Raku Rice & Noodle Bar

The best ramen and gyoza we have found in Canada. Having lived in Japan before it has been hard to find an authentic ramen- highly recommend.

I like this place because it is just nextdoor from our shop, and the food was good.

This restaurant is right next to our construction company. Business is very good on weekdays at noon, and the field staff may be a little busy. If there is a huge crowd.

There’s not much to ask for in Vernon. Even if it’s very mediocre, it doesn’t really surprise me. So even if it’s mediocre, it’s okay to eat it occasionally.

The udon noodles are sometimes too salty, but basically the performance is very satisfactory!

Terrible delivery/take out experience. Small portion with low quality ingredients for $20, with currier tip we paid $27 for one, small portion of ramen. Noodles were cooked in a wrong way, half an egg only and broth that tasted like from the store bought can. I don't understand all the good reviews.

The ramen here is absolutely out of this world. If you're looking for authentic ramen, do not miss Raku. The spicy garlic ramen or raku ramen are 10/10.

Ugh, salivating just thinking about it!
Just go. It’s amazing! Have the beef Udon. Thinly sliced beef in what tastes like misu broth, udon noodles, veggies, boiled egg. Comes in a monster bowl as big as my head.

I have came to Raku a few times now, and every time the food is amazing. And the service was great too. Highly recommend eating here.

I fell in love with ramen here! It is one of my favourite restaurants in vernon! I suggest it to all my friends who have never tried and it was turned into a favourite among the group! Staff are friendly and learn your usuals and help with suggestions if you want to try new things!

Literally nothing is open in Vernon on a Sunday but this place apparently, and boy am I glad this was where we ended up. The ramen was delicious and very authentic and I loved the huge list of additional toppings you could add, it made us reminisce about all the ramen we got to enjoy in Japan. With the additional toppings we ordered plus drinks on a happy hour special, we probably spent ~$25 per person which was super reasonable. Definitely recommend!

In town for hockey and was hoping for a good bowl of pho. All the pho restaurants were closed so went to Raku amd had the spicy garlic ramen soup. Fantastic! Cant wait to come back.

I ordered take out Feb 10 2023 and I called in with my order, told them I was 20 mins away and they said it would be ready when I get there. I got there and waiting nearly an hour for my food. We got two orders of the super ramen and pop and it took 20 mins drive in and 45 mins at the restaurant. I can say I wasn't happy with the service but the food wad great.

Best service for me food was excellent every time price is very reasonable I come for something that would take awhile to make and never disspointed atmosphere just like any noodle bar love it and the people who server and cook are the best

I love this restaurant so much. The food is divine and the service is 2nd to none. The atmosphere is so comforting it reminds me of home.

I'm stuck at home sick and all i wanted was soup last night. So I tried your Raku Ramen for the first time and it was amazing, lots of veggies, meat, even a boiled egg. So good and filling. My husband and daughter who are extremely picky both loved their orders as well and the hand written note that accompanied our order was so thoughtful and appreciated? I absolutely adore this restaurant, the noodle bowls are my go to. Very yummy and rich with flavour and the staff are always nice.

Delicious every dish I’ve tried has been beyond regular standards I’ve tasted in Vernon.
I live in Chilliwack and would travel here just for ramen vs places I’ve tried in Vancouver.

This place has some really delicious food. I'm a huge fan of the rice bowl, with either chicken or the beef. Great portions. Tasty food.

I order on the regular- so flavorful, well prepared, and most of all consistent. You can always trust that it will be bang on. Tastes home cooked, lucky to have this in Vernon.

The food is tasty, and the atmosphere is really cozy and comfy. If you're looking for a ramen place in Vernon, this is definitely the one. Also the owner is very sweet.

My companion and I enjoyed the food we ordered.
We shared two sushi rolls and 2 beers.
What I loved- the rolls were really quite large. They were freshly made.

Just excellent little noodle bar. Outstanding flavours that challenge but don't burn. I brought the second half of my bowl home for dinner tonight!

Very nice, authentic Asian in downtown Vernon. Good selection, nice presentation. A good lunch stop or for a quick dinner.

The best ramen I have had to date. Beating out many of the big city locations I have been to. Worth checking out!

Raku has an excellent food discount when you dine in between 2-6pm. Japanese food can be expensive in Vernon so this really helps.

The spicy broccoli, vegetable, and yam tempura taste great. The only omission from their menu is yakisoba. Staff is super friendly. If you need yakisoba desperately, head to Mahoroba.

Mahoroba and Raku are both excellent Japanese restaurants here in Vernon. The veggie raku rolls also tasted really good too.

I will definitely come back here.

The Ramen noodle soups are amazing. The broths are homemade, rich and very tasty. Great toppings. Great friendly service. I highly recommend Raku Rice and Noodle bar.

The Tonkotsu Ramen is absolutely delicious! It's as good as what we have in Japan. Raku Ramen puts the noodles and broth in separate
take out containers so the noodles are at the perfect firmness. Highly recommended!

Raku is awesome! The ramen is great, their small plates are on point. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! The pic attached is an example of the fun stuff that Raku does.

We ordered delivery from this restaurant last night, first time trying it and we were blown away! Everything was so flavourful, my two year old loved sipping on the chicken broth and stole everyone's eggs! We can't wait to try again!

Raku is the most delicious restaurant in town! It is the one restaurant we know where everyone in our family loves their food: our kids love the noodles, eggs and gyoza and my husband and I love every element of the ramen from the broth to the spice level to the noodles; amazing. Thank you Masako and team for creating this wonderful gem in Vernon.

Went here based on good reviews and was not disappointed. Lucked out and went during happy hour so $3 appies that were hearty. Good food and good service we will be returning!

I think we caught them on a busy night.
They could have been good but unfortunately, my spicy sesame ramen was missing a few items- no chicken, no kikurage and no bamboos. Just a bit of soup and noodles with green onions. Flavour was there though.
My hubby’s dragon ramen was flavourful however also lacking a lot of the protein items.
The octopus karaage was good but pricey for just 6 small pieces.
Service was slow - like I said, busy night. The male waiter was nice though - so sweet. The other female waitress was not as friendly.
The restaurant can do so much better. It’s too bad!

It was pretty cool to get a noodle bar in this town, and they were nice to have at the start. The food is decent - Nothing truly great. The sushi is actually pretty poor. Mostly, I find myself looking at their latest prices and realizing it's a full dollar fifty for any addon; stuff that really should just be 50 cents to get, knowing the cost of the ingredients as someone who works in restaurants. This results in paying upwards of 30 dollars for a single bowl, just getting things like double noodles and flavoring.

Food was tasty! I find the vegetarian broth is better than the pork based broth. Highly recommend! Staff is also super friendly and quick!

Horrible Service! We waited over 1 hour for food and it was the wrong order. Do not waste your time coming here. Not worth the wait.

Best ramen since our trip to Japan! Super ramen is amazing, and the price is right. Courteous and helpful staff, this is an Excellent choice if you’re looking for real ramen.

This place deserves 6 stars! Nothing else to say except if you give Raku anything less then 4 stars, you're a monster and nothing can please you!

Craving a rich, deep endlessly flavorful bowl of ramen? Raku is the answer. Bonus: they can replace the ramen noodles with zucchini zoodles for those on silly low-carb diets!

This is hands down the best food on the entire block, and one of the best restaurants in Vernon! - I recommend the sushi rolls as well as the deluxe ramen.

Besides the awesome and personable staff, it’s a really peaceful, welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing environment to share a meal.

I’m in town for a week and I’ve had three lunches here. Fantastic! Soups are delicious and hot! I’ll be back next time I’m in town!

Messed up our order multiple times, food wasn’t that great, and it all came in stirofoam which is ridiculous.

Very tasty. I will go back for sure, the flavour was amazing and great gluten free options. Portions could be bigger and the place was very cold.

Overpriced compared to similar restaurants. I ate here twice out of convenience and won't go back a third time. I love ramen/Asian soups but I found the food here mediocre and unusually expensive.

Very good soups with delicious broth, I met one of the managers named Danny and he was very nice.good people there, this will be a frequent spot i go to.

Everything was fresh but the salad I ordered was bland tasting and skimpy.
The sushi rolls were good, but the service wasn't great, had to get their attention a few times to ask for missing items, and the food came out at odd intervals, not together. Plus it was really cold in there!

Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. The shrimp skewers are high quality. All ingredients for that matter are good.

Unfortunately the flavors are a little bland. The broths are very simple with no acid, spice, or complexity.

Spot on absolutely amazing. The food is 5 star there is something for all pallets and dietary choices. Very open, seating is good and room for large parties. I will take as many people here as I can

My favourite lunch or dinner spot in Vernon! Spicy garlic ramen is amazing. I’ve tried many ramen places before in Vancouver and this place is still my favorite! The service is always friendly.

Amazing food and a very clean place. Such tasty ramen with all shorts of flavours.
