Cosy bar with a nice patio. Pizzas are great, beer selection is good and whoever is in charge of their music selection is doing a fantastic job. Wonderful music.
This is my favorite local brewery. Great beers, food deals, and atmosphere. We’ve come for Sunday brunch and football, a drag show, and just to hang with friends. Always a good time
I was at R&B last night with my friend, we had a few drinks and a good time, and then on our way out, we stopped at the off-sales section and asked a staff member there if the coconut beer was available in cans. They immediately said “well I wouldn’t sell you anything right now as you’re clearly very intoxicated”, and when I tried to clarify again that I just wanted to know if the coconut beer was available, not necessarily to buy it then and there, they told me it’s not available. I understand responsible alcohol sales but found this interaction extremely presumptive, dismissive and off-putting. Neither of us was overly intoxicated or behaving poorly in any way. It really left a sour taste in my mouth and made me feel very unwelcome and unsafe in a neighbourhood that is home to me.
Love R&B for the atmosphere and awesome beer, have been coming to this place for ages. This is just a warning - THE CITY IS RUTHLESS ON PARKING TICKETS HERE! There is only 1hr parking on the entire block, so don't stay for more than a pizza and a pint! Seems unfortunate for the business.
Beautiful brewery with a yummy selection of both beers and pizza. Always a good time and have always been able to find steering no matter how busy it is
Great vibes and fantastic pizza! Team making the pizzas seemed to really love what they do - and you can taste it! Love the selection of beers on tap too. My favourite cozy spot in the winter and summer patio drinking in the summer
Came by with Hubby for a couple of beers and Pizza, both were very good. The young gal hosting was excellent and working her tail off on a very busy night It has a nice easy vibe, definitely would go back
Came here with friends after a recommendation about the pizza, had a great sour which I’d definitely go back for. When the pizza came out, the bottom was so coated in thick flour that I had to stop eating. Would have complained but we were in a rush and I took the L. It’s unfortunate that it happened because the pizza was really good otherwise. Unfortunately I have to echo a lot of the other reviews about rude staff. It wasn’t a super pleasant experience aside from the sour.
These guys make some tasty pizza. Sadly, I opted for these three little meatballs that didn’t do much for me. Next time I’ll just stick with the pizza and beer.
Lots of seating, comfort food, in house brewed beer, and pizza! Outdoor seating available, growler fills and beer shop. Minors allowed. Order at the bar.
R&B used to my favourite brewery in the city. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I’ll be back. The most disappointing is the removal of the Pizza and Pint combo. The moved it to an 11-3 lunch special. I was excited to come on the holiday Monday to get the special but they don’t offer it on a holiday. This is no where on the website or the digital menu on the tables. It’s misleading and disappointing.
The beer is tasty and the pizza is delicious. I've never had a bad time in this place and find the staff very sociable. The patio is awesome on a nice day.
What a classic experience! This place has atmosphere, interesting decor and amazing service. Our pizza came quickly even though they were busy and short-staffed and it definitely hit the spot. Every single one of the employees treated us well and our server went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional night (thanks Gabbie!). Can’t say enough good things about our visit here and can’t wait to come again!
Energetic atmosphere small space but warm and busy definitely saw fred and george weasley exhaustive beer menu all three wines red white and rose:) pepperoni pizza!
Love love love️ Great vibe and amazing pizzas and fantastic beer! Ordered mushroom blanca and jerk chicken pizzas with some IPAs. They were so delicious!
Love it! Go there with a friend or my daughter, beers are excellent, food is awesome and service is always friendly and engaging. Staff love what they are doing and will always have time for a chat or share a story.
The ceasar salad is missing all the fun part (chicken, eggs, baby tomatoes, parmesan) it's simply grass croutons and the dressing. The menu is explicit about it, but hey, a Caesar salad is not supposed to be vegan. That being said, beer was great and atmosphere is cosy and music on point
Came here on monday for their special $20 pizza and any beer, Half my pizza was burnt from under. Taste mediocre uncle Fatih pizza is better. Service was poor when I asked the server for sauce he told me to get up and get it from the front. They charge $2.36 for sauce. Never coming back.
I lived in Vancouver a whole 3 weeks now and been here 4 times already! I can't say enough good things. Amazing fun staff, phenomenal unique beers, cheap scotch flights, insanely delicious food, I even eat the pizza crust. I never eat the pizza crust XD Cool comfy atmosphere with awesome playlist for the cherry on top. You folks are fan-freaking-tastic, see you again soon.
Pizza was fantastic and beer was great as well! The servers were very nice and knowledgeable. Only downfall was that their was no outside heating with only having the patio open (covid restrictions), though if we would have gone on a nicer night it would have been fine.
Nice layout inside and patio seating outdoors (no heaters tho). Good tap selection of about a dozen brews plus they offer takeaway cans and growlers. The daily donair pizza was awesome- crispy and fresh! About a 1.5 hour limit during busy weekend hours.
Great beer and had a really nice server. Took her recommendation for a beer and loved it! The pizza is delicious, though a little bit overpriced for its size in my opinion.
Save your time and money, go to another brewery. The guys working the front are a bunch of foot draggers who don't know the first thing about service or hospitality. Had a good sample of their beers and I have to say some of them taste the same.
I like this place. They have great beer, their pizza's are delicious, it's got a somewhat quirky vibe, feels like I'm chilling in my grandparent's walk-out basement. Haven't had a bad experience there yet.
Nice location, hidden from the busy street. Ordered flights and IPA’s. Went on Saturday during peak hours (5-9pm) and the wait time was 30-40 min for a seat inside. You can wait in the taster room which is very small, but you can’t order full size drinks in there. We chilled outside in the patio instead of waiting for a seat indoors.
I rarely give 5 stars but this place is top shelf. Great beers, cider n all that, fantastic atmosphere, staff are wonderful and a great mix of people. Proper neighbourhood stuff.
Favourite place in Vancouver, Cozy inside with a great list of beers with actual variety, not just IPA's. Food's great plus their tasting room pours legit sized samples to try.
My favorite brewery in Vancouver, always have a large list of new delicious beers. Atmosphere and staff are great and probably has the best food menu for a brewery with just the pizza.
Around 2 hrs wait to have our group of 10 people to come in (let 2 people get in every 30 minutes!). Needless to say that the party was screwed up. Beer was ok, pizza worth half the price. No way I'll go back there again and give them a dime.
I asked why they don't do reservations, answer: "we don't need. " Glad to see another brewery that attaches more importance to making money than answering their customers' needs.
We came to put our name down on the waitlist yesterday at 3: 30pm, however the hostess was inattentive, blunt, wouldn't even look at me when speaking, and was very curt and rude. We came back after waiting the suggested time, to find it was still another 30-40 minutes wait which is understandable since timing expectations can change on weekends, however the fact she was still so rude and unaccommodating made us feel like it was pointless trying to get in. We came back again at 7pm to find a new hostess who was lovely and did her best to find a spot for us within 45 minutes. We ordered food which was good, however one of the pizzas didn't come, and after 40 minutes of waiting I inquired with the staff who was again curt and unconcerned, and with no apology the pizza came 10 minutes later. The rest of our group had finished all of their meals and considering it was close to an hour late and that we had plans, I only had time to eat one slice of pizza before leaving.
Some very unhelpful staff but if it's a quiet day hopefully you'll have a better experience.
The beer is exemplary, there is always something unique on draft and cask. It's always bustling and the sound system turned up, the staff seem nice. I haven't tried the pizza yet but 100% will. If the sun is shining good luck getting a terrace seat.
Syavash, really personable manager I went in hopes of pizza, ended up buying some beer cans. Good experience. I'll update once I finish the cans. I believe it will be tasty
Fantastic vibes and very attentive service. The meals were fresh and delicious. Will easily recommend this place to anyone. Affordable prices and large portions. Good job.
We went here last night for the 2nd time (also impressive) after mural fest and it's just such a lovely spot. Great food, good vibes and believe it or not it's a great spot for kids. They have games and all the servers (especially Ava) are so welcoming and accommodating. Our kiddo accidentally spilled her dads beer and they brought out a new one. Very above and beyond service. Sad to be leaving this area.this place is a gem.
Food an drink was good, but me and a friend were out on the patio and were told to leave because that area was maxed out. Something like 10 people max. Was told we would be allowed to go back when it got empty. No one ever came speak to us again to offer, while lots of others went out there and were not told to leave. What was that about? Than couldn't talk to my friend because music was too loud. (Why we were outside) It was around 8pm on a Wednesday, it's not a 10pm club night on a weekend. Turn the music down. I'm trying to socialize, not scream at people.
Really good place for a drink with eclectic atmosphere. Right in micro brewery central. Really enjoyed having a beer on the patio and people watching. I had two pints and my wife had 3! She drinks way too much especially for a cheap drunk - lol!
Watched my friends wait for 1 hour and 20 minutes after being told it was a 20 minute wait. 2 empty seats next to me the entire time. Told the hostess multiple times there was space but she just showed me the ‘waiting list’ where people behind them were crossed off? Asked her what the system was and she couldn’t answer. Numerous people who came in after them being seated before them. Won’t be going back.
This place only allow randomly chosen people in. My wife arrived 30 minutes earlier and saved me a sit, and when I arrived, magically the place was out of capacity (while still accepting other people). I guess they didn't like my accent.
The staff and venue itself area great, trouble is there is very little seating and people tend to yell rather than talk to eachother to the point where two people side by side have to scream to hear eachother.q
They have one of the best stout ever! Here I felt like home, they have a lot of styles of beer and the food was great. I asked if they could choose my flights and they give me:
-Van special (good) -Stolen bike (ok) -Lavender saison (I love it) -Tod creek cider (really good)
Excellent service and the staff was very friendly. This is a great place for friends.
The friend who recommended described the atmosphere as being like your mom's basement in the best way possible and she was right. In spite of the crowds this place was comfortable and the atmosphere was great. Beer was good, didn't try the food but it looked yummy
