Ramada Limited Golden

Nice room, only complaint was the water pressure in the shower but other than that a great stay!

Great location, lovely hotel, ladies on reception were lovely, made us feel welcome & at home. Room was big and the views from the front of the hotel are amazing.

Decent rooms and the pool was refreshing. Breakfast was pretty good as well. The staff wasn’t super friendly.

We didn't enjoy our stay much. First, front desk people, except the Indian looking gentleman, were rude and aggressive. It seemed they didn't know anything about customer service. When we were checking out or asking questions they seemed annoyed

Second, the room service was not good. We've been in a 2 bedroom suite for 6 people and there was only one tiny shampoo and conditioner, two soaps and four towels in the bathroom! Considering people use the swimming pool and they need to have a shower afterwards that was strange.

Third, on the second day when we were going out, I asked the house keepers to clean our room and put extra toiletries and towels they said sure by 1 pm we'll do that. At 3: 15pm we are back and the room seems same as when we left it!

The breakfast was decent. Sheets were clean and fresh, but my room had the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Carpets were very dirty, and curtains as were in need of laundering as well. Bathroom was clean.

I booked online, checked in with my phone and once I got to the desk (during a very busy time) they just verified information and added a credit card to the file and done! Breakfast had a lot of variety although I missed not having waffles.pool was decent size and it was open until 10: 00pm so that was nice! Rooms were nice and clean and the overall appearance of the hotel was pleasing! 100% the opposite to the last Ramada I stayed in (different province).

Location is perfect with all necessary amenities close by. Hotel and room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast, hot tub and vending machines. Check is was super fast and efficient. I would definitely stay again!

Do you know how depressing it is to be a return visitor and set a 7am alarm for breakfast only to find that they REMOVED THE WAFFLE MACHINE! How can you continue to rise room rates for ‘ok’ rooms and remove the star feature of the continental breakfast? The waffle machine is the epicentre of a good hotel breakfast. What a disappointment. Also the guy at the front desk was sort of grumpy. With the new highway construction going on this hotel will continue to rise rates and lower services. Will stay elsewhere next time.

I’m not sure how it got even three stars, but I’m being generous giving the two. It is a run down, old, greebly (yes-that’s a word!) hotel. WELL past it’s best before date. Or maybe I just have standards. I will say I found the bed relatively comfortable and the bedding was nice as well.

Front desk staff was combative when asked to address problems with the room, e.g, air conditioner had been left on high, so the room was freezing, but the heater was not functioning.not working. There was no shampoo and the conditioner was half-empty conditioner, which led to some gross speculation.

Great customer service with great breakfast for the price. Especially front desk staff with a great helping mentality.

I asked as soon as I walked in for a jacuzzi room and then was giving a regular room had to go down and ask again. Then In the morning my shower would not work at all and they told me that I’m lying offered me $10 off a $350 room. Terrible service. Made me feel like an in convenience while just trying to enjoy a splurge night in a hotel.

Attempted to try and stay. Front desk person was very rude. Said he had a room and then as he's about to rent it to us, his boss says " no can't rent them that it's for my friends" and then refuses to rent it and instead offers us a 3 room for 450 a night. Absolutely garbage service. Aviod.

Poor sanitation. Flipped over a pillow and was about to lie down when I saw a big black insect wriggling underneath the pillow. Disgusting!

Check in staff friendly and professional. The room was not so clean and looked a bit outdated. Breakfast was good.

Do not stay here if you have any allergies! - Booked months in advance with a question of 2 months notice can you cater to gluten & dairy free, we were told ‘yes’. The only item at breakfast which is gluten and dairy free are the bananas! We were informed everything is pre-cooked so they couldn’t even fry me an egg to eat. Awful service. The rooms are a good size but the towels had hairs in and the bath was sticky. Overall we couldn’t wait to leave.

The carpets were dirty but the actual room was clean. Breakfast was good and overall friendly staff

Well our check in guy was quite non caring on our truck breakdown situation that happened tonight on route to this hotel in Golden and that was my first letdown. I tried to tell him about what happened and he was so non engaging and insensitive and I am just not used to that!

2nd letdown was the hot tub jets.so super weak and barely circulating! I really needed a soak after such a long day driving from Alberta and then the moving truck breakdown fiasco and all that stress! WHY can the hot tub jets not be turned up to just regular working power? Come on!) :

Cannot give a 1 star but a 2 star solid rating is all I can give! As I am disappointed. At least try and listen and FAKE it even!

Great value for a large adult family. We had 1 room with 3 queen beds. The room was cold when we arrived which was unpleasant as it was -25 outside but it did warm up. Beds were comfortable altho not the pillows.
The worst thing was the tub didn't drain properly. Had to stand in water when showering. Bathroom was small considering the room was made for 6 people and had to ask for more towels as they only had enough for 3 or 4 people.
Breakfast was ok but nothing was hot. Had to heat up items in microwave.
Would stay again for a night or two due to great price on priceline.com and because we only had to pay for the 1 room instead of 2.

1. Reserved a kitchen; it was printed on the reservation, none available upon my on-time arrival. According to them it's on me for not calling beforehand to double check. 2. Didn't enforce the no smoking policy in the pool. The signs aren't up for show- enforce it.

Do not go to this hotel. By far the most disgusting place I have ever ever stayed. It was not clean, there way tiny black hairs EVERYWHERE, in the sheets, blankets, sinks and tub. The counters were dirty and there were stains everywhere. The hotel smelled like cigarettes and none of the guests were wearing masks and the hotel staff did NOTHING about it. Also the staff were not welcoming and were pretty short with us. I wish I never would have stayed it was absolutely awful! Go somewhere else and skip this hotel if you can! I wish I could give it 0 stars.

Bathroom was dirty, grime/grease in tub. Walls/door covered in grime, stained dirty shower curtain. AC didn't work, went to open the window, it had no screen so bugs came in and there were semi trucks 50 ft away idling all night. Darwin the night shift front desk attendee was rude and not helpful in cleaning the room. Don't stay here.

Worst Front desk ever! DARWIN PADILLA Very rude and unfriendly service we encountered during our stay. He ruined our stay in Golden. End up staying our 2nd night in different hotels. Way way better service!

When we arrived at this hotel, the front desk clerk told me my credit card number didn’t go through, but instead of giving the room away, he held it for us until I could pay in person, which I appreciated! The room we requested was quiet like we had asked and it was clean. Continental breakfast included. This hotel went above and beyond and at a reasonable price!

Spacious comfortable rooms, friendly staff, pretty well equipped kitchenette in our room. Limited breakfast spread - not sure if this is due to covid restrictions

Stayed during our visit to Golden BC! Horrible experience with unfriendly, rude, staff at this hotel. (DARWIN PADILLA) visited many places/hotels but have not seen so rude and unfriendly staff in any Ramada we stayed before! Rediculous. We spoke to the manager (Kanwar) he said that he received a lots of complaints with Darwin but he can't replace him because the town is too small and he can't find any replacement! Because of less people applying for a job. Well hopefully the owner or Ramada management should look on to this very seriously. Front desk is the blood line of your company they must be a customer service oriented or else they will ruin your reputation/name!

It's a nice place to rest & relax in Golden. Staff is super friendly. For amenities they have Hot tub, Swimming Pool & 2 massage chairs at free of cost. Should go for this place of not looking to spend overly and staying within budget.

This hotel was okay. I think due to the high volume of guests coming through here, their attention to details was lacking a bit. Their was still garbage in our room’s garbage can when we checked in. And also one of the pillows on our bed was missing a pillow case. But other than that it seemed clean enough.

It's OK, but they could afford to do so e upgrades or some repairs to things. Mirror broken, tub drains extremely slow, carpet stained.

The hotel amenities were great. Pool and hot tub were opened till 10pm, hot tub wasn't too hot tho, comfortable temperature to stay in for a long period of time
Gym was also opened till 10 pm, very well equipped and clean, with AC. Definitely one of the more well equipped gym I had been to at a hotel. Complementary breakfast was pretty standard, it does get pretty busy in the breakfast room tho, and food are not served hot, you need to microwave them. There is venting machines around the whole hotel which is convenient! There were Fridge, microwave, coffee maker in the room as well. Shower was great, stays hot the whole time.

My complaint about this hotel tho was the cleanliness of the rooms, carpet was stained, shower curtain was ripped, crumbs left over at the corner of the room, the stairway also smelled really bad. Pillows weren't not comfortable at all, they were very soft, where they compensated by giving you 6 pillows for a queen bed.

Also, while we were in the pool, these cleaning staff started pouring chemicals and spraying water on the pool floor, which splashed everywhere, at my eye level; since my boyfriend and I were inside the pool. The chemicals stung my eyes because I had contacts lens in and it also gave my boyfriend a bad headache. There were also children in the pool, which can be dangerous. They should have closed the pool during cleaning. I did bring this up to the manager, so hopefully they will be more careful next time.

It was very clean and the staff were friendly. We were very satisfied with our suite, six people in three rooms. The price was affordable.

Sadly, I forget the managers name. He and his staff were so accommodating. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and the breakfast…. What a treat! Thanks so much for a completely enjoyable stay. Location is great as well. Take a little extra time to walk or bike some of the beautiful trails in downtown Golden.

Excellent service and exceptional rooms. Coffee in the lobby much appreciated. Friendly staff, good breakfast - it had some 'hot' selections first we've seen since COVID restrictions started over a year ago! Never used the pool or hot tub but they looked clean and decent. Lobby, elevator & halls were clean as well. Spacious parking lot.

We stayed 2 nights here so we could get a day of rafting in while in the area but had only booked 1 night until we got there - asked for the second at check-in and they were happy to accommodate us.

Great location within walking distance of gas station convenience stores and a restaurant offering excellent food across the street.

Snack vending machines in hotel were the highest priced we seen on a 2 wk road trip for sure.

My only complaint is that while they have guest laundry but had no change available to use it. Spent a couple hrs running around town trying to round up enough! Other guests also using laundry complained of the same thing. Other than that, our stay was great and we would not hesitate to recommend or stay here again.

Staff is amazing, rooms are spotless but the water is disgusting. I literally slipped in the shower from whatever the additive is in the water that makes it so slimy and slippery. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't wash off the oily feel. And the taste and smell is indescribable

Linens/bedding at least seemed to be clean. Plus was the Keurig machine with 4 k-cups. Elevator was filthy inside, not even wiped down. Housekeeping staff were dressed in street clothes, didn't even know they worked there, no name tags. Shower and bathroom also didn't seem cleaned up. Bible in drawer had a page ripped out not that that mattered. Only stayed a night, but not very well kept up or clean.

Great for a quick emergency stop. Highway 1 was closed 2am, needed a few hours sleep before heading out again. Perfect for what we needed. Kind night staff, good price, clean, comfortable. Two perfectly sized beds for family of four. We didn't stay long enough to pick apart all the details but it met all of our needs on such short notice. Cash or credit card only.

Yes i will retirn to this place. I had an east side room where I was away from the traffic and I could keep the window open with very little noise. Dated interior however very clean. Good job

The hotel was great, but even better was Darwin, a hotel employee! He has helped us get accommodations on several occasions & we are grateful for his service!

I mistakenly booked my room for the wrong date and arrived a day early. They upgraded me to a double room for the same price! Amazing friendly service:)

Stayed overnight feb 2 2021. Very nice place. Seemed updated to me. Will recommend and probably stay there again on the way home

Very courteous service from the front desk staff to the room attendants! Very clean motel! A little shy on parking spots, but pleased overall!

Clean room. Very comfortable beds. No weird smells. Will stay here again. Will bring my swim trunks next time, pool and hot tub looked inviting

Nothing special about the hotel but the gentleman running the front desk was very friendly and helpful. There is a bar and restaurant a short walk across the road and you get a discount if you're staying at the hotel. There's a pool and hot tub on site for relaxing after a day on the slopes or on the sled. I enjoyed the massage chairs in the lobby as well, great idea for when you get off the road. Quick access off the number one Hwy but outside of town, good price.

Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Mattresses are far too hard, I am guessing for longevity. Had to take painkiller for sore backs and bodies. Sadly, the mattresses affected our stay enjoyment wise as we could not sleep well.

Rude Front Desk. Dirty Bathroom. Stains on some bedding. Wifi keeps cutting out and it’s frustrating! Not a clean place in general. Don’t waste your money. Go somewhere else.

Very unfriendly welcome into the hotel. (Almost robotic like) Room was comfortable enough. Bed was comfy. Bathroom dated but everything works fine. Noticed the strong chemical cleaning smell like others have said. I never usually notice that soft of thing!
Wifi would drop in and out.
But thing that bothered me most was the breakfast and all the disposable single use plastics. All the spreads and butters etc were individually wrapped, styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery and paper cups. I thought we'd be moving away from it already. Especially when there's a dishwasher to clean the glass cups and coffee mugs, and ceramic breakfast bowls that that that provide, What a waste! Check out how other countries/hotels are doing things! Not like this! Get with the times folks!
Man shouted at everyone to not put the utensils in the hot trays. Haha. Just put up a sign. It all felt very unprofessional.

Could definitely use some renovating and a better air conditioning system, otherwise the guy at the lobby desk in his little office singing karaoke while he worked was the best part of my experience

Limited parking - forced to park on street. Dark rooms. Basic cable tv. Very strong chemical odours. Very lackluster breakfast. Ok for a quick night but nothing more.

Absolutely horrible experience, while staying at this Ramada in Golden, BC. To start with, the receptionist gave us a room that was the farthest on the 3rd floor. They were cleaning their mattresses and their floors, so they had all the stuff from each room on the corridor. When we entered, my wife sensed a weird smell. She started getting headaches. When we told the front desk, they didn't pay much attention. Only after the 2nd call, they told us that they had used chemicals to clean, so that could have ticked her headache. In addition, we found fungal infection in the fridge. After that, they kind if hesitatingly changed our room to 2nd floor. The breakfast was awful, with cold items. Never ever going to stay at Ramada in Golden.

I was asking to do something for clogged bathtub and washbasin but nobody show up and WiFi has poor connection.
Even staff was not friendly too.
I'm not recommend this hotel.

I was traveling across county with a friend and due to external circumstances needed to stay at a hotel for the night. We were super thankful that the front desk had one room left and took putty on us and cut us a deal for the night. Huge thank you to the Ramada in Golden and to the staff you made the difference for us!
