Primacy- MD Medical Centre

New to Kelowna, last week, I had to see a doctor as soon as possible, I was nervous and the lady at the reception was so sweet and I got to see a doctor the same day.
The doctor was very professional and respectful.
I had to call back today to follow up and again, the receptionist was amazing and so sweet.
I saw all the bad reviews but really, I had the best service I could have asked for

Rude receptionist make me wait 20 minutes standing with a stolen ankle then tell me to go to kelowna. They don't want to help me but their was no one else in there

I would give less stars if i could. Our 9 yr old with streph throat was turned away because she already had a family doctor. (who is out of town for 3weeks) And the real frustration was a totally empty waiting room. So if you go say you do t have a family doctor!

Both myself and my wife have been patients of both doctors for years. Always the best care and consideration. Della in the front consistently helpful and polite. Five stars is not enough for them - they are the best.

I tried calling for an appointment for almost an hour before the receptionist even picked up the phone. I came in for the appointment to Primacy and received a prescription and needed lab work done. The Dr was great. I dropped off the prescription at the pharmacy and went to the Lab. Once at the Lab, there was much confusion as the Dr office used my former married name. My care card doesn’t have that name. I legally changed it 12 years ago. Because of that same error, the pharmacy wouldn’t fill my prescription. I waited 4 days for my prescription. I phoned the receptionist at Primacy medical clinic explaining the situation and she said she did nothing wrong and hung up on me. I thought it must’ve been a mistake. So I called back and she scolded me, belittled me and told me once again it wasn’t her fault and she hung up on me a second time. Later that afternoon I walked into the clinic and asked to speak with the manager. She said “I am the manager” so I asked to speak with a Dr. She stood in front of me with her arms out and said “I’m calling the police! ” I said what for? Lol!
I asked to see a Dr at a medical clinic and you’re calling the police? I asked the Dr if I could speak to her. In the room, I explained what happened and how I was treated by their receptionist. Now I understand that everyone seems to be short staffed and stressed out, but abusive treatment of clients is never acceptable.
I was told by MSP that the system at the medical clinic has not been updated, and that’s why the name error happened. MSP suggested I go back to the clinic and tell them to update their computer system! Ya right- I’m never stepping foot in that clinic again.
I looked at some other reviews, and not surprisingly there is more than one negative comment about that receptionist. She should not be working with the general public.

I'm new to West Kelowna and when I called this clinic the receptionist was great to talk to and very professional. I haven't gone into the clinic yet but from first impressions, it seems like a great clinic.

Lovely MOA running the desk, was very helpful and kind. Doctor is exceptional! So personable and thorough. Probably one of the best experiences I have had with a walk in clinic! Thank you! Will be back.

My family has been going to Dr. Wiid for years. She's a fantastic and thorough doctor.
