Real Canadian Superstore 17th Street

Im upgrading my review to 4 stars. Large, clean store. Great selection of fresh produce. I’m going to say the best prices in town. The natural foods aisle is quite hit and miss but the rest of the store is great. My first experience with grocery pickup was quite bad but I’ve had a good experience since then so I’ll try it again!

I really like the new layout. Majority of staff are helpful and pleasant. Security man is awesome for what he does and the people he has to encounter and deal with The fruits and vegetables are the freshest here in Cranbrook BC. I am missing the Lipton Peach Ice Tea and Lipton Raspberry Ice Deal 12 can boxes.

This place provides a wide range of fresh groceries.
A convenient store big enough to shop all your bulk groceries at affordable prices as compared to other stores, its close to the gas ️ filling station right across town.

There’s a to go food on their shelves, I grabbed myself a samosa pack, a pack of Spring rolls and a pack of sushi. Which were really good but The samosa’s made me fart and it was very uncomfortable.

I love the bakery, there’s always fresh bread on their counter.

There’s enough parkade for everyone, and just in case you wanna use the cart, it’s required to insert a loonie in a slot to have access to the cart. And when you return the cart after shopping, you can remove your coin back.

Packaged beef didn't seem to be fresh, looked grayish and a cream I bought in the pharmacy section turned out to be expired since October 2022 (!) when I looked closer at home. A few products weren't available, e.g. Sugar.

Please clean your washroom and fix the latch on the handicap stall in the men’s washroom. Bathrooms looked like they have not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. Grungy walls and fixtures. This is how disease and sickness is spread. For a big company this is embarrassing. Otherwise the store looked like it should.

Question. Why are all superstores different inside? It's a network.

Very good for all types of food especially for Indians who are looking for Indian grocery.

Everytime I come to this store there are never any shopping carts in the store! You always have to walk back outside and get them from the parking lot. Walmart on the otherside of the parking lot always has carts inside. This is why I shop at walmart for most of my things!

The store is great no problems there. Now the customers on the other hand don't need to stand in the middle of the aisles having a conversation and being rude.

Employee's go out of their way to make sure your shopping experience is the best in town. Thank you.

Overpriced meat sits in the refrigerator all week. I have never had so many spoiled packages of beef before the past year. According to recent news articles, the meat packing industry has been seeing record profit, but not the farmers who raise the cattle. I believe grocery companies are also seeing record profits not entirely explained by the panic buying that occurred initially in the pandemic and of course if inflation was the cause the profits shouldn't be increasing. We have to be responsible consumers as our market enters a monopoly on sustainance. I would encourage everyone to source your meat elsewhere. On the positive side, the staff here are very helpful and friendly and are not to blame for the larger issues.

Inexperienced cashier couldn't figure out how to price match Save-on Foods ad. Couldn't make change from a $20 and had to call in another kid to help him. Seems like they have zero training and even worse customer service.

It is a well run store that has what you need most of time. Better than most grocery stores in town than have the sales they advertised in stock.the fault i have with them is how much their profits are up at a time they say inflation is not their fault.we are not stupid enough to believe rising profits come while claiming you are trying to keep prices down.

Just off main road, easy to get to. Lots of parking. Wash rooms inside. Joe clothes. Lots of room.

Workers Harassing a youth girl changing IN THE change room. Female worker was too scared to knock so had to get a large male worker to come tell the girl she was “taking too long”. After barely 5 minutes. Don’t know how people keep their jobs here

I don’t know why I keep going here. They are frequently out of stock on many things, and now it seems like the only redeeming quality of the store, the price match policy, is pretty much a lie nowadays.

The superstore website says “we’ll match any major competitor’s flyer item if you show us! ” Which it claims applies to major competitors.

Yet when I show them a price from a major competitor, they act as if that store doesn’t exist, and they only match to stores in the same city. Kind of silly when they are a national chain, and no other store I’ve been to has ever cared what store the ad is from.

Tried to buy more than 4 bags of rice when there was a limit of 4. The lady (Teresa) at customer service said I could, as long as I paid seperate bills. I paid the first 4 without a hitch, but when I asked her if I could add 4 more, she kept repeating, "say please, " in a very rude tone. Terrible customer service.

As a diabled person they let me down. The one electric cart was out the other had a failed battery that never gets fixed. The customer service person was pretty grumpy. Then there were no grocery carts in store. Apparently too short staffed.
But that didnt stop them from jacking the price of groceries.

My trip to Superstore Kelowna today was the opposite of Cranbrook. A cart was on the charger, and the service person backed it out for me with a smile. The store was full of smiles. It isnt like it was when my kids were home and we would spend 400.00 on an order. My order was much smaller. But it was everything i had. And i will do it again.

The sushi made there! Wow! I saw the lovely human making the rolls and I'm honestly so impressed. I only go there for the sushi stand.

The store is ok, more options then other stores in town when they have the shelfs stocked, all the staff you interact with are all grumpy and its clear to see that they dont want to be there, and the bathrooms are gross, it felt like a 7/11 bathroom it was gross.

Issues with PC express & Internet being down. Bad weather. It happens. Stephanie was good at communicating issues. Made arrangements:)
