Great campground. It’s big and we had no trouble finding a nice pitch without reservations in late September. Plenty of clean bathrooms and showers. Pitches are well spaced. Many have enough vegetation around to provide some privacy. Plenty of walking trails when the tide is too high to walk out on the beach. When the tide is out, fabulous walking on the tidal flats.
Beautiful campsite, great pitches in the forest. Nice path to the water/beach. Long walks possible. Toilet / shower house in a well-kept appearance and clean. Highly Recommended. Gigantic place for sunrises.
Absolute GEM of a campground. Sites are clean and quite private. Lots of shade for when the heat of the day hits. Great campground for kids to ride bikes around. We felt very safe and relaxed here. Lots of beach access and such a STUNNING west coast beach with an amazing tide each day. The campground is also close to stores, so you could pack less food for a longer stay and shop if needed. Lots to do in the areas as well. Trail along the water is also well maintained and beautiful.
Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce camping privé d’une belle plage à pied. Attention certains emplacements sont trop loin des douches, il faut y aller en voiture. Le personnel est très gentil, nous adorons cet endroit!
I've been visiting this campground (typically in the off-season) for a few years now. The grounds are well-kept and the campsite itself is lovely. This site has always operated on the honour system and if guests arrive late in the evening after the ranger has left the front gate, then guests can pay their nightly fee when they leave the following morning.
During my most recent visit, the park ranger came to my campsite at 8am and banged on my truck window until I woke up. Much to my surprise, there was no issue in the campground and she was demanding immediate payment ($13?) for my one-night stay. It didn't make for a very pleasant awakening and I don't feel this was necessary at all. Please review your processes with the park rangers.
