Great experience. Needed a new lens (old one was scratched) and an updated Rx. My ophthalmologist doesn't really do Rx tests anymore and suggested I visit an optometrist. Wanted to go somewhere close to home so I read up on all the local optical stores. Prestige had rave reviews and a same day service on most Rx's. Went in on Dec28 and booked an appointment for the following day. The price for the test was very reasonable and the gentleman performing it extremely courteous and professional. After figuring out my new Rx they sat down with me and explained my options for what they had in stock vs what they could order in. I decided on an in-stock lens. I left, ran some local errands, and returned about an hour and a half later to pick up my glasses. Very happy with the service I received and highly recommend the establishment. I'll add that I'm cheap, by nature, and was worried about higher prices because Kitsilano is a little more upscale and the stores more on the boutique end of things. But I was very happy with the price I paid.

Three words describe Prestige Optical: 'GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. ' I purchased my last pair of glasses here, and the salesperson was incredibly helpful without being pushy or trying to convince me to buy just for the sake of making a sale. After selecting a model, they conducted an eye test and had my new glasses with lenses ready within two hours. Once again, their customer service was excellent!

Eye exams are a good value here but eyewear and lenses are significantly higher than comparable shops. I was able to purchase The exact same pair of designer frames for $220 less at another shop and could of had an even larger discount if I purchased online. For Rimless lenses I was quoted approximately $300 -$350 and ended up securing a pair for $200 from another local shop with all the coatings offered such as anti glare, blue light, extra hardened, scratch resistance and thinner lenses.

Very good service and super fast. My glasses were done in an hour and Jaspreet is very knowledgeable and professional and very helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

I had nothing but a great experience with Prestige Optical. I'm a visitor here from the States, and I made an appointment for a new prescription and eyeglasses in an emergency where I could no longer use my contact lenses, and my backup glasses were barely useable. After excellent Email correspondence with Paul, I went in for a sight test performed by him, and it was very professional and thorough, accounting for my profession and sight needs for it. He was also very helpful in the selection of my frames and giving me an honest opinion on how it suited my face. I have pretty severe Astigmatism, so it was understandable that I could not get my glasses the same day as my lenses had to be special ordered, but nonetheless, I received my glasses within 3 business days, and I am more than pleased with the new glasses I got. It's still astounding how fast I was able to get a sight test and new prescription, new glasses with high quality frames, and all at a very reasonable cost considering the extremely professional and speedy service. I would highly recommend Prestige Optical not only for fast, high quality, and reasonably priced prescription glasses, but also for all general eyecare needs, and if I find myself in the Vancouver area again and need glasses or contacts, Prestige will be the first place I consider.

I needed a new pair of glasses two days before some international travel- and I was at my in-laws with my baby, unable to drive! Prestige made the glasses and drove them out to me within a day, even texting me pics of frames so I didn’t have to go anywhere. And the glasses are fantastic! I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Easily the best experience I've had at an opticians in Vancouver. Every person working here is laid-back while at the same time being helpful and professional. My prescription feels more accurate than any I've had before with a very quick turnaround on glasses. Highly recommend this place over one of the bigger chain stores.

I had booked an appointment a week in advance. The optometrist was not ready on the scheduled time, when I asked the staff about what was going on they told me it would be another 10 mins. I told them o will wait outside as the place was packed and very poorly ventilated. 15 minutes after, no one provided any update and when I went back in they just told me I had to wait with no further explanations. Save yourself time and a stressful experience by checking some other optometrist.

Huge variety, high quality, exceptional service, competitive prices even comparable to Costco. I did an extensive research before buying from Paul's. I cannot describe in words the experience sice you open the door. I bought my glasses two years ago and they still in great shape. I got the best quality of lenses in the market and I can't be happier. I come regularly to get some adjustments and Paul's always remember me. He offers a service just like I would do if it was my business. Therefore, I always recommend to all my friends if they need glasses. If you have extended insurance, please do not hesitate to come to this store. It's definitely the best option in the market, even better than Costco in my opinion.

My daughter had just got her glasses at another place and within two days the dog ate them! It was going to take another 3-5 weeks of waiting for a replacement pair from where we originally got them. After calling around I decided on prestige optical.
Paul was great, very professional, knowledgeable and clearly knows his stuff. They had a great selection of frames to choose from and we had a replacement pair within 2 hrs! My daughter had amblyopia, so it was extremely important and a huge relief for her to have a replacement pair same day. Thank you!

Best optician in Vancouver in my opinion! The selection of glasses is huge. I can be quite picky and I have a "bad" habit of always optimising to get the best, so I must have tried over 25 different glasses over 3 visits. The optician, Paul, is gifted with an in-depth knowledge of everything vision. We found the most comfortable, aesthetically fitting and enjoyable frame I have owned in 20 years. It turned out to be the frameless type. Despite my -3.75 prescription, Paul leveraged different lense technologies to make the thinnest and lightest lenses I have ever worn. I am impressed and I highly recommend.

This shop has some really funky and fashionable frames!

I got some high end prescription sports glasses (Oakley) with special add-ons like transition, polarization, anti fog and glare, etc.to make my eyes as comfortable as possible. I have chronic pain and my eyes get sore and sensitive from light, and tired from squinting and just being used in general, so these help! A positive experience with the optometrist during my eye exam, and sales staff also, they helped me by repairing the arm on an unrelated pair of glasses which I thought was amazing customer service. I recommend and I’ll be back.

Super kind and helpful staff made me feel at home, non rushed atmosphere. Stayed open late for me when i couldnt decide.detail oriented and careful eye exam, made sure it was right. Even hand delivered to me when i was too sick to pick up. They cost a bit more than the budget eye places but trust me totally worth it! Calling now for contacts:)

Just want to thank you Paul for fitting my husband with his new glasses. I know with his prescription it is a bit harder. They look great on him and even more wonderful is, he can see great out of them. Thank you for your advice on the lenses. All these years we have been told we had to get the thinnest lenses because of his prescription.thank you for your honestly and integrity. We WILL be back!

If you're looking for a positive experience, please go here! I walked in one day and Paul was super helpful and so friendly from the moment I got there. He let me try on a bunch of glasses, gave me space when I needed it, and was super patient with my shennigans!

There's a nice selection of frames and a nice broad range in pricing so there's something for everyone. The turn around time was also awesome! Barely 2 business days and I had my new glasses before the end of the second day.

Went there to chance the lenses of my frames. They understood my needs and provided a very good, fast and customized service!
