Ramen Arashi

I wanted to share that I recently had a fantastic ramen at Ramen Arashi Victoria. I tried Yuzu Shio ramen and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was - in fact, it was easily the best ramen I have ever tasted in my life.

A small restaurant with a big impact. The staff are wonderfully friendly and the food is utterly delicious. I'm not a big ramen buff so I can't get into great detail, but suffice to say the broth was amazing and the noodles had a hint of richness that you could never get with instant ramen. I do wish there was a bit more variety with the toppings and dishes here, but I understand sticking to a smaller menu of quality items that you know how to do well. The pork belly that came with my order practically melted in my mouth! And good heavens I wish I could figure out how to boil my eggs like that.

The restaurant is small, as I'd mentioned, and with the crowds of people that literally line up to get in here, you may wish to order to-go, come as an individual, or make a reservation. I went by myself at opening, and I still only barely managed to get a seat at the bar! It was a bit noisy too, but with such a large clientele and small space, there's nothing anyone can do about that. It's incredibly popular here for good reason. Ordering to-go/delivery could be a good option too, if you'd prefer to avoid the fuss.

The best Ramen in Victoria. High quality in all departments – from starters to dessert.
Very busy, but extremely competent at handling high volume. However, they most easily accommodate couples, four people is a bit of a stretch and more than that you have to be lucky. Plenty of interesting things on the menu, and a diversity of Ramen with vegetarian options.

One of the best ramen places I've ever been in Victoria. Noodles are deliciously bouncy and the spicy broth is excellent. Only wish there was more seating.

Tonkotsu Ramen was absolutely delicious as was the Cha-shu Pork. Service was fast and super good.

Superb ramen, like really really good. The pork bone broth was out of this world. My two young kids absolutely loved it.

The restaurant is really quite small and there was a 30 minute wait to sit but I suspect it has everything to do with how good it was.

The tables were really close together but I certainly won’t slight them for this. Can’t blame popular.

The service was friendly and really efficient. Numerous people assisted us and there were no hiccups. It was impressive.

Hands down the best ramen in Vancouver Island. Fantastic service. Delicious broth. Worth the wait if there is one.

Best ramen me and my celiac boyfriend have ever had. Spicy tonkotsu ramen was perfect spice level for a spice fan that wants to taste all the flavours. Pork belly was the best I've ever tried and melts in your mouth while still having some structure. Gluten free option was just as amazing he couldn't believe it was gluten free! Appys also fresh and delicious and servers went out of their way to make sure everything was safe for him. Would recommend 100x over!

This review is based upon multiple visits during different times and days. The food tastes good, but a lot of the components seem to be bought-in/instant (not made in-house the traditional way). I understand it's a chain. Theres not much toppings, and for two people you'll be paying 50$+ for ramen. It's a little expensive. Other than that, the service in in a confusion/disorganization almost every-time. If you're craving ramen it's worth a visit, just expect to wait a long time.

Ramen is one of my favorite foods and I've been to numerous Japanese ramen restaurants in BC, Taiwan, and Japan.

When I was in Victoria, my hotel was a 30 min walk from Ramen Arashi, but having seen the great reviews of Ramen Arashi, my curiosity got the better of me and I braved the rain and wind to walk there. When I arrived at 5: 30pm on a Thursday night there was a 30 minute wait, but at that point sunken cost fallacy has set in and I decided to wait.

Ramen Arashi was well worth the hour of walking and waiting and I couldn't be happier once I got my meal and took the first few bites. I was practically skipping on my way back to my hotel.

One of the most authentic ramen houses in the greater Victoria area. Be advised that it is always busy with lines but well worth the wait. Delicious ramen, you can tell they focus a lot of energy on the soupbase rich and flavorful the only downside to the ramen bowl is the noodles are average for a ramen house. However the soup base is the most important part and the prices are good compared to other ramen houses in Victoria.
They also have authentic Japanese beverages served the way they would be in Japan with green tea coming in a hot can.

We must be desperate for ramen in this city if this place is popular. Ramen just ok. Service is Friendly. Broth was just warm. Topping was adequate but not generous for 15-17$. Chicken karaage topping was a joke 3.50 for three “pieces” of fried batter with tiny amount of actual chicken.

Amazing place! Staff are so friendly and the food is amazing and at a great price. I recommend you check this place out and support these guys! They even offer vegan options

The interior was nice and comfortable. Despite how busy they were, the staff were attentive and helpful. The menus are always clearly displayed which made it easy to order more.

I had the original tonkotsu ramen, it was delicious and the addition of fried garlic chips were addictive! The broth was so smooth. I could have drank an entire bucket. I definitely will visit again, hopefully to take advantage of their combo. Make sure to get a stamp card. ありがと嵐！大変美味しかったです!

Worth every minute spent here! The food and service never disappoints. I crave their ramen on the regular.

Weekday lunch combo is such a great deal! The pork belly cooked perfectly and also the noodles! Highly recommended!

I tried the gyoza and the black sesame tan tan.
Highly recommend.
Their seating isn't great for larger parties so, I wouldn't suggest dining in if you're more than a party of 3 however, the ramen was so good I got a second bowl to go for my husband and it was just as delicious to take out as it was to dine in.

Delicious ramen, in contention for top in BC. Try the spicy Tonkotsu, with little slivers of caramelized garlic, bright punchy notes of red ginger, and a rich, creamy perfectly-prepared tonkotsu broth base.
