I would like to warn you all about the business practices of this law firm!
After seeing a review in the Abbotsford News about RDM as one of the best
law firms in Abbotsford!

I reached out for some legal advice! I was informed a 1 hour consultation
ould be $350 plus Tax to speak with a lawyer!
I agreed to set up an appointment but asked the secretary if I could forwar=
d some background info so it would be a productive meeting!
She mentioned that would be fine! So I forwarded my documents and waited
week and half to meet the lawyer! Upon arrival I was taken to a meeting room
om my lawyer had nothing but a note pad I spent the entire hour recapping all
the information I sent a week and a half ago!
He provided no actionable legal advice for the consultation and when I left=
I was mad at the lack of legal advice I was given!
So I reached out the days that followed and asked for clarification on what
we discussed! The lawyer then became annoyed and said he would not provide
any additional information about our meeting! I kept trying to get clarif=
ication on his legal advice. He then responded it not really any
area that the firm works on? If he had opened any of my documents he coul=
d have let me know prior to the meeting!
I continued to press him for advice and he offered me a $100 rebate! I exp=
lained I was not interested in rebate but wanted real legal advice. =20
This went back and fourth for a while until I reached out to a senior partn=
er. She responded to me once and had all the facts wrong! So I corrected th=
e time line of events and expressed my sincere disappointment in their serv=
ice! At that point I asked for a full refund.
Since that day there has been zero response!

Totally unprofessional! =20

So the takeaway here is they will take your money give you zero advice!
If you provide any information it will not be read unless they are on the c=
lock at $350/hr!

I would understand if it were volumes of information but I would think a pr=
ofessional lawyer would review basic information prior to a consultation wi=
th a client!

This is my second transaction with RDM Lawyers especially with Jeevan Hundal. He is a young lawyer with so much compassion, energy, knowledge. We had a situation just recently which was time sensitive but through Jeevan he was able to put us on time with the transaction. He is organized, very reapectful, and very emphatic which you dont find often nowadays with lawyers. He also did not charge exorbitanly with our case. To you Jeevan, my family and i thank you. They are getting the job done. However their communication, all via email, and through a middleman, has been curt, and often incomplete. Comparing them to a similar law form I’ve dealt with, I cannot recommend RDM, based on their lack of respect to me, their client and customer.

Jeevan was Terrific. He explained everything very well and we left with a clear understanding of our meeting. He is VERY personable, understanding & polite. We felt he gave us good guidance. We highly recommend Jeevan.

Jennifer gorner was horrible my ex wife was doing a better job in court than her. A week before our next hearing she raised her rate I fired her. I went to court on my own and did just fine. I would never recommend rdm lawyers

100% RIPPED OFF! Do NOT PAY THEM 300 FOR A CONSULTATION as they will take it, NOT put it towards your case, then will go about charging you for ZERO results. Literally they did a whole lot of NOTHING and charged me $1200 and I am not in any different position than before. Well, I’m broke now, and still have all the same legal issues….
I am a SINGLE MOTHER and was outright TAKEN by this firm. THIS IS A WARNING unless you have money to throw away on a lawyer who will not answer any of your questions, only convince you to do things that will result in them billing you more, yet get you NOWHERE then it’s the perfect law firm for you! Little B namED Malachi is definitely a LIAR AND HAS NO PROBLEM TAKING YOUR MONEY. THEY WILL NOT EVEN SEND ME MY FILE!

I wanted to share my personal experiences with Jeevan Hundal who my father Art Colebourne and I have had the pleasure of dealing with these past few months.

We required the services RDM provided with Probate, Estate selling and transfer, Will, Health Contract and POA. My father lossed his wife, my mother of 50+ years in September last year and as you can imagine this has been a very emotional journey.

From the very first meeting with Jeevan earlier this year, dad and I felt very cared for with his politeness and overall demeanour.
Jeevan took the time to listen to my fathers requests, concerns and treated us as if we were family. As you already know there are many steps, meetings and tasks to accomplish throughout this process and Jeevan was effecient and produced excellent results in a timely manner.

I am a firm believer in written feedback for senior levels of management to achieve higher standards whether it be negative, require coaching and counselling, or in our experience this year, a recognition of outstanding service.

Kam Grewal is a consummate professional that has always provided exceptional service and expertise to both myself and clients with respect to a variety of legal and estate planning matters. I would highly recommend Kam and the RDM team.

I was hesitant to write this review, however, after the awful phone call with the lawyer we used for our real estate transaction I felt inclined to do so. We used RDM lawyers at the referral of our mortgage broker to complete a real estate transaction. He referred us to Kam Grewal. We purchased our property in March 2022, and completion was not until May 2022. Our file was forwarded to Kam in March of 2022, two months prior to the completion & possession date.

We were supposed to take possession of the property on May 28 and move in on that date, with completion being on Friday May 27th. At 1pm on Friday May 27th we were advised that the paperwork was incomplete and the law firm was missing forms from the strata corporation, the day before we were supposed to move into the property. Possession was pushed until Tuesday of that week, leaving us with all the additional costs and stress of reorganizing our jobs and business for a week. Since we had so much time in between the subject removal and possession everything was already organized for our move.

After a lot of back and forth, Kam acted as though he was doing us a favour basically by going back to his the office at 11pm to file the documents without all of the forms to the land title office. This may be after he realized the seller wanted to back out of the deal and we would have lost our deposit & property. Kam advised us that it was the stratas fault for not sending over the form, and took no responsibility for the error, despite having the file for two months. This is unacceptable in my mind as the consequences of this cost me money, time, stress, and the seller of the property wanting to back out of the deal. I felt as though Kam was extremely out of touch with the consequences this had for us, as well as the potential consequences if we did not bridge between to properties. We would have been literally homeless. This didn’t seem to bother Kam, as he simply blamed others and said he would try and get us the $900 back we spent for expedited strata documents. Not sure why the documents had to be expedited in the first place if the firm had our file for two months.

Haven’t heard back from Kam regarding his “free of charge” legal services to help recover this additional cost incurred by RDM. Simply negligent in my mind and I will never be using this firm for any further real estate transactions. Not only due to the error but due to the lack of responsibility and client care we received from these individuals. No fees were waived and no compensation was offered for the inconvenience to us. We won’t be back.

RDM Lawyers, in general, are fantastic; I’ve worked with a few lawyers from this firm and am happy with my decision to pursue justice with them. My review is actually about the up-and-coming talent at the firm though. Meagan Abercrombie is an articling student at RDM and was assigned to help me in a fairly complex ICBC traffic ticket case while the more experienced lawyers handled my ongoing assault case. Meagan’s communication was concise, straightforward and, above all else, timely. She worked tirelessly to explain the process in a way that I could understand and took an incredible amount of stress away. Her research skills are second to none, her communication is impeccable, her drive is very apparent in her work ethic, she’s been nothing but incredible. I will certainly seek her out moving forward with any legal matters. If she is this good as a student, I can only imagine how amazing she will be with a few more years of experience.

Had our wills done within 4 weeks. Were very professional and thorough with explaining everything. Showed lot of compassion when dealing with a tough family situation. Never felt rushed.

My experience with RDM Lawyers was completely positive. Jeevan was the attorney I had retained for my legal identity issue. He was 100% professional during the whole experience.

My case was very rare and caused me great angst. Throughout the whole process he was compassionate and never caused me to feel judged. I was just hung up on the phone by one of Doug Lester's paralegals who is a lawyer at RDM her name is Stephanie she is new and I have been a client for 6years now I was asking questions about my own case and she refused to answer then went on to hang up on me when I called back the secrets and she took a half day all of a sudden and wouldn't call me back till the following Tues mind you this happened on Friday at around 1230pm I don't know how their protocols are on treating clients but remember we are the ones that get you paid I expected a call back from somebody from their but did not get one so I just want to know who is in charge there I'm very upset and want some action taken this is a disgusting way to treat a 6 year long client plus my whole family wher clients of RDM years ago with Ian McCallum who was great and never subject my parents to this treatment

The main thing I look for in lawyer is someone I can trust and with his clam and attentive nature I felt more like I was speaking to a friend then a hired lawyer. I was selling a property to someone who was very difficult to deal with, it was taking a very long time, many months had passed and nothing was getting done.

I was dissapointed with how my Icbc case was handled. They were my lawyers for 3 years and I had no choice but to change lawyers this year. My case is still ongoing how ever I wish them all the best but would not recommend them for ICBC related issues.
