Real Canadian Superstore

Trust me when I say that this is the “best”grocery store you can go to if you want to get scammed for your money. The customer services staff and the manager there are the most incompetent and condescending people I have ever met with absolutely zero ounce of compassion for their customers. They claim that all cosmetics are final sale and yet there are no mentioning of this so-called policy anywhere in their store nor on their website. There are no testers or samples which allows you to try out the products for potential reactions, so if you happen to become severe allergic to any of their products, then you’re in luck because all these people can do for you is to press a few buttons on their precious walkie talkies and regurgitate whatever was passed onto them like a bunch of monkeys. One of the customer service staff even rolled her eyes when I told her that I had a allergic reaction and had to go to the hospital for treatment. And don’t even get me started about the all high and mighty store manager who couldn’t even be bothered to talk to their customers in person when one of their store employees has clearly mislead their customers into thinking that their refund policy is a lenient one. Honestly I would avoid this hell-hole as much as you can, there are better stores around with staff who genuinely care about the well-being of their customers and a manager who’s not just a face on a piece of paper.

Regrettably, my encounter with manager Jen was disheartening. When I asked about an item, she responded with raised voice and vague directions, which left me disappointed. It's concerning that such impatience is in a managerial role at the superstore. I plan to share this feedback with the management for their attention.

I've had a great experience at this Superstore compared to others. The service and selection here are top-notch!

They are missing a lot of price tags. No idea if they have a price checking machine. It's hard to stick to a budget and compare prices.

The staff at this store are so kind and guide you well to your desired products which are priced as value for money with superior quality

Avoid this place as much as possible.
Weekends are zoo like, prefer to go on week days.
I usually go to Save on or Price Mart, less like going to the zoo

While I still shop here and can find good quality products for relatively reasonable prices, the management turned the self-checkout stands into a nightmare: the scales are extremely sensitive and halt the checkout. If it’s not the scales, then typically there’s something else causing errors in these stands. Hiring people to stand at the exit like they can scan what everybody bought and placed in the bags just by looking at a receipt does not seem very sensible either. Huge difference in satisfaction experience: it went down substantially.

This place almost always has no stock but considering the volume of people that come in I can understand its hard to keep up but still if you know there's demand why not keep the shelves stocked? When this place does have stock it's great because they have sales and I can get PC points.
Edit July 2023, I thought the hype about their price increases was hype, but alot of items are expensive. There's still good flyer deals/sales though, just got to do more price shopping.

Good Value, Lots of Parking. Just a bit difficult to find the item you want, website is of no help at all.

Real Canadian Superstore can be considered a local Walmart, albeit the wide range of electronics available at the latter.

There is a fresh selection of produce with lots of options to choose from. The store also contains international isles do you can pretty much find anything you want. The check-out process is relatively simple and quick.

It's a great place for buying your weekly groceries. However, as the business is located inside Metropolis, you will be required to walk with heavy bags to the bus station at the entrance.

There are often great offers ongoing on lots of products, so it's worth the trip; you will be able to always find something useful to purchase.

Shelves were sparc during this trip. Surprised me. Got most of what went into the store for. Open later than most of the grocer's in the area.

Inflation will keep rising. Banks and government implements regulations. Keep away from Amway? Mary Kay. They will recruit people and will make you their lackie.

Some of those people who work there, never dealt with inflation and other costs. The hours and pay you earn here is only enough to pay your rent.

Some Latinos and asians and others are annoyed with some of these people. They think they owned the place

The self checkout was a nightmare with only one staff working to help tho in need, other than that it was ok.

It's expensive then other stores and vegetables are not fresh at all. Walmart is better then this.

This location of superstore is humongous,

I like how convenient the superstore is and
how the mandarin‘s are really fresh and surprisingly sweet,

I have really good memories of this location going here with my grandparents and nowadays just for errands. It can get a bit busy at time but they always have enough staff.

Always filthy, much more recently. It's obvious the owner has unilaterally decided the pandemic is over. Produce are often rotten. Check carefully blueberries and mandarine. Nearly no cashiers, you have to do everything. Stucked with them. I would prefer to avoid. No prices on the shells very often. All in all it stinks.

Update October 21 12: 58 p.m. Nothing has really changed as this new photo shows. Even with no pandemic, this is unacceptable.

Beware of the large value meat packs, they put the fresher meat on the outside and old meat on the inside, ew.

Placed order in the evening and was ready for pickup right on the time told. Quick service paying for and picking up.

Kind of feel like a criminal here. They hide their plastic bags, and you have to wait 5 minutes for them to bring you one

I would shop in a dumpster than shopping here. Especially that fat lady with glasses. You are as ugly as your behavior.

I visit this place regularly. It has all the international food items that we need at our house.

It was a huge line up there but they manage it very well it took me a few minutes for self check out. It was my very first time here since I don't live in Burnaby or any near, but I'm loyal to Super Store, and this store is good too with a perfect location.

It doesn't matter when you go, there is always a line to pay.
Pay attention when shopping as products are never aligned with the price tag and it's easy to get confused and pay more than you expect. Don't really like the promo buy at least 2 to get the sale price.
Overall, good prices if you watch carefully.

This location is way too busy. We only go here when absolutely necessary. We go to other ones but this particular one is seriously crazy!

Its good to come early in the morning fresh and newly put veges and fruits and lot of parking.but after 10 starts to get busy and parking is very hard to find.

They have a great variety of international food and good value home stuff. This location is always packed on weekends. I recommend to come on a weekday.

Bought 3 cans of pringles, when I came home, 1 can had the seal already opened and a quarter of it gone.disgusting.

Great selection, very busy location. If you own a car visit the Grandview location for a much less busy shopping experience.

Good selection however as it is superbusy often things are sold out and there are huge lines. The folks who work in the click and collect are awesome!

I never use self checkout, but after waiting 10 minutes and not moving in line I used one. Noon and 3 check outs open. Every lane had at least 4 people in line with full buggies, I had a basket.

I would give it a minus 5 if I could. Bought hamburger and chicken drumsticks at various times over last couple of years. Rotten smell from chicken and old barnyard smell from beef burger. I don't buy meat from them any more. They're getting rid of meat that should have been thrown out. I know for sure that it's not my handling of the products because I bring Thermos coolers with me, each with a couple of those frozen blue ice packs, just to ensure that the produce never warms up before I get it home and into the fridge.

I really love shopping at RCS. But come on Metrotown RCS. EVERY DAY after people finish school and working and need to grab their groceries, we have to wait at least 20-30 minutes in line to cash out. Just like there's extra lines open up for rush hour traffic why don't you try and accommodate shoppers and open more tills so everyone can get home and make dinner in a reasonable time or be on time picking up their kids/s from daycare. Is that too much to ask? On the other hand, I really like and appreciate the options from around the world the you guys have in store.

This supermarket pretty much has everything you might need. Prices are okay and the location is convenient. It does get insanely busy on weekends though, so plan accordingly.

Spend 1 day in Metro town is not enough.
I like buying food, fruits, home care in real Canadian Supper store.
Every thing here seem more reasonable them others.

Are you serious? Lines from one end of the store to the other with only 3 cashiers, management should be fired

Only draw back, so large, can't beat the air chilled, grain fed chickens! Plump and moist when you cook them, very reasonable prices.

The best superstore.cheap for normal
groceries but i would not recommend it for fruits and vegetables because its costly there.so if you want to but other things like juice bread and all then you should go there.
