Master Seamstresses! Lovely people! I have been using Pro Stitch for many years. Their work is consistently of the highest professional quality! Maria, the owner of Pro-Stitch, has been sewing for 40 years. Nadia, has been a sewing for over 15. These ladies are master seamstresses! Trained in Europe, both are graduates from University Design School (5 years) They take great pride in their work and are superior craftsmen. They both share an understanding of how to work with all types of materials I’ve brought in. They set realistic expectations when tailoring as to what can be accomplished. The cost is reasonable for the quality of work received. My personal experience has been outstanding! Use these tailors, I guarantee you, you will not be disappointed!

This is the only place I will take my clothing for alterations! They are the best! The quality of the work is excellent and the ladies working there are lovely.

Super pleased; excellent price for such high quality work in both jacket & pant alterations.further, the lady who helped gave great advice when the cost of alteration wasn’t in my best interests based on the value of the clothing item i brought in (even though it was would have been an easy way for them to make a quick buck). 100% would recommend.

Would not be able to give a quote - which is fine, however they could have said that it would be a $45 dollar charge for “their time”. That should be said exactly when we said we had to think about the $375 to get a dress tailored. Regardless of whether they could give a quote. It shouldn’t cost $45 for 15-20 minutes of their time, considering 1 hour of work is only $16.75. That’s over two hours of work.

I've been here twice so far and have been very happy with the work (skirt alteration and last-minute pants hemming) - I'll definitely be back for all future alterations! They have reasonable prices and convenient hours. I'm so glad to have found a replacement for my previous tailor who left Nanaimo.

Awesome service! Dropped in with a small custom sewing project. The friendly and helpful staff took the time to understand what I was asking for and did the job on the spot! It took about 5-10 minutes for them to finish, while I waited. The work is excellent quality and was very affordable. Thank-you Pro Stitch, I will definitely be back!

Will never use another tailor again! Pro stitch always does it right, and always has the best customer service. I am always told from the beginning whether they are unable to do a job or not. This is where we bring breeches to get zippers replaced, riding jackets, anything with heavy duty zippers, they can do it, They've never let us down.

This is the best I’ve found in town. The prices are reasonable and they do what they can to get rush jobs done because the customer waited until the last minute! They stand by their work. If it’s a complex job, call ahead in case it’s busy.

I highly recommend pro stich alterations! They were so nice and finished my dress in record time! They even took the time to sew straps on day of so I could take my dress home that day! They took my vision of my old high school grad dress and turned it into a beautiful modern dress that I can wear to my university graduation! The dress looks so professional and well done! If you need any alterations done go to them!

I have used Pro Stitch for hemming, alterations, and dry cleaning and have found them to be very prompt and professional. The staff are very friendly and they really look after their customers! I will keep using and recommending Pro Stitch to all my friends and family.

I required a quick replacement of a zipper on a coat I planned to wear on a trip I was leaving for shortly. I contacted several other businesses who were not interested in this type of repair or could not do it in time. The staff at Prostitch were very accomodating and polite stating they would try to do the job on time. They did so and the repair was perfect. I was unable to tell it had been repaired. Their politeness and professionalism when dealing with me was refreshing.

I've used Pro Stitch a few times. Once they referred me to another shop. If I remember correctly, it was because they had a lot of work ahead of me. I appreciated the honesty and respect that they sent me to a competitor instead of having me wait. I recently bought jeans and wore them once before noticing the seam in the leg was coming apart. I was really bummed because I couldn't wear them and didn't have the receipt anymore, but had paid quite a bit for them. After putting it off for months (they were in my car the whole time haha) I finally brought them in to find out how much it would cost. They made a quick repair on the spot and told me if I wanted to put $2 in the tip jar I could otherwise not to worry about it. They could have easily charged me $20 or more I would have paid and not known it was such an easy fix. I've been happy with every job they've done and have had great experiences with everyone. That's what made me decide to write this review. My way of saying thank you. The couple of really poor reviews here sound completely made up to me. A competitor without as much class as Pro Stitch, that's my guess.

Zipper derailed in my new VITV.ca coat and they fixed it while I waited. I didnt have to leave it and come back. Thank you for the quick repair.
