Quality Foods Harewood

The place feels a bit like it's run by a gang of teenagers. Staff standing around chatting in the way of products, items that should be refrigerated displayed at room temperature, and all around lackluster customer service.

Good grocery selection with competitive pricing.
Love the lounge" for good beer, wine & light meals.

Such a clean well organized store with a great Deli and prepared meals. I enjoy shopping here for my groceries.

Bright and good signage.
Had something to eat at the Asian area. The food is usually quite good but today it was old and bland.

Customer service is booty cheeks and they didn't give me any Mac n cheese, I got scammed hella

I had to come up to Nanaimo on a business trip but have to work the morning remotely. I've looked up places online and loys of people recommended this place. So woke up super early and drove from Victoria to here, not even 07: 20 and I had at least three employees greeted immediately at the door. The floral department had tons of nice selection of plants plus the cafe area got really busy.

Did not get to try the lounge on the second floor because that area opens at 11am and by that time, I'm settled in the cafe and I had to leave by noon hour for the meeting across town. I was able to get 4 hours of solid work in my laptop and I had to buy one salvia and one sunflower plant. I would buy more but those two alone had to ensure 4 hours in a vehicle before driven back to Victoria for a thirsty drink.

Overall, very satisfied with the visit and will definitely return here if I have more one-day business trips that doesn't require overnight lodging.

Visited the island and heard about this store. All I can say is that the store is clean, staff are very nice, gives you smile and greets you and the favourite is the Chinese cooked food and hubby is the pizza and sandwiches. I wish they have stores in Edmonton

Nicest store in town. Good meat section. Great produce. Good deli. Small restaurant downstairs as well as a pub upstairs. Fantastic addition to the neighborhood.

Chinese food has got down hill.
Also can't even get the dry items separately packaged from the sauce cover ones anymore so everything is soggy when u get home.

Food is all breading lil meat.

The pricing is a little out of control on lots of items but they have what your looking for. Their Chinese Food is pretty good for the price and the lounge that over looks the store and serves alcoholic beverages is genius. Def will shop here again!

Very nice store. Always clean and bright. Really nice friendly staff who are also very helpful if there's anything you can't find.

Usual great QF selection, quality and clean store but always a wait at the checkouts at this location.

The staff are good and the food variety is decent. The baked goods are also excellent and I highly recommend the cakes.
The prices though. Man. When did groceries get so expensive? Like it's not even an increase of quality, it's just expensive for the sake of being expensive.

Wow! This place is amazing. What a great idea to put a lounge above your supermarket. This is a well cared foe business and a great model for others to try to follow.

I love this quality foods. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I truly enjoy the upstairs for a nice cold beer before i shop! The tacos and wings are delicious.
I do miss the $1.49 days.

My favourite grocery store in town. Excellent selection of local suppliers and grade A quality produce. Staff always welcoming and friendly, nice and clean environment inside and out. An added bonus is the restaurant and lounge upstairs as it is a great place to people watch.

I started shopping here during Covid because it is kept nicer and has less traffic than the nearby grocery store. It's laid out nicely, they clean each cart, aisles are one way, staff follow current protocol.

The produce is nice. Their app is fantastic for deals. Great grocery store

All the staff are always very friendly and helpful! Good breakfast spot Angus burger is pretty good too

I recently left my wallet at the bar and the staff have hold onto it for me there doing a good job thanks so much

Staff are very unknowlegable about products in their own departments and not very helpful in helping to look for items in question. I have asked on separate visits about products and now I just do not ask as I am embarrassed for the employee.

Ray at the checkout helped me when I was struggling with anxiety in public. Thank you so much and will shop here more often

This store is very organized. The hot food section has a great selection to bail you out if you don't feel like cooking for the family. When getting Chinese food from the hot food. They DO NOT cheap out and you will probably have food for 2 days. When they have long lines they conquer them fast. Prices are island prices.

Refreshing and awesome! To the best grocery store i have ever seen my life as it used to be like. I have changed Harewood. Thank you Quality Foods and Harewood and others and a dam good cop for giving me a safe place to smarten up and lose everything and still be safe. Only Harewood could do that and even though i am so relieved that my 46th bday will be the first one that i dont have to wonder how soon it will be until I show myself as a goof, i will for the rest of my life no matter where I go in the world, If i may, honor the world (if that's the right word for what i am trying to explain), and whatever it is that drives the good people at Quality Foods to be some of the nicest, friendliest and sincere people I have honestly ever met. And honor others by respecting myself and doing my best to respect them. And i will now be GREATFUL for a little bit OF FEAR. Just enough to keep me on the straight and narrow because we all have light and dark in us and it's up to us to grow what we want right? So yes i have changed but i hope Quality Foods NEVER Does. It's a really clean store, with solid selection and stuff. The Chinese food wok place there is exceptional, and reasonably priced. People know what's up, as there's always a line, but it's totally worth the wait.

I love the staff here but holy cow people, give people space lol. Every time i go here lately, someone always gets too close. If i can tell the scent of your deodorant.you are too close!

Butter Chicken Samosa here is off the chain good, but to be honest my wife totally loves this place because it's clean, friendly and SAFE in consideration of COVID. For instance.an ultraviolet chamber to sterilize the shopping carts. Now, I like to just sit in the car and play with my phone while she shops.and they have a really neat parking lot which I'm sure most folks don't care about.but I do, so QF gets 5-stars on my review.

This grocery store is constantly well stocked, has friendly helpful staff, and carries a good variety of produce and gluten free options. This is especially impressive as it is not a large store. The only negative I can think of is that they could sometimes have more cashiers manning the tills.

UV ray cart sanitation is a great feature. However, during my visit today I spotted someone taking the mask off while still being inside the store, and no employee stopped him. Don't feel safe at all.

A very nice new store with wide aisles. Their coffee shop has great food at very reasonable prices. The upstairs lounge and gift shop add a touch of class.

Good hot food and prepared meals for decent prices. I wouldn't recommend shopping here for your groceries though as it's one of the pricier grocery chains.

Like all shops at the moment, they haven't figured out a better way to line up at the check out.

Great variety of goods to purchase. However checking out was terrible. 2 cashier's in a busy place like that is not right.

This is by far my favorite grocery store in Nanaimo. They always have what I need, the staff are always polite and helpful, there open later than most and there line are never to long. Great job QF.

Me and my buddy had breakfast it was really good it's not the first time that I have breakfast there won't be there last either because it's really good.
