Prado Cafe

I had the tuna melt for take away. I did not like it and the sandwich was soggy. I have had take outs from various other places and it does not get soggy so soon (15-20 mins). Maybe there's a better way to grill or pack it.

Staff are so miserable, music is terrible and doesn't go with the style at all.

Also, going to the washroom is an absolute joke. You have to unlock 3 different doors and go through a gate that has to be opened by staff.

Great coffee and cookies selection. Lovely staff. Perfect spot in Hastings. It was a bit busy but luckily I’ve got nice spot next to the window! Besides I spent some time reading about the cinematheque upcoming films in the magazine (which I found in the cafe:)

Everything was great. My only issue: like a few places in Vancouver they put flat whites in small cups. You have to order as a no foam latte to get anything larger than a 8 oz

Service was fine. But when I received my order and realized for $7.50 what the breakfast sandwich was I felt immediately frustrated that I spent so much on a my breakfast. I understand everyone is expensive these days but this is just to much. Lost a customer.

I think the coffee and Prado is very underrated, and it can compete with the other amazing coffeeshops in gastown. The cortado is very good, full of flavor, and consistently made well. I think it’s a fun stop to sit in and look out the big windows, especially on a rainy day ️

Gabrielle and Kate at the counter give terrible service. If a woman comes rushing into an establishment asking to use a washroom due to having her period, then the half decent thing to do is to allow her to use it. However Gabrielle ans Kate refused to let my sister use the washroom because she wasn’t a paying customer even when my sister specifically told them what was going on. This led my sister to run around the block up and down looking for a washroom. I understand that there are rules and regulations in place, but come on, their response was absolutely disgusting. Do better.

It is definitely worth going in and trying. I've been past it hundreds of times but this was the first time going in. I will absolutely be going again.

I'm not sure what coffee they use but I had a great americano here and would definitely go back.

The coffee was good, but at the end, it had a little sour taste which I didn’t really like
