I booked an appointment with this clinic 5 times and every time they called to move my appointment to a different day. Not impressed after rearranging my plans

They are amazing. I had to get a cavity filled for the first time in my life, so I was very nervous. But they were super professionals and comforting at the same time. Dr. Kermani, Dr. Michelle, and Dr. Kelsey are super amazing.

From reception to examination to x-rays to treatment was friendly and professional. Who would ever think going to a Dentist would be such a joy.

Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating of my tooth emergency. I called at 8am and was fit in for 10am. Staff all smiles and knowledgeable. Thanks guys

Went in for cleaning, dental hygienist is friendly and efficient. Just a reminder to floss more without sounding too preachy.

I’ll start by saying that I made an appointment with them because I wanted a temporary filing on my 2 of my front teeth and once I got there I was then told I have to pay an initial $50 for my first appointment? I wasn’t told about this prior to the appointment and any other dentist I’ve been to I’ve never had that happen. My first appointment was pretty much a waste of time as they did 2 X-rays and I was told to come back. Since it was my front tooth I wasn’t happy they didn’t book the time to fix it that day like I asked the receptionist to on the phone when I booked the first visit. The second visit I arrived and was told I had to pay $160 which was a surprise to me as I have always been covered for the same procedure any where else I’ve been. They only fixed 1 tooth and Was told I have to come back for another visit. The receptionist told me to make my appointment for the third visit and this time I asked her how much it was going to cost and she told me it would be closer to $400. When I asked about my coverage she told me that it takes about a month to find out what I’m covered for and I could bring my receipt and be reimbursed for my money which was not true! I decided not to go to that appointment and a week later my front filling that they put on came off! Any other filling I’ve ever gotten has lasted me at least three years I was not happy! I decided to call Cottonwood Dentist at the mall and had a totally different experience the lady told me over the phone that I was covered for my procedure and I got my work done no charge! I do not recommend promontory dental at all. In my opinion they are scamming there clients!

It was a great place to bring your child. They are patient and will explain the procedure to you.

Such a lovely place, you get reminders of your appointment via text and email, they send an invoice estimate prior to your appointment. Staff were very discretionary with my daughter who is easily embarrassed so we appreciated that. And everyone is so nice and caring there, including front desk staff! 10/10

Unfortunately I can’t recommend this dental office, I really dislike the open ceilings, super unhygienic feeling place. Had a few fillings here that had a lot of issues, I have pain that they can’t figure out why, didn’t offer me any other options for the pain jus staid they arnt sure why the filling they did still hurts 3 weeks after. I went to a different dentist and had an awesome experience, promontory heights dental is a far better environment. Much more professional and comfortable. They gave me some options and were able to book me in to re do the filling to see if that helps the pain. If not I’ll need a root canal. Has been a bit of a nightmare as I’ve never had issues with my fillings in the past. Sorry I couldn’t say more positive things. Head over to promontory heights dental, in my personal opinion.

Promontory Dental has always provided me great service. Friendly staff. Good systems to get you scheduled for future cleanings and other work.

Not sure where to start with this place. To preface, I have been going to the same dentist every 6 months in Delta since I was a young child. My family moved to Chilliwack two years ago, and after growing tired of the long drive to my dentist, I took the leap towards trying a local one.

I have not had any cavities or issues (aside from from some minor gum recession on one side that has been closely monitored by my dentist in Delta). I am happy with my teeth and smile. I brush 2-3x per day, and floss daily. Anyone who knows me, knows that I take my teeth seriously.

My appointment today at promontory dental made me realize that I am more than happy to continue driving an hour twice a year to see regular my dentist.

To start I had at least 8 x-rays done which seemed quite over the top (I’ve only ever had two once a year). As they were taking me into some kind of full body scan machine for a 360 degree X-ray I asked about concerns re: radiation and was assured it was fine. I asked if all the x rays were covered under my benefits, I was assured they were.

After the many x rays, the hygienist started cleaning my teeth. The scaling or polishing device had such an ear piercing sound I immediately had a headache. As previously mentioned, I’ve had regular cleanings for three decades and have never experienced anything that bothersome. At one point I got water sprayed in my hair and face (this has also never happened before, lol).

The dentist then comes in and proceeds to spray air and take pictures of my teeth. I’m told about the numerous cavities and pre cavities I have (two cavities and I think 5-6 pre cavities they suggest getting worked on). Then I’m talked to about gum grafts.what? My understanding is that this is quite a major recovery, and at no point have I been told before I’m even close to needing a graft yet. Then it’s night guards and blah, blah. You get the picture.

I couldn’t wait to get out there, but then I’m told that the cost will be $50. Ok, no big deal for dental care, but I’ve never opened my wallet at my other dentist as my benefits always covered the cost. I pay and don’t say anything, but ask for a print out of the cost breakdown. Low and behold that ridiculous 360 x ray I didn’t even want or need cost $75 on it’s own.

Moral of my story is that denistry nowadays is a big upsell/money making business. If you have a good dentist who focuses on the basics then stick with them. My impression of promontory dental is that they will try to sell you unnecessary procedures and work and I’m just not into it. I will happily be getting in my car to drive to see my regular dentist 6 months from now.

I just want to thank Promontory Dental. I am from Ontario I am a truck driver. I seen my dentist back in Ontario before I left. I had a couple teeth pulled. Well he did something wrong. I am not sure what but now I can’t sleep or eat. I called other dentist offices around town here looking for someone to help me. They all said they are book or just want to do a inspection. But not fix the problem. Well I call Promontory Dental I explained the issue and how much pain I was in. She said she will have to call me back and you know what she did. I now have a appointment for the next day. To fix the problem. Thank you very much. You are the very best. So if anyone looking for a new dentist in the area please come here because they are here to help. They may never see me again but they are still willing to help. They are true Dentists

Dr. Kermani is amazing, didn’t feel any pain after the 3 Fillings done and next day another 5 fillings on the other side, his very gentle. His CDA Sandy and Grace are very helpful. All the staff are amazing, kind, friendly. Highly recommend

I needed to get in asap after falling ice skating and breaking off part of my tooth. I saw Dr. Kermani for the first time and I found him to be very thorough, kind and sensitive to the fact that I do not carry dental insurance. He laid out all my options clearly and with pricing before he started any procedure. The procedure was successful and no more broken tooth.

Everyone that we’ve seen at the office has been kind and gentle. My kids have both had great experiences here. Happy we found this dental office!

From the moment you walk into the dental office until you leave, you are met with a friendly and very pleasant professional staff. I have a crazy phobia for any and all dental work and was quite relaxed and comfortable. I met with Dr. Kermani and he left me feeling relaxed and confident in allowing him to do my dental exam and xrays. I was also given options as to how to fix my problem. I was in for my regular cleaning, everything went as expected. All the staff are friendly and easy to get along with.

We were fit in on the day we called for an emergency. My husband was very pleased with his visit.

The hygienist was from India (I forget her name), and was very friendly! She also did a very good job cleaning my teeth, and explained to me what she was doing. The dentist (Dr. Saran) was also friendly, and took time to explain what further dental procedures needed to be done. It was a good experience!

OK where to start. I started coming to this dental practice a little over two years ago. I get regular check ups every six months and have for the past 10 years at different dentist. When we moved to Chilliwack we found this place. I went for my regular check up six months since my last one and was told I had 11 cavities. Now, I hadn’t had any cavities in years. So we started the process of getting everything fixed. The minute they started fixing cavities I started having excruciating dental pain. During my check ups they told me that the teeth in which they did the cavity is now required root canals. I’ve never had a root canal before. So I scheduled my route canals only to have them cancelled the morning of. Being in severe pain I ended up finding another place to do the root canals. Now fast forward to my last appointment about a month ago. I go for my cleaning and lo and behold they find two cavities. They fix a cavity and while fixing said cavity they tell me they found a cavity on the neighbouring tooth which they could not see on the x-ray. So they book another appointment to fix this cavity. Two days later I have excruciating pain on the tooth that they had recently fixed. I called them to get an emergency appointment. They cancelled my appointment about 20 minutes before I was to go in and told me they could not rebook it until the end of the following month even though I was in pain and they are the ones who cancelled my appointment. So I made an appointment to go to a different dental office. The surprising part here, the new dental office could not find any cavities and they had no idea which cavities promontory dental had found. The new dentist said my teeth looked amazing, were in great shape, and had no deep cavity as Was suggested by promontory dental it would have shown up on an x-ray and a physical exam. So to that avail I will no longer go to promontory dental as I believe they find work to do to get paid. I have since gone to Chilliwack endodontist to get yet another root canal done on a tooth that promontory dental “fixed” 2 weeks ago. I urge you all, please get a second opinion. Having spoken to friends.this isn’t the first time this has happened at this dental office.

I have never met a group of staff that care more about their patience experience than the great people at Promontory Dental. They have gone above and beyond to reduce my anxiety. They listen, they care, and they prove it in the treatment you receive. I'd give more than 5 starts if it let me. Thank you very much.

My daughter Megan and Daughter Emily have both recently had a chance to get work done in this clinic and they Both found everyone great and felt very welcome there. They would recommend this clinic to anyone.

I had gone in to get a tooth removed and Dr. Kim falied to diagnose a infection and procedes to opperate on tooth. Causeing freezing not to work. He broke half of my tooth off and was not comfortable to finish. Bleeding and in pain he sent to me to a wack job in ABBOTSFORD 0 pain meds nor did i have my vehicle. Complete nightmare and i am sitting at home all weekend in pain. DO NOT GO HERE. I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE.

My boyfriend has been here around 5 times to get fillings and other procedures.everytime we’ve been here everyone is extremely rude except the actual dentists (as we’ve seen a few of them) they are polite and quick and make sure your comfortable. But the receptionists are brutal and argue constantly today we realized we had an appointment booked and we’re not comfortable going in because of COVID we have a 3 month old daughter so u can imagine our fears. We called and apologized and said we will not be going in. She begins to argue with us saying how we aren’t at risk going and that only the doctors are. And how we are being extremely rude to other patients by canceling. She was arguing so hard enough that we had no choice but to say WE ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WE ARE NOT COMING IN and hang up! We will never be going back here.

It is Worst dentist I’ve ever been to. I went in for my first check up And was told that I had 19 cavities. I was shocked! I take good care of my teeth and was in no pain so I was in disbelief that I had that many cavities. I booked the appointments and had almost all of them filled. My teeth have been in horrible shape ever since. I found that all of the teeth they worked on are now extremely sensitive, my bite is off also 4 of them have broken and 2 have chipped. Ive never had any problems with my teeth until now. I absolutely don’t believe that I had 19 cavities so be carful! They are scamming people out of money.

Dr. Kim displays poor professionalism, does not make you feel safe. Put your dental hygiene trust in anyone else

My family has been going to this clinic for the last few years and had always had a great experience until our last few visits. We usually saw Dr. Wong who was always gracious and punctual. I saw a female dentist for a regular check up about 6 months ago who had deplorable bedside manner (she didn't even tell me her name) and was pushing procedures on me. Despite this negative experience we decided to give it another shot and this week I had an appointment booked for a cleaning and check up. I had waited for 35 minutes after my appointment should have started and no one acknowledged that I was still waiting and so I had to leave. I understand an emergency may have happened but c'mon- keep your patients' informed. We have since found another dentist.

All of the staff are so nice and helpful. I would definitely highly recommend them.

Beware! Dr. Kim is a general dentist trying to do procedures like 'pinhole' (gum surgery) best left to specialists like periodontists. He is clearly only looking to cash in for each $5000+ procedure and is incompetent in this procedure.
This is very evident in the fact he only shows up to do the procedure and you'll never see him again. His team (assistant and colleagues) were highly convincing salespeople and he is unprofessional and is clearly just in it for the money. All his comments in my presence pointed to the fact that he doesn't care about his patients. Right after the procedure I was surprised at how many drugs I was being prescribed and he said in these exact words: "Looks like we pulled a fast one on you". This was totally true.
I was told this procedure was 'non-invasive' with a quick recovery-that I could even return to work the following day. This is was not even close to the truth. I had a lot of pain and had a very swollen face for weeks that even my family hardly recognized me. The freezing during the surgery didn't take well and had to continually be redone. Half-way through the procedure I was left alone bleeding from my mouth so that Dr. Kim could take a 'break' (only to deal with other high paying customers). The bedside manner of him and his colleagues had much to be desired.
The result was terrible, and although he admitted to being disappointed as well, he absolved himself of any incompetency by simply saying "it's a mystery" and implicating me in blame why it wasn't a success.
The only mystery here is how he is still in business. In my opinion he is not compassionate, professional or competent.
Stay far away from Dr. Derek Kim and anywhere he practices!

Very rude, impersonal and they are there to inlarge their paychecks and business revenue. Our family have been loyal long term customers, with some staff turn over and impersonal dentist and very rude receptionist we have decided to find a new dentist.

I have been attending here for years and have always found everyone to be kind and caring as well as efficient. Have never been pressured to have procedures which are really not affordable for me.

The clinic is beautiful and clean, and everyone working there is a knowledgeable professional, making sure you understand what is going on regarding your treatment, and throughly checking your dental health.

We have been patients for many years. Excellent care and service. Would recommend them to family, friends and anyone looking for a dentist in Chilliwack.

Highly recommend this office. Dr. Wong and his assistant were very nice to me. Explained every step of the way. Gentle with everything, I didn't even feel a thing! Very pleasant dentist experience.

We went to this Dentist for simple cleaning and got end up with 20-cavities between three of us (Myself, Wife, and our 6yrs old son). They made several appointments cause they know if they do more than 2-cavities per person per day then our insurance will question them how come this person has that many cavities.

My 2-cents.you are the boss of yourself and have the right to tell the dentist to do your cleaning in just one appointment and during initial X-rays if they tell you that you have 20-cavities and you have no pain then take second advise from someone else.my wife and son had no pain yet they did fillings. Once my wife tried to cancel the appointment and their Main receptionist lady (Anita - I think) threatened her that if you cancel the appointment then they will charge us $75 fee for no show even when she is calling in to cancel appointment.

I am very disappointment with this Dentist clinic. They tried their best to rip us off. My advice to the staff before you make this many appointments for your patients put yourself in customer's shoes and ask yourself would you go to dentist 20-times? And miss work and pay each visit?
