Port Moody Public Library

Some of the staff members are extremely rude to a point where it feels like racism. I will be definitely escalating this to the respective authorities.

Such a cute library with a great selection and request program, incredibly friendly staff, lots of cool events for a variety of ages, but also quiet for studying. The entrance is amazing to see in Cherry-blossom season too! Within walking distance of the rec centre, Newport village, and the bus station- great location!

What others have stated is true, this is a noisier run library but its not ridiculous. If some 5 year old kid comes in and cannot control himself it's not really his fault yet. Kids need time to grow up. I don't mind the noise but I also don't expect it to be quiet in here.

If you need a really quiet adult only library in the area, go to Douglas College. In my experience school libraries are the quietist. I like ambient noise and distracting kids being too loud, it helps me focus being in an immersive environment.

My mom first took me here when I was 3 years old. She has passed now and I am 23 now, still love to focus here. Love you mom.

Managing the Covid 19 situation in a very professional manner. Appear to have increased their new book selection.
Now that Covid seems to be stabilised the Library has more or less returned to normal except there are still plexiglass screens between the staff and patrons. The staff are still friendly and helpful.

Great library. Not as new as the Coquitlam library building, but i kinda love that! They always have the books I want in stock, because not as many people seem to patronise this library. It's quiet, has great selection of books, TV, and movies, including plenty of new stuff. Lovely location, and a great quiet place to browse and retreat.

Great library. Beautifully designed. The staff are super friendly with the kids. Always helpful. Great collection of books. One of the more beautiful libraries in the lower mainland. There is the community center here too and a good coffee shop for all you refreshment needs.

I love that the new ins are displayed right when you walk in, makes it easy to quickly browse through. Picked up my first 'Blind Date with a Book' which i think is such a fun concept, i absolutely love the idea and ended up thoroughly enjoying a book i personally would never have thought to pick up otherwise!

Great local library bit lacking in some books but that's to be expected for a small branch. Nice and quiet and great for students and people who just want to get out of the house.

This is my favourite place to be in Port Moody. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Amazing librarians. My daughters love visiting the library.

One of the noisiest libraries I've been to. I would not recommend it if you were planning on studying, people often talk very loudly, and it seems to be the norm here. A lot of kids running around. Kids area placed right near what is supposed to be a quiet space. Due to covid there are only 2-3 study rooms and only 1 person allowed per room. (you can still hear everything from inside study rooms, they are not very quiet)

Well organized and clean library!
There is no place to seat for temporary bacause of Covid19. But, other than that great place to visit and borrow the things needed.

Great collection of young children books and fantastic librarians. Story time for babies are very fun and personable during non-covid times.

I once got caught snacking and someone warned me about it. My bad. I love this place though and it has been of great use for multiple things I've needed it for in the past. Friendly and helpful staff.

It's open and it's like a maze inside now. We love Port Moody library with their fantastic staff.
