Real Canadian Superstore

Went to buy a pumpkin to carve for Halloween and they didn't have any said they're all gone. What kind of a grocery store doesn't sell pumpkins on Halloween. Very sad for a store and company this size

This is a great place to find Acropolis Organics Extra Virgin Olive Oil and other products.

Great selection, has pretty much every brand. Lots of cleaning supplies, makeup, vitamins and clothes. Easy to find what you need in one stop. Sometimes there's some pretty long lines though so plan accordingly.

Perhaps a bad day to go, on our Thanksgiving weekend as the selection of goods wasn't great. Hopefully not the new state of Canadian groceries.

Store is affordable And comes with variety of options. Arrangements in the frozen section is a bit tricky. The aisles are well labelled. Getting staff help is hard but when you do it’s great help.

We always choose Superstore for our grocery shopping, it’s a good point for all the items including international groceries.

The staff are great and helpful. It is a very big store, with a pharmacy, made daily foods, and bakery, and deli department, even household goods.

What do you expect, it's a big store. Bit if lots of stuff. Can get crowded and they seem to be constantly changing the layout which is annoying

My sister and her family go here every week, I'm visiting from Ontario. There are some stuff in this superstore that are not in the superstore in kitchener where I come from. I love those 4 big breads in one bag, it's a good deal and they're so yummy, you guys need to be making of those, we don't have them where I come from

This supermarket sells almost exclusively imported seafoods that are farm raised in China, India and a bit from Vietnam. Canada has the best quality fresh seafood in the ocean and lakes. My request for an explanation produced only nice words like commitment to deliver cost effective yadi yada. The fact that farm raised seafoods are carcinogenic is not worth a mention to them.

I got a good parking spot and found all the items that I was looking for without any trouble. They did not have a huge selection of the PC herbal teas, but what they had was at a good price!

Called the store to ask about a promotion. Customer Service confirmed the promotion was ongoing and even corrected some details. Immediately drove to the store, go to Customer Service to be told they have no idea about the promotion.

Showed them the promo online, and that we dialed their phone number ten minutes prior.

Told us to call back in the morning, when obviously calls are useless to getting correct info. I asked them to call me instead when they find out, but that’s not something they are willing to do.

Has everything any other superstore has. Phone kiosk, pharmacy, clinic upstairs, Joe fresh apparel, deli, nice new organic section, bakery, toys, holiday section, elf check out and staff check outs, customer service and more

The only good thing about this store is the low prices. The produce isn't great and the meat and fish is sub-par. I usually buy frozen veggies, dairy and dry goods here and get meat and fish elsewhere.

Coquitlam store (on No. 7 hwy) great store, out of 4 stores we've been in had a very clean washroom. Hate Metrotown, filthy washrooms and limited items, now go to this store.

Superstore has good prices you just have to be patient when standing in line to pay for your groceries

I like the international food aisle. There I can find tapioca starch, thick cream, condensed milk, powdered milk, guava candy (goiabada), dulce de leche, dried black beans. Normally those items are not easy to be found.

For variery and option you'll have no problems. However the freshness and quality of specialty items in produce is not great.

Very convenient location. Lots of parking. Produce was fresh and prices were good. Wide aisles and store was clean.

Today I went to Superstore looking for boots for my husband. I asked the sales associate if they have men’s rain boots. She said no we don’t. Men should stay home when it rains? Wth was that? I was livid with that response wow!

It’s okay if they didn’t have the boots but the response what not okay? Who hires people like that.

Great store, much more than a grocery store, excellent produce, meat and seafood plus alot of things you won't find at other big stores.

When you need something specific don't waste time looking at multiple stores, if Superstore doesn't have what you want, you don't need it.

I love shopping here because of the prices and I love using the pickup service (it's a $3 charge, but they bring everything to your car and load it in which is a huge time saver).

Customer service desk representatives have frustrated me in the past with minor things like I had no change to use a cart and instead of having making a cart useable for me or even being able to buy a dollar off them with my debit or visa card, they asked me to buy a $2 "cart token". I'm spending $300 on groceries in your store and you want me to buy a $2 cart token so I can use a cart? ! It was a minor annoyance. Overall, I highly recommend this superstore.

A little bit picked over by end of day, but that's to be expected. Well maintained and clean though, which is appreciated!

Will always be my grocery store. Fresh produce, meat cuts are good and I know where everything is. Great staff and don't bother me because I don't wear a mask.

Cashiers keep on changing, so many new faces, I don't go as often anymore as clearance sales have dwindled and I store specials are few and far between now.

Huge selection but way too busy, carts that lock and lock your car because junkies roam the parking lots checking handles.

I do most of my shopping here and for the most part it’s a great store. I do however feel like some of the staff don’t like their jobs and it reflects in their “customer service”. Specifically, it’s some of the ladies at the “customer service” desk and the older short woman who was working at the self check out cash today (she is ALWAYS rude). It’s very sad the lack of soft skills in some of your staff result in a negative raiting of your store.

Good thing open to 11. Will still be waiting in line. 9pm and the checkout line is wrapped around to the back of the store. Only 2 cashes open day before a stat! Bad staff planning much? !

I like this store, it always has a great selection and is well stocked. The thing I don't like is how you need a dollar to use the shopping carts. I rarely use cash to pay anymore so I rarely have a dollar to use, and because of this I've had to use a different grocery store.

I do almost all of my shopping here, pricing can be a little high at times, but you always quality product and customer service!

Terrible management and customer service. I walked through the store and found tons of expired product and even mold underneath a few things. I also walked past an employee and a manager having a conversation and the manager was putting her employee down pretty bad and the employee seemed very discouraged.

The health unit definitely needs to pay a surprise visit to this store.

Went in today, April 5 at 4: 30 with a list of 8 things, 4 of which they did not have. Asked a young man in the meat dept why no ground chicken? He said the same thing they said in the other aisles, hard to keep stock in the pandemic, shrugged his shoulders and walked away, no sorry from any of them. Left the store and went down the street to Food Basics, they did have everything I needed including ground chicken, they also had the bread I usually purchase, its 1.98 at Food Basics, and is 3.98 at the Superstore. Also want to point out, they do not disinfect the carts after use, they tell you to do it yourself, and approx 15% of the staff were not wearing masks. Extremely disappointed with this store, and mostly with the complete lack of concern for customer service.

Horrible with covid-19 social distancing protocols in the store. No arrows on floor to indicate one way traffic, people not keeping their distance from other people. I noticed many people having conversations with other people not in their social circle.
Hand carts are not disinfected after customers use them.
Most of the products are close to expiration date.

Wouldn't return the cycle I bought, there is no way to know if I like it without riding it and after buying apparently used items cannot be returned as I rode it for 5 minutes on their parking lot.

They almost always have everything I need, however prices are on the expensive side. It is a good 1 stop shopping trip.

Great place to wait in long lines. Especially around 5 on a weekday. Super awkward layout with aisles perpendicular to cashiers didn't help

Love the superstore best place to go for groceries and good deals all the time. This is my go to place for Groceries and house needs.

I just submitted an online order for delivery tonight - the first time I'm trying this service. Epic fail. Half the things were missing and they were late - delivering super late. Being unwell, I could barely stay awake. I'm now awake enough because of the sheer frustration. The mushrooms they sent I thought were initially brown mushroom - but they were mottled old white mushrooms. I have never ordered produce from an online retailer who sends produce that look like they are past the best before date - especially since everything is so much more expensive than the regular prices. Definitely don't recommend ordering your groceries from this place.

Went on a Sunday morning. Well stocked throughout the store. Easy to navigate. Appreciated that they had a lot of “world/ethnic” food items. Excellent produce choices. Their canned vegetables seem to be all over the place though - tomatoes in one area. Beans with soups. And other vegetables in a different place. Was able to get in and out in an hour with a big grocery haul. The checkout lanes were fast and no lines to check out.

I am pleased with the stores supply and constant restock. I am not a huge fan with the customer service table. I have been neglected time after time and will never be treated nicely. I am a pleasant customer and never cause or start anything, however, one time I tried to return a product I have just purchased in front of the customer service table and was told to wait 45 minutes because she was “busy” she then proceeded to walk and joke with another coworker upstairs minutes after.

This store is wonderfully stocked, clean, and has friendly, well-informed staff. Great prices, and product selection. Under normal circumstances, this store would easily be 5/5. Used to be my favourite place for weekly shopping for a household of 4.

Unfortunately, they are not taking covid19 precautions seriously enough.
On my last two visits, multiple shoppers are not wearing masks, and being allowed to wander the store and cash out alongside people trying to keep themselves safe.
Additionally, one cashier isn't wearing a mask while cashing out customers, which will only encourage more customers to go mask-less if they see employees allowed to not follow policy.
If the store was serious about protecting the public's health, and the health of their own employees, these people would be denied entry until they complied with the mask rule.

I do think this is one of the best stores to do your weekly shopping at during normal times, but cannot say they are taking customer health seriously enough during this pandemic with what I've seen during my last two shopping trips.

Its a great location. A lot of parking. Good selection and the pricing is better than Metro. Customer service counter is REALLY well run by good people. Its kept very clean and the lines are usually decent as they tend to have plenty of staff on hand. Areas of improvement. The whole one entrance thing is getting tiresome. When its freezing or raining it's terrible. The cart thing.pay a kid to bring them back! Enough with the token thing already! Nobody else does it and they survive.:) The pre-made salads often turn brown before the due date. THE lottery place is open when they feel like it and no closed sign when closed but the person inside refuses to acknowledge you to let u know they aren't about to open IF they are. Theres too many ppl restocking during peak hrs and they get in the way (not their fault). Cashiers will be finished punching things in and then they'll sit there on their phone or daydreaming until next person comes. They'll literally watch you bagging them without helping. Also, why do I need to guess how many bags I will need before I begin on a $300 purchase? By the time I'm done bagging and run out or have too many its too late. All in all its a good place to go. Just needs some tweeking is all.:) Oh BTW. If u like sushi.they make it fresh there and its exceptionally good!

It is the best place to get groceries in Sudbury! People are so kind, everything is fresh, everything is delicious.

Great, steady but no lineup to enter and still doing their best to keep customers and staff as safe as possible in these times.

Store sometimes looks alittle disorganized and they are constantly moving products around so it makes shelves look empty. Still decent selection though.

They have most of the selection that you'll be looking for as far as food goods. Their butcher is great! Having to always bring a looney for a cart is annoying and why they are getting three stars instead of four here. The staff are typically helpful, and a special mention to their express pick up staff who are always nice and polite. Ample parking is appreciated!

I love shopping here. The store has everything I want or need and it price matches, which makes it easier to use my "flipp" app.

Asked a staff member if he could help me find the nasil pods for the navage, which I bought there. The clerk " Dan" said immediately we don't carry those and waved his hand at me to go away. I continued to look for them, and found them. I went back to Dan the superstore employee and said I thought you don't carry them. "Oh" he said and then asked me where I found them. I told him to find them himself! Then I mentioned it to customer service and her response was "that's not his area". And Dan doesn't know how to ask another employee for help. If I was there Dan would be sent back for training and common courtesy.

Nice open aisles, not the easiest to find things so you wander around a lot. Better than Walmart for sure.
The cashier could not have been more robotic and oblivious though.: (She wouldn't even push the divider bars far enough for people to reach them.

Grandview store is great. Not crowded like Metrotown store.

Good prices for creams compare to same products at Shoppers, at least 30% cheaper.

PC express here is the worst! Should be PC express. But waited for 45 minutes for a 5 items purchase. Totally unacceptable!

Everything I needed, not nearly enough cashiers though, so be prepared to wait in line for quite a while with some really grouchy sweaty customers.

Crowded horrible place that you go to to grub for bargains. Hate that they combined with the Shoppers point system.they're ruining it.

I love going early. The store is so neat and tidy and not busy. The shelves are so beautifully stocked and all lined up.

The place is huge, prices are high on meats, not a good place to shop if you are on a limited budget. The one item I was looking for was a large 2kg tub of margarine could not be found. It took me 3/4 of an hour to try and find it, only to find out they do not carry it. You think they would!

Real Canadian Superstore in Sudbury, ON is played out a little different than the western provinces. But I enjoyed walking around and looking at what they carry for product. I enjoyed it.

Overall not the best prices. I don't like the flow of how products arw organized. Not a great design. Coin operated carts? Seriously? Sales items are usually not in stock, especially in the produce area. The store is huge for no reason as the space is not used effectively.

Pros: It's nice to have such a broad selection, and ever single prepackaged salad that I've bought here has been delicious, so I stock up (don't forget to get a free dressing packet - those are on the side).

Cons: Finding things is a pain, and even when you can find a staffmember, they may not know where a stuff is. I spend waaay too much time walking around the huge layout that seems designed to take up your time. Yet despite being so big, they often don't have basics (or at least don't have them where I can find them), like carpet cleaner or free-range eggs.

Cashier Ryan Campbell was pretending a price checker was a gun. I typically do not like this store. Many of the staff are rude, condescending and unprofessional

Firstly, this is one of the only stores that still requires a loonie to use a cart and does not provide baskets to use, which is really frustrating when you don't have any cash or change on hand.then the shelves are usually missing most items that I am trying to buy, then the cashiers just literally throw your stuff down the bagging track and proceed to stand there and watch you while you bag your groceries while they are doing nothing.glad I only need to go to this store once in a blue moon

They are always ready with fresh quality consistent products and helpfull staff. Clean place. Its no wonder this store is always busy. The fresh salad and Sushi kiosk is first rate. The in store bakery is also very good. PC exclusives are better than national brands in many cases. Awesome all around.

Thank goodness for the self checkouts.

It's alright. They are moving the aisles around so you'll need to walk through more of them to get around. Not really into that. If they make the whole place into full store length narrow aisles I'll probably stop coming here. Right now it's just 3 of them.

The store is almost too big. For the size of the store, the size of and the selection in the produce department is disappointing. I do like finding 30% marked down items to save money. The recent reorganization of the store in Summer 2019 makes most aisles the full depth of the store instead of half, making it harder and longer to navigate around the store. Large piles of bulk product on skids now are featured in some aisles, but frankly they are ugly clutter. There is a large live seafood department, huge housewares area. Skytrain station nearby.

New aisle layout is worse. Aisles are far too long and some are too skinny.

Not enough new variety of products coming in, been exploring other stores for something new.

This superstore used to be my favourite. That is, until a cranky management started eroding my goodwill. There is this super-irritating “deal of the week” with the absolutely disgusting snitch culture enrolling customers to “get the article for free if the cashier forgot to mention it”. There is those annoying PA announcements repeated ad nauseam with such a tart tone you’d think it’s from a burlesque comedy. There are those weird practices imposed on employees (from using brooms the opposite side for which they were designed, to have them standing at the cash the whole day — just tell me how a cashier would be less efficient if provided with a bench?) There is this tolerance for customers who abandon meat or ice cream anywhere on shelves. There is this much too frequent misleading price labeling, especially with items “on sale”.

But then came the proverbial straw, and this is a heavy one. Where there was a middle alley that allowed customers to go directly to the aile containing the stuff they wanted, that passage is now closed so to force those customers through extremely long tunnel of shelves with the obvious intention of squeezing out a few more bucks of their pockets by making them buy products they don’t need.

I hope Real Canadian Superstore will take note: the manager who came up with this idea of shelves arrangement ought to be fired on the spot. In the meantime I’ll do my shopping elsewhere.

Used to be a very good grocery store. But some unskilled manager decide to block the hall, creating a mess for the customer. I did my grocery in that store for more than 3 years, and I am really sad that I will have to find other store to buy my grocery. If the management team want to book a time for me, I'm more than happy to go in person and give better feedback about how much worst is the store environment.

They overcharged me for an item and its shelf spot was within close, immediate view from the till. I told the cashier and she called someone to check on the price. No one was coming so I walked the 10 paces and double checked the price myself. Upon walking back to the till she informed me that the person called back and said that they checked the shelf price and that I was wrong and the price that came up on receipt was correct. Either they were lying or they were dumb enough to not bother checking the price at the item’s primary location.

This store has a chronic problem with mislabeling the prices on shelf items.

I agree with the other comments. I guess the new management will soon learn that frustrated customers will shop somewhere else. Imagine if you cannot find a product because it has been relocated so many times that not even the salesman knows where is kept. Add the fact that moving around is now hard because of the products being stocked on the floor.
One more shady practice is to display product price tags such as they were discounted if bought in multiples when they are not!

Not happy with new layout, extended aisles, very inconvenient and inefficient for shoppers. Where's the logic? They definitely did not have the shopper in mind when they decided to do this. Will do my shopping elsewhere.

A big box store that meets most of our day-to-day household needs. Sizable bakery department and meat department are the draw for me. I also like their deli counter. The staff is usually efficient. The selection is good.

Tried their Express service yesterday, and I don't think I'll do it again. Majority of the dairy and bakery items I bought through the Express service has an expiry date labelled for the next day or two. I also wouldn't trust the staff to pack my groceries in my vehicle, as they just chucked everything in, and put heavy items on top of light items like bread and produce, and basically smushed them.
