Quality Foods Parksville

Very large and lots of selection, the deli is INCREDIBLE, and the Upstairs section is really neat

Best grocery store in town as far as variety goes, and they have a very decent deli. Get a Quality Foods card and take advantage of the discounts.

The Perk Cafe or whatever they call the breakfast and lunch restaurant has the best breakfast value in town (and also at their north Nanaimo location).

Worked there watched one of the main bosses drop salami on the floor and put it back in the meat case.

UPDATE. SEPT/13/23 PARKSVILLE BC LOCATION. WHAT IS GOING ON? We enjoyed (USE TO) the pizza.but last nite got 2, NASTY. TERRIBLE crust over done OR STAIL!? Cheese on it doesn't even melt.the sauce was FLAVOURLESS!
Sorry but I will not be RE-PURCHASING not again! I will never understand why stores/restaurants remove or change WHAT WAS WORKING.cuz this stuff sure isn't.

Chinese food here is the best. Worth the wait in line and their staffs were so helpful and friendly. What a awesome experience, store overall were great as well.

For a place serving breakfast. They should have sourdough bread and cheese for scramble eggs. I'm gluten intolerance and can only have sourdough.

Hubby likes pigs feet and Quality Foods has them! We also get Chinese food there occasionally.
We also use the scanner to get a daily discount on an item of our choice.

The lady taking orders for breakfast must have been having a really bad day as she was quite grumpy.

Just wow what a store. Everything you need. Plus more with cafeteria that has a up stair eating lounge

Quality foods was very clean and tidy. The prices are a little higher in some cases than we are used to on the mainland, for example; Bubbly is $2 more a case.
The staff is very friendly, and of course, it's the only place to buy Chinese food.

I find the prices here are much more bearable than thrifty foods. All the workers are nice

Nicely laid out, good selection though noticed they were sold out of A few things. Prices Seemed a little high.

We don’t have a Quality Foods on the mainland (that I’m aware of) so it was nice to visit one during my visit to Parksville. There is food downstairs as well as upstairs. The friend I was with chose a burger and fries from downstairs. I decided to try the Thai chicken soup and a small pizza upstairs, where we ended up sitting. They have lots of spaces to sit and the food was decent enough. Only problem was that the employee who works there took away my plate with my untouched crackers and bun (accompanying my soup) without asking if I was done - hence the loss of one star. Servers usually ask if you’re done before taking your plate away.

My favorite store for groceries! This local company really cares about its customers and it shows!

We love to stop here for lunch, you can eat a variety of things for a reasonable price. We usually get Chinese food. That is by far the busiest food counter in the place, so doesn't work well if you are in a rush.

Good selection. Quality produce. Helpful staff. Decent prices. Nice merchandise displays. Open when we needed it.

You guys need to hire or train more staff to run tills. The line ups are all the way to your deli and only 2 tills open and no call outs for more cashiers? You gouge your customers enough with your disgusting prices but you can't even train your little grocery boys to run a till?

Tenesha in the deli at Parksville QF was quick to help me today while I was looking lost in the meat department. They went out of their way to sort me with my purchase AND to cut to my specifications. This took some extra time, but Tenesha really came through and I appreciate the extra effort and excellent quality of care I received. Thanks again.

Normally I’m really close by this grocery store so I go there often and the stuff there some know me, it’s expensive but I go there because for emergencies and it’s convenience. Yesterday I had an ugly experience, I went there to breakfast like I do sometimes, my mom bought some things as she was with me and my kids too were there, I bought a pop at the breakfast place and on the way out, this lady that works there, said in the really disrespectful way to my daughter” young lady what do you have there, she is only 12 years old, she doesn’t steal. What makes me the most upset it’s no way to speak to someone specially a kid that way. You guys should treated you workers to be more respectful and nicer with the customer we payed a lots of money to shop there. It’s insulting.

I love the store. The only thing that is super annoying is that employees believe they have to SCREAM when they talk into the PA System. Especially one lady.it makes clients jump out of their skin. Really not necessary.
