would like to see bigger chicken strips, they seemed a wee bit smaller than US version. Onion rings were good, slightly spicy. Restaurant was clean and well kept. Small location but easy to get to and park.

Biscuit, strawberry pie, and fries are great. Somehow the chicken itself is dry and tasted burnt. Not sure if it's quality control that was the issue or their chicken is meant to be burnt.

I would say it is not worth 30 minutes of waiting time for some burnt chicken.

I went on the day this location opened and my experience was great. I used the drive-thru so that’s what my rating is based off of. The line was quite long, I believe I waited in line for about 30 minutes before my order was taken. After my order was taken I waited about another 10 minutes. Ordering was efficient. The people I spoke with knew the menu and took my order accurately.

Our food was great. We ordered mild chicken strips, so no spice, and they were yummy. I really want to try them spicy or hot. The Cajun fries were yummy and their selection of sodas was great too.

The only set back was that we didn’t get the causes we asked for. They also ran out of mac ‘n cheese. But I was able to get a strawberry pie which is super tasty. Oh! And they gave me and my friend extra chicken. Instead of five strips we each had 6/7 strips.

10/10 would recommend and I would go again.
