I’ve recently had my son’s first birthday/cake smash photo session with Vanessa and she did such an amazing job! She was able to capture such great photos of my son and he was smiling and laughing with her throughout the whole shoot. She was very kind and professional and made everything so easy!

Their experience shone bright during my daughters newborn photography session. They were both thoughtful and efficient while making sure baby (and everyone else) was comfortable throughout the session.

Our Christmas mini session was just as wonderful with their lovely backdrops. I was so impressed they were able to accommodate some requests made, as anyone with kids knows, it can be a challenge to get both children take the perfect shot.

Lastly, would be my daughter’s smash cake photos session. There were so many cute photos taken that we had such a hard time narrowing them down to a few favorites!

We recently had our newborn photos done with Rachel Yoon Photography at their Vancouver/Burnaby studio and it was an amazing experience!

The studio has everything needed to make the baby and parents comfortable. Rachel and her team are true professionals who kept our baby calm and relaxed throughout the entire photo session.

One of the best parts of this experience for us was the communication and coordination before and after the photo session to make sure everything went smoothly.

Our experience with iris was amazing.she knows how to comfort the baby, better than grandma. We been a little nervous before we leave home because it was the first time we go outside after birth.the photos are great.all the family members love it, even we have not see the final product. As a new mom it was fascinating to watch Rachel work her magic with my little one. She truly is a baby whisperer. Her love and care and tenderness kept my son calm and she was able to capture the most incredible photos. She has some adorable “go to’s” for set-ups, but we also gave her some of our own props to work with and what she created was even better than we could have imagined. I was actually not looking forward to the appointment because I was so sleep deprived. But the whole experience was so lovely, relaxing and enjoyable I would absolutely recommend this to every new parent.

Rachel and her team are incredible! We got the newborn basic package for both of our children 3 years apart. Rachel is a baby whisperer I have no idea how she keeps the babies so calm and poised but she somehow does and the entire experience was wonderful.relaxing, calming, adorable and stress-free. We even added our sibling toddler to today's session which I was a big worried about, but once again Rachel and her team have the expertise to handle it and get amazing shots. The best part is the quick turn around, we got the unedited photos to choose from same day! My sister used the same service and we have recommended to her sister in law. Highly recommend for everyone!

I was very happy with my experience with Rachel and her team at their studio for our maternity shoot. Photo shoots are very awkward experiences in general and Rachel made me feel very comfortable. She was also very efficient and professional. Even the unedited photos looked amazing.

We were amazed by the quick response and they were accommodating when we had to change our appointment schedule due to my daughter coming out earlier than the due date. Dealing with Rachel Yoon Photography was a great experience. The staff responded quickly to the email and explained the sessions and the availability very professionally. The studio was very clean and organized and Emily did a great job taking my son photos. She works very quickly and wad able to provide so many different shots with different outfits and props. Vanessa was the photographer of our child's first cake smash session. 5 stars to her for being incredibly professional. We were so impressed that she knew how to make a young child to engage in front of the camera, laughed and smiled happily. We ended with many good photos to choose from. This team provided very detailed instructions and informed us ahead of time what to expect during the photoshooting day. We enjoyed the whole experience, very positive and will come back again in future for more photo sessions. I highly recommend this team to anyone who wants quality work.

Rachel is amazing. I had my maternity photoshoot after my covid 19 vaccine and I was not feeling upto it but she made me feel comfortable and she was so patient and the photos are amazing. I definitely recommend her.

The best experience I have ever had with the maternity and newborn photography. Rachel is the most talented, patient, polite and professional photographer I have come across. She takes her time with each pose. I was so impressed with her skills with my newborn, her entire team was so great. She keeps every frame so realistic and blissful. The studio has everything a newborn would need. I would recommend her to everyone I know.

We just had our session with Rachel and we are in awe of how great she was especially with my fussy newborn. My wife and I were so amazed of how patient she was and her assistant in doing all the shots we wanted for our baby boy and calming my baby at the same time. She would go above and beyond to achieve the shots you want for your baby! Also, they have cute set ups and outfits for newborns! I highly recommend her!

This place is amazing, I would highly recommend it! This studio is very professional, kind and gentle with your newborn. The photographer Emily is a baby whisperer, very patient and professional, calmed our baby down right away before he got too fussy. So amazed by everything. The studio was also very clean, they have an area for you to change your newborn and they have wipes too (warmed which is a nice touch) if you need it. They have hand sanitizer right when you arrive and you will need to take your shoes off so it keeps the studio even more clean! I wanted the pose where the baby was leaning forward and supporting his head on his hands and arms and the photographer Emily was so amazing she was able to find a way to do it! So happy and excited to the final result!

Beautiful quality photos, extremely easy process to book and shoot the photos. Emily was great at calming baby down and took some really wonderful shots in a superbly quick manner. Studio answers questions promptly and follows up. I sent my desired inspiration photos and they were able to recreate all of the pictures exactly as I had hoped, and even were able to quickly add in/change a setting while I was there. We loved the photos so much that we ordered 10 additional ones at an extra cost! Definitely worth it for memories and keepsake for your baby's milestones.

I had problems with Vanessas communication. I wish she would carefully double check of our child's spelling before she print and begin ordering the photo album and surprisingly the whole entire name was wrong. Not happy. Also for the cake smash photos, I wish they would ask us if we want the cake saved even though its a cake smash for our babys birthday. I was out of the room to clean my baby and only to find that the cake was already thrown out in the trash. I wanted to try and have some of that cake to eat because that cake was deliciously expensive and I was hoping to eat it. Its not only for pics and play. It's still food. Ask clients what to do with the cake next time please. And also I was promised to recieve my photo that I paid for as extra and I didn't get it only to email them again to ask where it is. I recommend Rachel for newborn photos but clarity and communication needs to improve from her staff.

I have used Rachel Yoon Photography twice and both experiences have been mostly pleasant. The studio is set up nicely to accommodate nursing mothers and kids with comfy sofas, lots of toys and snacks. The turnaround time for processing the photos was also very quick. The only negative I would have to give is that they send you a preview of the photos taken (unedited) so that you can choose a few from the batch to have edited. However, the photos have a giant watermark splashed across it. I get why they need the watermark but it's so big and a bit dark that it makes it difficult to choose photos because they're hard to see clearly. After I chosen my photos and received them edited, I noticed one of my children's eyes were virtually closed but I couldn't tell that from the initial batch that was sent to me due to the watermark. The only reason I went was to get family photos (which they don't offer as its own package) so I paid for newborn and paid extra to include the family photos. Unfortunately, the photo with my child's eyes almost closed was part of the family photos so I was pretty disappointed about that. Also, there were a couple photos that weren't centered properly and so the printed copies were slightly off too.

We've been here twice now. Once for our son when he was a few months old. And then again when he was six months. Both times Rachel and her team have been tremendously patient with our family. Her team are talented photographers and they are very talkative and loving to our boy when talking photos.

This place is highly recommended for anyone who desire good photos. The pricing is a little on the higher side. But we'll worth it for high quality photos. We would come back for more photos down the road. Fantastic photography business.

Rachel was super super patient. I love how she pays attention to all the details of your dress, your hair and posts. Still waiting for the final pictures, but have reviewed all the raw pictures and they are nice! Have decided to do my new born session with her too! Really look forward.

We had a mini Christmas shoot with Vanessa yesterday. Our 4 month old fell asleep as soon as we got there. Vanessa was so understanding and told us she’ll take the next group and when our baby wakes up, she can capture us. He wasn’t too cooperative even during the shoot but Vanessa was really good with him. She knew how to get his attention and make him smile. I wish I had gone with them for the newborn shoot as well as our experience with another photographer wasn’t that great. I highly recommend Rachel and Vanessa for all your family pictures. They are so amazing and sooo good with children.

Rachel was miracle baby wrapper! Still amazed by how baby sleeps through the entire session. Very patient and calming. Fun experience and will return for another session- I'm thinking cake smash!

We went with Rachel's Team for our son's 1 year old photo session. Vanessa was assigned to us and we had a great time with her. She was very patient and knew how to work with our boy. The studio is all clean and professional. They also have a wardrobe of clothes provided for a variety of looks. Vanessa was very open to our requests especially with the Hanbok and the Barong that we had prepared.

For first timers, don't worry too much about being your hand on in the background if you are supporting your child on a pose. Vanessa takes extra pictures to photoshop any hands away.

We were very happy with the results! Even though it may seem pricey at first, it all was worth it. We went for bundle that included the high-quality digital copies and a slideshow video copied onto a USB drive that we got to keep. As an extra, we ordered 3 mini-booklets with magnet ends and a big print to hang in our living room all for a very reasonable price.

Today I went to pick up print, the way girl stopped me was such a disrespectful act. I won’t say she is just doing this to South Asians but I felt on photo shoot time she makes us feel like we don’t know anything about parenting and photography.

She (her team) have great skills, but I won’t need there services on cost of disrespectful and rudeness.

Rachel is a true professional! Her studio is warm and welcoming and has all the amenities needed to accommodate a newborn. Our daughter was very fussy during her photo shoot but Rachel did not break a sweat. She gently soothed her and prepared her for each shot, all while my wife and I sat back and enjoyed the complimentary tea on offer. From start to finish, you cannot find a better photographer in this city for newborn photos!

Rachel and Vanessa are amazing and talented photographers. You may think the cost is a bit high, but believe me, they are worth every penny. I've had friends who went with photographers who charged less, but were very disappointed with the end product. With Rachel and Vanessa, I can guarantee you will LOVE not only the photos, but the process.

Rachel photographed our son for his newborn, 6 month and 1 year sessions, and Vanessa photographed him for his 2 year session. They were so great and patient with him, and were able to capture so many beautiful photos that we will cherish forever. We also ordered a storybook and a 10" x 10" photo book, both were of superior quality. One of my co-workers said the photo book was the best one he has ever seen, and another said the storybook is so unique and one-of-a-kind! I look forward to having them photograph our family again in the future!
