Without a doubt, it was the best service I have received on any trip in more than 30 years. The staff and guides were amazing, as were all of the amenities. The only bad part of the experience was having to leave. Well done QCL!

I loved the beauty and wildness of the area. The fishing was good especially for halibut, and the service was outstanding, from the boat crews to the kitchen and wait staff. Highly recommended!

Great fun with lotsa of new friends as well as old ones. Only way to fish! We go every year and is a must for everyone at least once.

I have to say, I had an amazing fishing experience. Tristan was an amazing guide and the service was great. If I could suggest 1 thing though…. If 1 or maybe 2 of your staff could say one thing rude so I could not feel like I am in a movie. But in all seriousness, everyone was so polite, respectful and courteous to all needs. I would highly recommend and already have to numerous people. I will be back.

We just got back from our fishing trip! Let me start by saying we have been to no less than 16 fishing resorts in BC, most of them pretty high end. We have seen the good, the bad and now the 'new standard 'in luxury fishing destinations.
I will put it you this way.think Ritz-Carlton Hotel with custom made boats and fishing!
You will not believe the level of service and attention to detail that has gone into making this the top fishing resort on the west coast.perhaps the world.
If you are lucky enough to plan a trip to QCL, you will embrace the word 'pampered'.

Beautiful, well kept lodge and equipment. Staff was over the top helpfull and accomidating. Food was very good and lots if it. Bellringer bar is a treat to come back too after a long day on the water. Another wonderfull touch to QCL is the Driftwood. Really good idea to bring lunch to you! More time on the water. Oh yah, the fishing.our guide Kyle B is an expert on putting us on fish. No kelp monsters on our boat but LOTS of chances to fight fish. Limits on Chinook, Coho, and halibut. Thank you QCL. Hope to come back again some day

Not a single detail was left untouched. This was without question a trip of a lifetime. Everything from the accommodations, to the dining (whether in the Main lodge, the Driftwood or the Bell Ringer) or the Fishing. Everything was better than expected. Each and every person on the staff was extremely well tuned into their jobs and were absolutely the very best at what they were doing. Need a great guide? Ask for Max! Want to watch some of the very best customer service in action? Go see MJ, Geema or Fiona just doing what they do. There are tons of more people there with to many names to mention, but I can assure you it wont be disappointing.

I've had the very good fortune of visiting QCL many times over the years and have stayed at the lodge however the Driftwood is my favorite accommodation. Your first personal interaction with QCL staff is at Vancouver Airport and from that point, throughout your trip, you'll receive the best in customer service. QCL staff are focused on making certain that your visit to any part of the Lodge is the best experience possible. Speaking of my personal experience this trip; the crew aboard the Driftwood, led Captain Issac, were superb! Outstanding dining, well equiped boats, great deckhands. Special shout out to MJ for making us all feel like we were THE most important guest on board.

Oh.and the fishing was great also.

This is a very special place. Everything runs perfectly from the flight in until the flight out. That the fishing is outstanding goes without saying but the level of professionalism from all of the staff, the dock crew, the guides, the hospitality crew and the housekeepers has to be experienced to be believed!

The food is fresh and tasty and there is a huge variety to chose from each day. It’s such a rare treat to have the MV Driftwood on the fishing grounds so you can grab lunch or have a quick stop without losing much fishing.

The little add ons like the on-site medical clinic (complete with a doctor!) spa and the hot tubs are fantastic touches.

Thanks to Paul, Len, Kevin and Bre (and everyone else) for making the trip so special.

QCL is an unbelievable experience that I would recommend to anyone, even if they are not in to fishing. The grounds and facilities are top notch. Everything is exceptionally well-crafted, appealing to the eye and creates an environment of relaxation after a beautiful day of fishing. If you are looking for something a little more lively, the Bellringer is a ton of fun! Seeing the fish weighed as they come in and socializing with the other guests wile enjoying great drinks and appies was a highlight each day. The fishing guides are exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful, ensuring that your time on the water is productive and fun. The food is world class.more what you would expect from a 5-star restaurant as opposed to a fishing lodge in a remote location. While everything at QCL was great, I must say that the service is what really sets it apart for me. The staff are all wonderful, attentive and fun and make what is already an outstanding experience even better. Kudos to the team at QCL and thank you for an exceptional weekend!

Amazing fishing resort! The staff are all so happy and never say no or they cant. I didnt want to come home, could have stayed forever. Our clients we brought were completely blown away, this resort is top shelf!

Amazing! Awesome! Wonderful! Not enough words to describe this place. The rooms are very nice, the grounds are beautiful, and the fishing is top notch! The guides are very good at putting you on the fish, while being very conservation minded at the same time. The guides work their tails off making sure you have the best time you can while on the boat.

You can spend a long time on the water fishing, so it's the perfect time to get to know people while on your boat. Spend a few days here while on the ocean with various people from on our group. Definitely made some new friends and better business relationships.

I can recommend this place high enough. The food is also great and the employees are exceptional at making sure their guests are very well taken care of.

QCL is a slice of heaven. Top of the line salmon and halibut fishing along side the most beautiful scenery and wildlife. Fishing guides are outstanding and staff are like none other - no is never an answer at QCL! Been 5 times now and will continue to look forward to these special 4 days a year.

I can't speak highly enough about our experience. From our guide Jeff, to the chef Jason and our host Noa, and everyone on their team it was a thrill from day one. Top notch views to match the elite service and that's even before the incredible time we had on the water itself. Plenty of fish to eat to remember our time, thanks to the whole team.

This was my 4th trip and as usual, it was a first class experience for this old land lubber. I specified to my guide that I was most interested in fishing chinook. We had 2 days of fishing because of the weather delays. It took approximately 45 minutes from Driftwood to catch 2 chinook each day. I told the guide I was sorely pressed because I came up to fish for chinook and time to daily limit was just too short!
Water in AM on Thursday was like glass and it was super quiet out there. What a great experience to luck out and have. Kept a 70 cm halibut and caught a 75 lb (estimated) one we put back. Didn't see any killer whales this time, but that quiet water was a suitable substitute.

Another awesome trip. Third one in 13 years and back full circle to the Driftwood where it all began. All staff were outstanding and big shout out to Garrett our guide who killed our arms! Only complaints - all the fisheries licensing paperwork which puts the admin requirements of a doctor's office to shame (but that's on the ministry not QCL) and this year the FONZ wasn't out on the water: - (

This is more than we could have ever imagined. The staff all the way around was awesome! They were so attentive and nice. The fishing was amazing! I have never had so much fun in all my life. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Amazing experience from the staff to the fishing it was perfect. I was impressed with our guide who was respectful of the sea, the fish and the entire area. He adhered strictly to the rules but also talked about the importance of respecting the fish, the sea and the Haida Gwaii territory and the environment. He maintained one could enjoy the Islands while respecting the environment. We were very impressed with our entire experience.

Unfortunately they chose to ignore local covid laws and actively disrespect and harass the First Nations that set those laws. They could have the most beautiful places to fish and the best facilities and I would never chose to support a place that treated people they way they chose to.

All I can say is WOW! What an incredible experience. If there were options to give more then a 5 star I would. We stayed in the totem house and accommodations were amazing but that’s not why I’m writing this review. The staff make that place what it is. Not sure where they find all these incredible young men and women but they are absolutely amazing. They make you feel so welcome and they genuinely care about making your stay the best it can possibly be. From the chefs that cooked our meals (Amanda and Brandon) servers (ours was Kristin) and last but definitely not least our guides. Our Guides name was Shawn Breau. You have to remember you are nearly 12 hours a day (if you want) on the water and you really get to know them, he is an incredible guide and person. I don’t have very much fishing experience and he had us on fish all week, and all kinds of species, even got to ring the bell for bringing in a 52 lb Halibut. Great job QCL! Can’t wait to see you all again.

Fishing experience was great. Food and service were great as well.
Lots of positive things but a few negative things as well.
Room we had wasn't great. No hooks or clothes rack anywhere to hang our clothes. QCL could spend $100 and easily resolve this issue by buying then installing some. Bathroom had no where to place toiletries and no where to hang clothes as well. Lighting was poor in the bathroom as well. Okay for a guy like me but not for most women.
Baseboard heater made clicking noise all night long.
The lodge layout wasn't great either as eating area was upstairs, up a spiral staircase that only one person at a time could use. I often found myself waiting with my plate of food until the stairs were available to uncomfortably make my way back to my table after getting my food from the downstairs buffet that was outside. Poor layout. Older people really struggled with these stairs. Switchback stairs with a landing would resolve this issue as well.
I liked this resort and will still recommend it.

It was one of the greatest fishing experiences I've had! Not only was the fishing excellent, but all the staff and amenities were superb.
Me and two others decided to take the 5 day self guided trip. We left on the Monday morning from YVR and arrived at the lodge just before noon and were out on the water by 1230pm and fished until 8pm! Every day we caught lots of fish and even though we didn't have a guide, all the guides there were VERY supportive and helpful. They gave us tips on what to use, how to fish it, and where to go. We were into a lot of salmon, halibut, and cod each day.
For breakfast you can have a sit down meal, but as we were all wanting to go fishing we picked up breakfast sandwiches and coffee and headed off to our boat. There were lots of tasty snacks to choose from and you can pack whatever you wanted and bring it with you on the boat (breakfast/lunch). The deck hands were also VERY helpful. At any time you had questions or requests for extra bait, equipment, drinks, basically anything, they were there to serve you with a smile. I'd like to give a special shout out to Dana, Sam, and Evan who helped us a lot, they were awesome!
While on the water there was a staff member who was called the Fish Master (Evan was one of them). This person's job is to help with any issues while out on the water. This includes providing information on where the bites are happening, asking for more bait or lures, doing any repairs for equipment like rod/reel or down rigger, or boat issues. This came in handy many times as we ran out of bait a lot and kept forgetting to ask the deck hands for more. So rather than have to head back to the lodge the Fish Master would come to you as they were always on the water all day.
Each day when we got back to the lodge there would be staff there welcoming you back with a warm towel and ready to unload your catch, weigh, and itemize it in their computer. That way you can see what you've got so far and also see all the other people's catches. There was also hot food available as well as a bar all there for you while you watch them weigh and itemize your fish and process your fish whatever way you want. I never had to clean a fish! Each night they would also announce who caught fish of extraordinary sizes and would award pins. Also, every morning we came back to our boat all cleaned up, restocked, gas filled and ready to go.
It's true that the fishing was the main event, however, after having their sit down meals, I'd say the quality and assortment of their food is something to brag about. I can't stop telling all my friends how delicious their food were and you can have as much as you want! There were buffets as well as a la carte meals and even for the a la carte meals, if you wanted more they would bring it to you freshly made! Their chefs are friendly and do a great job! I can't thank them enough for a fabulous trip! Will go again!

If it was possible - I would rate it 5+ stars. The best fishing experience available with outstanding support on the water. The lodge is absolutely first rate and far exceeds expectations. Have been there three times and will go next year as well. Some guests have been going for many years and it is easy to understand why.

This truly is first class fishing at its finest. I went from a first time Salmon fisherman to a 40lb Tyee catch and release record for my group. Thanks Tristan and all all the other incredible staff members.

Perfection! Never have i come across such a well run customer orientated business. The staff are incredible and everything is as advertised! Our guide Braedon was amazing! I will be going back again!

The best fishing experience I have ever had, this place and people were amazing way above any other fishing experience.

Just finished a week long trip to QLC, what a spectacular place, full of amazing people, we caught our limit of fish drank far too much, ate amazing meals and got waited on hand and foot and literally had the best fishing trip ever! Will most definitely be back. Fishing Guides where amazing, knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating for any and all requests, facilities and equipment top notch.

Special Shout out to Hannah in the breakfast team who ran around the main lodge trying to find my gloves that had been dried over night, when we couldn't find them and had to get to the boat she continued looking found them and ran all the way down to the boat to ensure i had them for my day. Id hire just about any of the kids that work there for my business.

Our group of 8 people had an amazing experience at QCL this past weekend. The fishing is outstanding. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable of the region. The food was off the charts. This place is a real fishing paradise. Everyone that works at the lodge goes above and beyond to make your stay extremely enjoyable.

In the 18 years of fishing in Canada and multiple locations, QCL Lodge continues to set the bar. The service, amenities, equipment, location, staff and fishing are all first class. I cannot imagine fishing anywhere else, nor are we looking. Highly recommended.

I just arrived home from QCL with a head full of memories, a new appreciation and knowledge of ocean fishing, and a freezer FULL of fish. From the initial contact with sales to communicating with the organizers, to landing by helicopter at the front of the lodge, everything was seamless, professional and OUTSTANDING. Every single detail has already been considered, every contingency has already been accounted for and has been addressed.

The staff is unreal. Friendly, welcoming, kind, knowledgeable and fun.

The guides are spectacular. Boats are in great shape. I chose both self guided and guided and loved every minute of both. The guides will help even the most novice of fishers get out and there and be comfortable. You can fish all day, no joke.

The food was incredible. Many options to chose from, an extensive wine & alcohol list. The driftwood for lunch is something you'll never forget.

The scenery is amazing, you won't find another place like it. Wake up in the morning and have a cup of coffee on your deck and watch the weather roll past, the deer grazing in front of you, the hustle and bustle of the dock as the guides get ready for their day out.

I stayed on the driftwood this trip and it's worth every penny. Groups of 12 can get the whole boat, which comes with a captain, mates, an engineer, wait staff and a chef. I learned this boat was built in 1944 and it's an absolute beauty to check out.

I will continue to go to QCL as long as they continue to keep running such a fantastic experience.

Absolutely, 100% blew any expectations I had out of the water! From the fishing guides to the main lodge to the bartenders, everyone had a smile and truly cared about the experience you were having. Takes service to a level that's hard to explain, a must see first hand!

This is a first class experience. From the lodge staff to guides they all focus on the guests. We stayed four nights. The food selection and quality are five star. The fishing may be similar to other lodges in the area but they have a mother ship to run back to if you really want to spoil yourself. Also a fish master on the water to aid boats with all kinds of service.

Everything was superb. The Lodge, staff, food, fishing was beyond 5 stars. This was a trip of a lifetime.

I've been to multiple fishing lodges up and down the BC coast and QCL is by far and away the best of them all. From top of the line equipment to Michelin star quality food it is tough to beat!

The fishing grounds are terrific with the opportunity for many different types of fish. Add on the amazing wildlife to keep you entertained while you wait for the big bite - the wales, eagles, sea lions and other animals will keep you taking pictures!

Staff is outgoing, down to earth great people that love to fish and obviously all enjoy their jobs!

5 star resort quality across the board but with a fishing theme.
I have been to several Sandals resorts and I would compare the service and food to one of those!

As per our previous 2017 trip, we had a great time on MV Driftwood with the crew and other guests.

Unfortunately Air Canada let QCL and approx 50 QCL guests down by sending what appears to be a ‘past reliable service’ Dash 7 for our return trip to Edmonton.

The ‘five’ stars are for QCL.

Air Canada did not earn any stars today.

Having grown up on the WestCoast and fishing most of my life, I was very excited to check out QCL. The trip exceeded my expectations in every way. I am officially hooked for life and highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience not only fishing, but ecotourism - first class!

A very special place with fantastic staff! We just returned from five days of an absolutely wonderful fishing experience due to the care and attention of the incredible staff at QCI. I have special dietary/health needs and everyone from the dining staff to Lance, our guide, was attentive and accommodating.and I really can’t say enough about how awesome and beautiful Haida Gwaii is. I feel tremendously fortunate and grateful to have had such an amazing trip!

Queen Charlotte Lodge is a world class operation! Excellent accommodations and food, great staff, knowledgeable guides that will put you on Epic fishing! I would recommend this fishing lodge to anyone, what an awesome adventure!
