I rarely, if ever, write reviews but I just had the best experience at rack stop. My 5 year old Thule bike rack needed repairs and I first went to the Thule store where they said they couldn't help but directed me to rack stop. So I went and told them my issue and within seconds found the solution and literally didn't charge me for it. To me, that's above and beyond and though I didn't buy my rack from there in going to be referring everyone there and anything I'll need in the future, I'm definitely buying there. Can't put price on exemplary service/experience. Highly recommended!

I bought a tent here. I was pleasantly surprised with the fast and detailed contact over an email. I was able to schedule installation immediately this way. There were some complications during the installation, but they were able to admit their mistake and compensate for that. I just wish they would call me earlier so whole thing could be resolved faster. Overall very positive experience. Also this the only place I talked to which didn't charge extra for an installation (honestly at this point it was a complete surprise). I could do it myself, but I have no way to bring the purchase home (other than renting a truck - tents box is way too big). I met Greg, the owner, and I would like to thank him for his help!

No fee's or appointments to install, owner is on site, best range of product in Vancouver and everyone is extremely knowledgeable and freindly. Their customer service is hands down better than Rack Attack.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at the Rack Stop. I bought the Hybox hard shell roof top tent (2 years ago), they were accommodating with the installation and finding me the proper mounts. The tent was later recalled by Thule and I'm currently in the process of dealing with the recall. The Rack Stop has been supporting me the whole time with answering my questions and following up with Reps when needed. I've mostly dealt with Greg (I think one of the owners) but all the staff have been friendly and not once made me feel like my recall situation was an inconvenience to them. They are knowledgeable about their products and will help you find the best fit for you.

Kudos to your store and staff! We purchased a new Outlander PHEV and needed a hitch, which was no small feat in a pandemic and with a new vehicle with few options available. The staff were super helpful in getting us sorted out. The hitch that had been ordered turned out not to fit and Steve managed to find one in Burnaby, get it delivered and get it installed all within a few hours as I was only in North Vancouver for a short time, having come over from the Island for work & to get the hitch installed. They were so helpful and I'm grateful that they were able to get us hooked up with the needed part so we could get our bike rack on and back out on the trails!

I received excellent service buying a roof rack here. I bought a rack and the bars ended up not working with my kayak racks that i already owned so I went back and they changed my roof rack bars for free so that they worked with my kayaks. I was very pleased by the quick and efficient service that i received here and that they stand behind what they sell! I will definitely be back.

The staff were really helpful. Both people we spoke with listed to our needs, identified options, helped us to try them and suggested alternatives. We were able to find a solution even though getting a fit for our vehicle was challenging.

I was looking for a roof rack + ski carrier for my car and I opted for these guys after speaking with quite a few shops around Vancouver. I found them to be professional, efficient (the entire system was installed within less than 15 minutes from the moment I arrived), competitive price-wise (their solution ended up being 30% cheaper than anything else I could find), friendly, and very patient (for a novice customer with many questions:) - highly recommended!

Very happy with the helpful and knowledgeable staff here! I got a hitch and Kuat bike rack installed on my vehicle after the staff gave some very helpful advice over email about my car's capacity. The install went very smoothly. The rack did develop some play after a bit of use, but I was able to bring it in without an appointment and the staff did a thorough and impressively quick job of assessing and repairing the issue, free of charge. It has been perfect since then!

I recently got a Rad E bike. It was a bit too heavy to put in and take out of car. Started doing a search for a bike rack. Phoned 4 companies (business hours) 2 didn't answer their phones and 1 you couldn't leave a message as their voice mail box was full. Called Rack Stop in North Van. Person who answered the phone was pleasant, informative etc. Booked me in for 3 days to come and get installation. I was not sure exactly what I needed when I arrived at the store. Justin gave me a couple of options, one which had a portable ramp to wheel the bike into place. I was sold! They had it all installed and ready to go in 90 minutes. Walked me through how to use it etc. Pleasant, professional, very knowledgeable! Highly highly recommend them for any rack requirements!

I bought a used roof rack and unfortunately the tower that was sold to me is discontinued and they no longer made the associated fit kits for my car.

They were able to get me set up with a new base tower and fit kit in a snap at a reasonable price with free installation.

Great experience! I first called to get a quote and asked a bunch of questions. Vince was able to answer them all and was so patient with me. Decided to go with them to do a custom roof rack installation. Their technician, Justin, met with me the morning I dropped off my car and he took the time to explain to me exactly what is going to happen, answered all my questions, provided me with suggestions, and was overall very informative. Last year I took my old 4runner to get crossbars and a kayak rack installed. Throughout the entire process the staff were very knowledgeable and professional, they explained the different options every step of the way and whole experience was fantastic! I have recommended this place to all my friends looking to get any type of rack installation done on their vehicles.

Highly recommend! Justin did a custom track install for us on our Jeep hardtop, and was an absolute pleasure to work with! These guys are easy to approach and highly knowledgeable. The track install was clean and low profile, with separate tracks for the main hardtop and the sun panels. The quote they provided in advance had no surprises, and we were able to book the install within 48 business hours (same day torn around). I'm very happy we found this place through an excellent referral by our mechanic Rob, at Wetmore Motors.

Walked in the showroom looking for a hitch bike rack. Mitchell greeted us and asked how he could help. He offered us a few options, explained the pros and cons of the Thule vs Kuat options as well as provided a quote. Then left us to decide but was nearby to answer questions. When we decided to go with the Thule, he checked the stock and colour we wanted and said it would be 15 min to assemble. After a short walk around the block, he showed us how to use the rack with a bike in the showroom. Mitchell then installed the bike on the car and swapped the lock cores to match our roof rack. We then paid and were on our way. Great service all around.

They did an excellent job installing the roof rack on my Range Rover back in 2018, yesterday I was missing some pins to reinstall it and they gave me some replacement ones for free. I do recommend them. Plus now you can have a craft beer next door while waiting to have your rack installed.

We went to Rack Attack at first but the prices were just too much. Rack stop has much more reasonable prices and the service was fantastic! Mitchell was a huge help in selecting the right bike rack for us. He even installed it for us (and cleaned all the rust from the receiver) and took the time to make sure we knew how to use it. Can't recommend them enough!

My inquiries were ignored by another competitor and so I went here and they answered everything and they really wanted to make sure you have exactly what you need and want. Their customer service is unbeatable! Anything you but from them you know you aren't just covered by a manufacturer warranty but by their promise to you.

Beware! This place will tell you anything to charge you extra money! I got a trailer hitch installed here on my vehicle and chose Rack Stop because despite charging $200 more than the next most expensive shop (out of 5 quotes) they told me this is because my vehicle specifically had a complicated electrical system and that it requires special expertise which is why they have to charge more. They told me it would take 3 hours to complete and upon arriving they ended up dragging on this install with me waiting in their shop for another 2 hours on top of that. A couple weeks later I had to get my vehicle towed at 2am because it wouldn't start and I was stranded. The next day the dealership informed me that this was caused from an electrical connection not being tightened properly after the wiring kit was installed for the hitch. I didn't leave a review then but a year later, now I have a completely different vehicle and called for a quote and they gave me the exact same story about the electrical system in this particular vehicle being particularly hard to install. This time I went with the cheaper shop and they had the entire thing installed in 1 hour with no issues and said that there is nothing difficult about the electrical. This shop tells lies and takes so much longer because their installers are incompetent, yet convince their customers that this is because the job is "extra difficult". Maybe they are "experts" at bolting a rack on but that's as far as that goes.

Thanks for the absolutely outstanding service from the team at Rackstop – we spent a lot of time looking at options for my needs (carry a very long mountain bike, without losing camera and rear park sensors). I had the chance to try the bike on a few racks - nothing was too much trouble, practical advice offered and no pushy sales pressure. Fitting was fast and done with attention to detail. We called the night before, found out they had everything we needed for our roof and bike rack system and drove in the next morning with it all installed within an hour. We came in with a very old Yakima bike rack. We needed a few replacement parts and an adapter. Vincent found what we needed right away. He also noticed we had a rusty lynch pin which was at risk of getting lost when we took it out since it no longer attached to the frame by the wire tether. He replaced that part free of charge. Very impressed

Purchasing a bike rack here was a pleasant experience. Friendly staff, and excellent customer service! One of the locks didn't work for the correct key on our rack, and the owner came all the way out to our home in Surrey to fix it. Overall, would definitely recommend!

Amazing service. We dealt with RackStop when we had to warranty our Yakima box. They went out of their way to help us process the warranty even though we did not buy the box through them. When we came to pick it up they installed it and even fixed out crossbars as there were a number of screws that were missing and loose. What amazing service, highly recommend Rack Stop!

The guys at rack stop are simply incredible! We had to switch some hardware from one vehicle to another, had broken and missing parts.anyway, the guys at the store spent a couple of hours with us fixing the problem and got us back on the road. It literally cost is $15 for replacement part, nothing for their time, expertise or service. I was blown away. I will always return to these guys for anything car rack or storage related. Amazing!

I had a very unique problem with my bike rack and out of all the places in the lower mainland, Greg was the only person to answer accurately and economically.

Basically, I had a 1.25" bike rack and a 2" receiver. I needed a longer bolt to make the bike rack work on the 2" receiver as it had increased in width. One shop told me I needed a $$$$ part and that no bolts existed that would work for my situation. Others were able to help but required my presence to determine which bolt I needed.

Greg called me after I left a brief message and told me the bolt I needed, the part number, and informed me it was in stock ready to buy at any time. I confirmed the part number online and it was the perfect solution I was looking for.

I made an effort to drive further to support this local shop as they provided me with a no fuss solution promptly. The customer service here is top notch and Greg is world class. He even walked to my truck and helped me install my rack to ensure that the problem was solved.

For any advice, installation, or sales questions I have no doubt that this shop will provide you with unbiased and friendly solutions.
