PRINCE OF WHALES Whale & Marine Wildlife Adventures

Josh and Brett were our kayaking guides extraordinaire on our day trip and picnic lunch. They were both so friendly, caring, skilful and knowledgeable. That you should be so lucky to get them!

My partner and I went out for a half day whale watching trip and it was absolutely amazing! I've never seen so many whales and I've been on multiple whale watching excursions with various companies. This was by far the best one I ever experienced. We saw Biggs orcas, dall porpoises, so many humpback I lost count, sea lions, seals, eagles and tons of sea birds. It was truly an unforgettable trip. The crew was amazing. Very friendly. Super knowledgeable about the sea life and the area we were in.
We are already talking about booking another trip to go again! Thanks prince of whales!

It was an absolutely perfect trip. Great weather, lots of whales, sea lions and otters. Luckily the full body suit provided keeps you warm, otherwise you might freeze.

Having done literally dozens of whale watching trips all over the BC coast I consider myself a little more than a casual attendee. Two days in a row one day on the large craft and the second day on a rigid hull with Capt. Scotty. Scotty’s gentle way of going through the housekeeping while keeping things light at the same time stressing the importance of safety was super refreshing. He did an amazing job of piloting us around the local areas as we were fortunate enough to be virtually surrounded by Humpbacks for over an hour. With the engines off he delicately balanced his explanations on science, history and most importantly conservation. Wonderful delivery of everything he spoke of. Having a father in the department of Fisheries and Oceans my entires life Scotty’s parroting of many lesson my father stressed over the years was not only purposeful but also warming. One of the greatest captains I have ever experienced. Made us all feel like close friends from ten minutes after the trip started. Kept the entire adventure interesting and educational. The only bad part about the trip was returning to the dock. Strongly recommend. Wonderful experience.

We went out with Prince of Whales over the weekend in Telegraph Cove, and had an AMAZING trip! We saw so much wildlife, and our guides Connor and James were so friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, the currents, the wildlife.everything! I can't say enough good about them, and would definitely go on another tour next time I'm in the area!

It was a wonderful experience, with breathtakingly beautiful views, and we got to see at least two different pods of orcas, minky whales, and a hump back in the distance which did a whole body breach!

Our 3-hour tour with Scotty ended up being closer to 4 hours, sure to the overwhelming number of sightings. We caught up with five orcas within 10 minutes of leaving the dock, then after spending a good while watching them, we went to another spot, maybe 10 mins away, where we found about a dozen humpbacks. Then we played in a group of white-sided dolphins. On our way back, we came across a ton of Dal's porpoises, and then we checked out a haul out of Stellar sea lions. Along the way we found about half a dozen sea otters as well.
Scotty was incredibly knowledgeable, and was able to identify the orcas and most of the humpbacks, and shared their stories with us. Very informative, and all told work a storytellers flair. It was an experience of a lifetime!

Oct 1 2022—Alex took us out and delivered Killer Whales Humpbacks and Porpoises gliding and diving around our boat.
The day was exquisite and so memorable. Thanks to him and Prince of Whales Tours—we had a fabulous day on the boat!

We loved this trip! We were with Scotty on the zodiac. Scotty was awesome and as excited as we were to see the whales, dolphins, and porpoises. He was passionate and knowledge about all the marine life. He was great. The two women in the office were very friendly and helpful too. Would recommend.

Where to start?

We saw everything. Porpoises, dolphins, humpbacks, orcas, otters, and sea lions. Absolutely incredible seeing so much wildlife in about 4 hours! Scotty was awesome, he was knowledgeable, personable and even went back to get my hat when it flew off in the wind. 5/5, absolutely recommend. Once in a lifetime experience.

Honestly not worth it! We saw better viewings of whales from the beach at our campsite. I know you obviously never know what you are going to get but for the price you pay you risk only seeing whales from a far distance.

Ich muss sagen, Scotty macht nicht nur seinen Job, sondern er liebt ihn und das ist bei so einer Tour unglaublich viel wert, da es die ganze Erfahrung so viel schöner macht.

We were incredibly unfortunate on our day out to get both thick fog and no proper whale sightings but our captain Scotty did his absolute best to give us a good experience and managed to find a bunch of other wildlife for us. The best part, however, was that even though we technically saw a humpback right at the end on our way back to port they said it didn't count as a proper sighting so we were all offered the chance to go on any other tour free of charge whenever is convenient for us. Truly excellent customer service!

We had an amazing time on our whale watching tour. The staff were lovely and knowledgeable. They gave us face coverings to wear and keep. There were only 8 guests on the zodiac boat so were well spread out. We saw 10 humpback whales. It was incredible!

Such a wonderful experience all round!
The crew took all steps needed for COVID procedures, and even provided free whale themed facemasks for everyone on board.
We managed to see a wide variety of sea life, including humpbacks, orcas, seals and dolphins. The staff are super informative (we had Scotty and Andy on board with us)

Highly recommended. We went with Scottie who is quite knowledgeable about the marine life in the Telegraph Cove region. You can sense his loe for wildlife through his introductions.

We spent 3.5 hours at the sea. It's a good value because the experience is unique.

We saw so many wildlifes today. A pod of four killer whales. We also saw many humpback whales and sea lions etc. They are quite playful! The weather was perfect today at 20+ degrees with lots of sunshine.

Had 3 and a half hours in a Zodiac with Scottie towards the end of Sept. Saw plenty of Dall's Porpoises and eventually a pod of 6 Orca in the Johnstone Strait. A109 "Eliot" came to investigate us, and got within a few metres of the boat which was quite rare. Saw several hundred dolphins coordinate a salmon hunt also which was fantastic. Highly recommend it, good value and would go again tomorrow. Scottie in particular was fantastic and has really good marine biology knowledge. Great fun day out and to see the Orca was amazing.

We had a great time with this company! Staff were knowledgeable and helpful, saw multiple pods of orcas as well as humpbacks, sea lions, and dolphins! Highly recommend.

We had good weather so that's a plus. The staff was nice. Roman and Sharon were just nice people with knowledge of marine life. Expensive but worth it. We saw several killer whales, dolphins and hump back whales that day.

Oh my God, what a great time we had. We've seen so many Orcas, some close encountures, we've seen them hunting, traveling, resting. Also lot's of humpbacks verry close. Dolphins escorting the boat jumping in joy.
Also we've seen loads of stellar sea lions, bald head eagles an other species.
We were out there for 3.45 hours and had a absolut blast with the nice crew.
An absolutely breath taking experience, worth every single cent.

Excellent crew and very friendly. They worked hard to make sure we saw as many whales as possible. We saw over two dozen humpback whales in our trip.

This is truly a 5 star experience. Roman, Andy and crew were fabulous hosts. Put us on a large pod of killer whales almost immediately. Treated us humbacks, eagles fishing, sea otters, harbor seals, dalls porpoise (surfing boatside) and finally a beautiful tour through some the islands. While Andy shared local history and lore. Great tour. Great guides. A should not miss if you are going to telegraph cove. I should mention that the ocean magic boat is an amazing platform and provides comfort for everyone.
