Food was horrible. All of it was wet and slimy like. Ended throwing it all out after taking a few bites.

Honey garlic chicken was all bread

Almond chicken was covered in sugar

Veggie chow mein was wet and soggy, couldn’t eat it…. Tried to fry it in the frying pan to remove some of the sauce but it didn’t work

Hot and sour soup wasn’t good at all

The BEST Mongolian Beef I've ever had! Service was great. Loved everything we ordered! This is a must try in Mission.

Were new to mission and thought we would try take out for dinner. When we ordered items on the menu the girl taking our order didnt even know what they were! We ordered for a total of 4 adults. The chicken was very slimy in texture. The rice we had was a pile of cold much. It was not fresh! We were so disappointing and would never order there again

My 7 y/o is pretty picky at times. I was craving Chinese and thought we would try a new restaraunt.not to question our tried & true ones.

This new one was great! My kid ate every little bite, and our family loved the batters on the deep fried items we ordered. (Prawns, chicken, etc). Light, not too oily, and crispy.

The sweet & sour pork is something new as I've never had pineapple in it. Soon good. Everything great!

A little on pricey side, but Chinese food usually is. And if we're doing Chinese we want all the faves.

Exceptional service. Warm plates provided and the food tasted exceptional! The won ton soup had so much flavor it may be the best I have had.

The Sichuan food in this place is really delicious! If you want to eat the most authentic Sichuan food, you must not miss here! It's all secret menus

Missing items. Portions were small for price. Worst chinese food ever. Called them to complain of wrong food and they didn't care but they did say they knew the order was wrong but the driver had already left.

Waited 45 minutes to pick up an order that should’ve been a half hour.got it and the containers were less than half full food is disgusting and they overcharge me compared to the price on the website said so I. Called the manager and they just disregarded my complaint and took my phone number said they would call me back.i have yet to have been called back.

Used to be great years ago, then it started getting very unpredictable. Over the years we kept trying it periodically but we gave up after yesterday's order. We found another place in Mission that's more expensive but consistently good.

Quite a few improvements made here especially the food is way better n the atmosphere is lovely too great hostess also really like her

I must say that I'd lost hope when I arrived in mission back in 2017, but I happened to drop into the Prawn Garden Restaurant, the food is like being back in China, Hong Kong, they really do cook authentic Szechuan.and many specialty dishes not found unless your in the city, just top notch.

Only the forgot my sweet and sour sauce on the side.all is forgiven.the food is so good, and the pork is just fine without the sauce. I prefer it on the side so I have the option of dipping. And although i didnt get that option last time, I still thoroughly enjoyed my meal. 10/10 defenitly will order again.

Delicious. Very accommodating of gluten-free diners with a wide array of options. Reasonable prices, good portions. Definitely coming back!

The worst food I have ever had, I can’t believe they passed this off as edible. A huge waste of $80 and we ended up going some place else. The food was trash. STAY AWAY, SAVE YOUR MONEY. This -lace should be shut down and the cooks sent back to school. Rotten horrible food.

Years ago this was one of the best Chinese food restaurants that my family loved to enjoy on special occasions. Since I’m in mission for the weekend I decided to give it a go again despite the mixed reviews and it was SO disappointing. The wonton soup broth had NO flavour and the wontons tasted so off it was inedible. I had to throw it out. The honey garlic chicken was all batter and a strange crumbly texture. The beef & brocoli shows up with carrots and tons of onions in it… thought the whole point of beef & broccoli is you only get those 2 items but ok. The chow mein was almost good but also highly disappointing. Overall I regret ordering it, the order also arrived in under 20 minutes which was a bit concerning. Will not order it again and won’t recommend it to anyone

Yuxiang eggplant is superb spicy beef jerky and cumin lamb are very flavourful as well.
Price is reasonable and staffs are friendly. Will come again ^^

Went with my family here yesterday. The owner was very kind and was really quick with our orders. The food was served quickly and was delicious. Would definitely recommend to those who are thinking of trying Chinese food but don’t know where to start. Staff was kind and always ready to provide assistance. Definitely coming back for more next time!

A modest simple place on the old Main Street of Mission, it fits into the old time character of the street. It doesn’t stand out. The decor is honest authentic and clean, takes you back a few years

Service is friendly, sometimes a little spotty. Sometimes we thought the food took a little long to arrive, but as always

After eating here 4 or 5 times we have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh, freshly cooked from scratch and just delicious. We have agreed that if it takes a little longer, it’s because they are cooking it from scratch, and it’s worth the wait. They have a good chef. The vegetables always crisp fresh delicious. The prawn dishes are just great, I liked the deep fried squid a lot. Had the beef with green beans in black bean sauce this afternoon and we loved it.

The portions are generous and the prices are not out of line. The menu choices are standard, no avant- garde fusion cuisine here, just decent honest fresh well prepared dishes.

A lot of people come in around dinner time and order takeout, I find that as a result the wait staff and kitchen can get overwhelmed, to the detriment of the seated customers.

We gladly put up with the minor quirks because the food is so good.

Love this place. The food is awesome. There is a reason they have been in business so long. We drive from Maple Ridge to eat here and for take out.

We have been going here for years the food has always been great but the last couple times it has not been good. Today the chicken chow mein smelled like rotten fish it was gross, the noodles were dry and thin also there was next to no chicken, then there was the beef and vegetables swimming in some kind of broth not tasty at all. Finally the sweet and sour pork looked discussing and taste as good as it looked. This was the only good Chinese food in Mission now we will have to drive to Abbotsford.

Had dinner there tonight. Came in and and was told to sit anywhere, then a 15 minute wait for a menu. When the food came, my wife's food came first - lukewarm, then after another 15-20 minutes I had to ask for my food. It also was lukewarm.no chicken in the chicken chow mein. Pork fried rice was hot and tasty.sweet and sour boneless pork was bland -neither sweet nor sour. Almond chicken was cold.prawns were cold.not going back

My wife and I have Loved.this restaurant for years and just a week ago I was telling my parents who live in Langley it was the best Chinese food restaurant and talked about taking them soon. But we went yesterday and I was super hungry an it was very bad I hope they can get there standards back to where they were before

I’ve been to many small town Chinese restaurants over the years. I come to expect certain things … things such as florescent lighting, cluttered with ‘stuff’ and slightly dirty, over cooked food drowned in some kind of sweet brown sauce, sweet and sour pork that is far more sweet than sour and more of fried batter than pork.

Surprisingly, Prawn Garden in Mission, BC was an exception to those rules. Not one florescent tube in site, quiet, clean and classy. Friendly staff and they knew their regulars. Phone orders and pick up came in non-stop for the hour or so that we were there.

We ordered beef and broccoli (because you can usually tell how the rest of the food is going to be cooked from this dish). Surprisingly, the beef was tender and NOT rubbery and overcooked, same with the broccoli that still had a slight fresh crunch to it. Almond chicken was cooked with perfect timing. This dish came out golden, not dark brown from over frying. The chicken inside was tender.

I normally order a lot of rice because I need that white rice to balance the usual overly salty dishes but quickly realized that I didn’t need it because the seasoning in those dishes was perfectly balanced.

In the end, my experience at the Prawn Garden completely satisfying, no food was left behind.

I don’t live in Mission but will be revisiting this place when I pass through again. If I did live in Mission, this would be my go-to Chinese restaurant.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. They turn off the phone so you cant call to place an order. Heard 1 staff member say "dont worry I turned off the phone so we wont get anymore calls. " only they had accidentally picked up my call and I heard the while conversation.what a despicable way to run a business.guess you dont need customers so everyone should stop going.

And what is the owner doing about the female staff members that are turning the phone off? He may have replied to my initial review but didnt take responsibility at all.

Stop by this little place last week. It's very clean and modern. Given I'm very spoiled in Vancouver, I certainly didn't expect this place to be impressive, and just thought it would be a typical small town Chinese restaurant. To my surprise though the food is actually quite good. Ordered a very safe broccoli and beef stir fry, and got a huge plate with lots of beef! Another dish we ordered was recommended to us, fried chicken. And I thought okay, that's a weird thing to recommend for a Chinese place, but went for it anyways. So it's marinated just right, so it's not too blend, and on the outer layer not only do you get the usual bread batter, but you get a bit of almond crumb, so adds a bit of a sweet taste. It didn't come with any dipping sauce, but honestly, it didn't need it, was just the right saltiness for me with that hint of sweetness from the almond. Awesome place!

Wife and been ordering from this resterant for years very dissapointed smaller portions now food very poor no more decent places to eat in mission will not recomend or order again
