Powell River MCC Thrift Shop

Anything that I was interested in had a “not for sale” tag on it. The rest was junk and overpriced. Won’t be back,

Friendly and accommodating staff.
Clean products and environment.
Best thrift store in town.

This place has gone downhill, has rude receiving staff. Tried donating new items and nice kitchen things, and the older short lady at receiving was rude and asked if I was donating JUNK. She then invaded my personal space and tried fishing through my bags while I was holding them. She looked quite disgusted at some dessert cups which were clean and perfect condition just not crystal to her expectations. My first and last time donating to MCC, I will go to auxiliary from now on and support people with manners who are happy to receive donations.

I take my Mom here as she loves clothes. The prices on furniture & quality pieces is too high for a store that survives on donations. Once a month they should have a brown paper bag day. Fill it with clothes for $5-10 bucks. This assures turn over of products & clears overage of clothing.

I rated this place as okay because unlike our other local and cheaper thrift stores, MCC has been known to price their items according to what they find out online about the product, etc. Anything "outrageous" gets placed in display for silent customer auctioning, as well. Their prices are still much lower than if the product was being sold on a store rack, and the volunteers are always friendly, so that's why I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

This shop is clean, adhering to Covid protocols, well planned, and full of excellent folks running it. Well done people! I'll be back.maybe even this afternoon. Thank you!

Wouldn't take my clothes because they weren't folded. All good clothing. Some were distressed styles so my clothes were "garbage" take it to the dump
