Qualicum Beach Bakery and Cafe

I have ordered a cake for my dads birthday quite on short notice. They were very helpful and answered right away. We picked the Black Forest cake and everyone was really into it. It wasn’t too sweet and was just perfectly looking.

Excellent Cappuccino & Café Latte. You need to try their Mango Cheesecake. Simply outstanding! A ligue of their own. Great & super friendly service! I‘d return any time

Enjoyed our first visit to QBBC. The mushroom/spinach quiche was very tasty. A wonderful selection of bakery goodies, so was difficult to decide what to take home. We decided on the jam-filled donuts and were not disappointed. We will definitely be back to try other treats!

Such an amazing bakery. We thoroughly enjoyed their treats, sandwiches and goodies. We enjoyed it so much we went back two other days while we visited the area.
Fresh bread, fresh croissants, samosas, delicious cakes all made with love. We felt very welcomed by the staff and owners and Great family vibe.

Just bought 2 loaves of bread. No crust, no texture and no flavour. Not the artisan bread I was hoping for.

Tried the apple pie, peach cheesecake and the chocolate eclair. All were excellent. The coffee was delicious as well. Lovely stop!

Outstanding food and service. If you haven’t dined here, you really should! The chai tea was perfectly made. The cheese scone and carrot ginger soup were flavourful and thoughtfully plated. A real gam.

They have a great selection of desserts and prepared sandwiches. They also prepare sandwiches to order.

We sadly discovered this place on our last day of our stay in the area; we'd have been here every day if we'd known how good it is! Amazing chai, savory and sweet baked goods. Wonderful service. Nowadays prices everywhere are so high, but this Cafe maintains very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend!

Visiting the island from Minnesota, USA and happened upon this amazing bakery. We stayed in Qualicum Beach two days and made it a point to come here both days because the scones we had were absolutely incredible. Owners are so kind!

Drove down island for a Friday Bratwurst but we ended up sharing a slice of pizza and a pb cookie on a nearby bench. Well done they were delicious.

Very Impressed on our visit. We tried Kiwi Lime Pie, Pistachio Cheese Cake, and Carrot Cake So delicious. I loved the fruit pie. Cardamom Tea is the best combination with all the dessert.
The staff is very friendly.

It will be my go to spot from now on.

We are vegetarian, they made a custom sandwich for us which was delicious. Really recommend this place. Pastries are awesome too. Do try their Oreo cheesecake.

Stopped by today for a lunch on our way to the beach. Really tasty, fresh sandwiches and great baked goods. You can tell they use quality ingredients in everything they do.

I stopped by the bakery for the third time since the new owners have taken over and had a nice lunch with a friend today. My first visit i grabbed a chicken samosa which ended up being quite tasty. The pastry was tender and flaky and the filling was nicely spiced although not abundant. Next visit I was craving an apple fritter and this bakery used to make the best. Everything in the case looked delicious but I eventually decided on the fritter and a jelly donut. The jelly donut was delicious, nice and fresh. The apple fritter on the other hand tasted of Indian spices similar to the masala used in the samosas. Not terrible but not my favourite either. Today’s lunch consisted of a tasty mushroom rosemary soup that was really delicious. It was a little devoid of mushrooms but the broth was peppery in a good way on a cold day and they used fresh rosemary. My buddy loved the soup as well. It was served with a slice of buttered lightly toasted fresh bread that was delicious especially dipped in the soup. I could have eaten a whole loaf. I ordered a steak and mushroom pie and my friend got the last piece of deep dish apple pie. His pie arrived hot and my steak and mushroom pie arrived cold and in the form of a chicken pie lol I didn’t bother to complain as I like chicken pie. The apple pie was excellent with tons of fresh apples, really nice. I enjoyed the pastry of my chicken pie, even cold but very little filling and chicken. We both had coffee and it was hot and delicious. I have mixed feelings about the bakery but I will try it another time as things are pretty good. I do think it is expensive for the portion size though, so don’t be surprised.

Some of the best food I've had while visiting the island! Would 10/10 recommend this place for anyone that is visiting, worth a detour as well!
