Ramada by Wyndham Kamloops

They do not clean the rooms they just make the bed to make it look like they did. I inspected my room as soon as I walked in and the carpet was full of dog hair, there was a yellow stain on the bed, long and short black human hairs on the bed. This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever encountered. Clearly, this is an ongoing problem with them.

I rarely post reviews, but this felt necessary. 3.2 stars (at the time of this writing) seems quite generous. Outdated, dirty, in disrepair.

- No secured parking.
- Rooms are in poor shape, despite boasting "newly renovated rooms".
- Dirty bathtub, stained toilet, long strands of the opposite colour hair than mine in the bathroom, dirty coffee maker.
- Peeling wallpaper, multiple rips in curtains, one bathroom outlet didn't work.
- Inconsistent WiFi signal.
- Very noisy through the walls. Some loud mechanical sound is coming through the hallway or bathroom wall (Water pipes? Elevator? Someone using a weedwacker with an amplifier?). It's clearly audible over the tv. Had to put earplugs in, while in my own room.
- Bathroom dispensers for soap, even hand soap, were empty with no alternate packaged handwashing soap bars.
- Beds are very soft. Not my personal preference.
- Very thin bedding.
- Walked into a freezing cold room (at the end of December) because the heat wasn't on. Sat with my coat and hat on for 20 minutes until the room warmed up.
- No modern television (Chromecast, apps, streaming services, etc.).
- Very small fridge (smaller than the usual mini fridge).
- Very small bathroom, not suitable for two people to stand in/get ready in. Barely able to maneuver in it as one person.
- Staff were friendly.

The worst accommodation I have experienced. Had this not been a business trip, I'd be asking for my money back and would book elsewhere immediately.

Would not recommend.

Nicely located. Convenient. Quiet and clean rooms. Reasonably priced. Well groomed and courteous staff.

A bit out of the way. Rooms were well kept. Stain on sheets. Concrete stairs in disrepair. Homeless people knocking on doors at 4: 30AM. Hot tub under maintenance. This hotel is in disrepair. Only stayed one night. It was enough.
ALL STAFF, super friendly and accomodating.

Vanshika greeted us with a smile and a kind attitude, that made the first few moments great there were a few minor inconveniences that she remedied with some gratis marketplace items.

Rooms were clean and cozy. Would probs come back

The front desk assistant and the hotel assistant manager are Lyers. The hotel manager is a coward who would not return any of my phone calls or emails, even after I contacted head office. The hot tub was not working when I checked in but the front desk assistant did not Inform me about it. When I went for a soak that's when I was aware that it wasn't working. When I asked why it's not working she's says it will be working in the morning, but when I checked out in the morning the front desk manager said "we don't know when it will be fixed, we are waiting on a part ". She was the only one who told the truth. The assistant manager wasn't aware that the hot tub was not working and she also claimed that she was the manager. I stayed at another Ramada in the past and I like it, but with this cowardness and lies never again. And to let whoever reads this they block the internet like Trudeau. NEVER AGAIN.

That’s crazy, y’all just be charging people who could’ve died in the fires coming to your hotels AND don’t give refunds? Hope that front desk guy gets fired for not sending people to his manager because they wanted to speak with them and just abruptly hanging up multiple times, most unkind and probably stinks too

For a "Ramada" was absolutely the most dirty, disgusting, unkept hotel I've stayed in. Between what I assume is bloodstains on the hallway carpets and the multiple drug users in the "parkade" right in front of the office making it very clear what they were doing, between the glares, coughing and swearing. Would've moved up the road to the Best Western but booked online ahead of time and they already processed my CC for deposit. Only saving grace if any was the restaurant that provides for this utter dismay of a hotel. The waitress that served my family was beyond fantastic and made you feel at ease obviously knowing the nitemare you just endured staying in this abomination of the Ramada hotel chain. Best advice, avoid the Hotel,

This Ramada is like a $29 motel from a horror movie. Its dirty, used and dated. Owner should be ashamed to have this place look the way it does.

This room is disgusting. The counter with the coffee maker has dried on coffee coffee spills (not stains because I used a cloth from the bathroom to wipe it up), the microwave is disgusting with old food caked on the walls, the floor has literal candy wrapper garbage on it and it looks like the vent beside the toilet is splattered. I wish I could post the photos here.

Stayed here for 4 days on buisness and is was a terrible experience. Large groups for teens running and shouting in the hallways, knocking on the doors at 3 am and running away. When we went down to the front desk they said they weren't allowed to say or do anything. There was also no housekeeping or parking available. Breakfast was terrible and the carpets were stained.
Another member of my group had a large brown/red stain on their comforter and asked for the bedding to be changed, they arrived back to find that they had just flipped the blanket over and made the bed. Our company has removed it from the list of recommended hotels.

The room did not look as advertised. Part of the room was I guess designed to have a kitchen but was never completed. Trash was lying right in front of my door and I could easily hear other guests and their footsteps. I cannot recommend this hotel. I checked out right after checking in, and the hotel refused to give me a refund.

Room was clean, bathroom was not. There were hairs in the tub, on the shower wall and floor. Barely any toilet paper on roll and not a second roll to be seen in the room, actually ran out. Shower curtain also not there at all. I had to ask front desk for toilet paper and shower curtain, which I put up myself. Also had a half used bottle of shampoo on the counter. If we weren't down for a medical appointment we would've gone somewhere else. Won't recommend this place.

After reading the reviews we did not even go there.we saved ourselves the anger and got a room at Scott's Inn and Restaurant. Dated but clean. So save the headache and just don't stay here.don't let the name fool ya!

1st room was not clean (food in fridge, drug powder and capsule on table, hair in bathroom)
2nd room also not clean (sticky substance on window sills, broken window)
3rd room acceptable. - very apologetic about mishap, but will be telling booking agent.

Very disappointed in this place, customer service was impatient and not friendly. Room has a funky old carpet smell, the air conditioner filters haven't been cleaned, and there's a lot of stains, scratches, Peeling wallpaper, dirt and what looks to be possibly even mold all over the place.
The pillows and sheets are yellow stained, the shower has hard water buildup. It's quite clear that this place doesn't do much in terms of maintenance and cleaning.
The walls are very thin, you can hear people in adjacent rooms, upper and lower as well, and anything happening in the hallway.
Absolutely avoid this place if you can.

The Ramada hosted us for our corporate safety meeting. Manager Tanya was extremely kind, accommodating, and efficient. Venue was exactly what we were looking for. Clean and nicely staged. Catering was provided by the restaurant in the hotel and was delicious. I also recently started staying at the hotel. Extremely spacious and clean room with all the amenities I could need. 10/10

I stayed here overnight, and it’s the most disgustingly dirty hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We had poor reception service, upon arriving early (afternoon receptionist was more pleasant). In the hallway, the carpet is dirty (see pics), the room is musty, and the floor is dirty. I honestly could not sleep all night.

The hotel certainly does not match the pics on the website. The room was musty, the floors so dirty we had to wear shoes inside. The walls were dented and damaged. There was HAIR all over the bed that was not from us. The tub had a ton of unknown stains, and a greasy film in it. Ran the hot water for 5 minutes before daring to have a shower. The plumbing inside and outside was extremely loud.

To top it off, they took a $100 damage deposit over and above without approval on my CC!

As a former Acting GM for a Ramada and a Wyndham Rewards member, this hotel needs an Executive from Head Office to do a site visit to bring it up to standards, or it should lose the Ramada name.

If we were not in town for a funeral, we would have left immediately. All one has to do is check the reviews on this property to see that we are not a 1 off complaint!

I was there with a group dining last night. Who ever their cook is should consider retraining to be a brick layer becsu3se a 4 year old would do better. Waited over an hour for my food and then to get a disgusting meal totally unacceptable poor service as well.

Decent mid city location; close to many things, out of downtown
They are in the midst of renovations, I sure hope they replace alot more,
Housekeepers need to be more thorough

This hotel was booked last minute online. I thought I could rely on the brand for a good basic standard of hotel. The hotel was filthy. There were stains on the carpet and furniture, the room smelled like it had been smoked in and the bathroom was not overly clean There was a huge pile of garbage in the parkade. It looked like they were renovating at least a part of the hotel but I would not recommend a stay unless you are certain that those renovations are complete.

I think people give this place a hard time over hall carpets. The room was very clean, new and comfortable. The place is definitely under renovation and there is signage saying so. Staff is friendly and for the price I paid, very happy. Ty

Our ‘non smoking’ room stunk like cigarette smoke. Rooms are very run down.
Just to be clear, they advertise EV chargers on their website but this hotel does NOT have EV charging. They have an outlet.

The service was good. The shower had mould, and the room was a bit dingy. All in all, an alright

Everything is very beige and dated. You have to go up 3 levels to cross a bridge to go down one level to get to your room. No proper signs. More like a 2 star hotel. Very loud as it is right on the highway. Wouldn't stay here again.

I called ahead. “Do you have a pool? ” I said.
“Yes. ” He said
“Is it open? I asked.
“Yes. ” He said

I got there. There is no pool.

Outside they were sealing cracks with tar. Sooo stinky. My mom was dying in the hospital and rooms were hard to find. I stayed.

Afterward I was charged $250 for one night in a $160 a night room. They also took another $100 as a damage deposit. I have not gotten it back yet.

Don’t go here. Really.

The space was clean. But the soundproofing is very bad. Upstairs you can hear footsteps very well and the shower in the next room is too loud.

The hallway is filthy… and the plumbing makes a lot of noise. The room itself was alright but way overpriced for what the hotel is.
