Most barbers just cut hair and have no idea why they do what they do. Private Barbershop is reviving the deeper knowledge of the art. You can tell by how many people it attracts to work here just to soak up the knowledge, how an “apprentice” might run over to learn from an owner when they’re doing a specific cut with a specific type of hair. It’s the best haircut I’ve ever gotten and the most I’ve ever learned about my hair.

A bit on the pricer side but Raj is very skilled. Hair washing is not a standard service but you can ask for it. The new hair washing station chair is not very comfortable. I probably won’t ask for washing in the future.

Called this place to make an appointment to cut my toddlers hair (2 and half years old). When on the phone I mention that my son cries a lot and if they are okay with that and if it will be a problem. They said no problem. When we went for our appointment I reiterate that my son cries a lot. When my son was getting his hair cut, while sitting on his mom's lap, he was crying and fussing and so forth. It went on like this for about 10 mins. Then one barber came over and said to my wife and I that "clearly this is not working out, other people are paying LOTS OF MONEY TO GET THEIR HAIR CUT HERE. " Made it seem like we were there for a free cut. Next time if you have a problem with a client you address them or the situation more professionally. We went to another location where they cut my son's hair without any issue. Definitely our first and last visit to this place.

This place is dialed in! Super clean, friendly and know their stuff! From the atmosphere, to the sitting area, to the barbers chairs; everything just works and works together well! The website is awesome as well, very easy to navigate to book appointments and pay online. Amazing experience. Returning for sure!

I've gotten my haircuts from both Ryan and Aymen, and I must say, they are both very delightful gentleman who take pride in their profession and exude the passion they have for cutting hair onto their clients. Whenever I get a haircut from Aymen and Ryan, I walk out of Private Barbershop feeling like a new man.

Justin was great except he kept talking about his soon-to-be rooftop patio.like it was still a great cut but the rooftop patio thing was a little much.

Private Barbershop is the absolute best place to get a haircut in Abbotsford. These guys actually care about style and quality, and take the time to figure out the best cut for you. No joke, I went in with one of the worst haircuts of my life, and walked out feeling like a new man.
