My new favourite bike shop. These folks are legit all round great humans, plus they stock some great bike gear that's hard to find elsewhere.

My wife and I e-biked to the North Shore on Sunday and after stopping to get coffee, I noticed I had a flat. Reckless Shipyards was just around the corner, so we stopped in. They were FANTASTIC. Fixed the flat and noticed several problems with the hydraulic bikes that our usual repair shop missed. I mentioned I have an upcoming apptmnt with my usual shop on Thursday and Reckless did NOT try to upsell me, they gave me a detailed description of what to bring up re the brakes with my usual shop. And then discounted the work they did do a bit.

If I lived in this hood, I would be taking our bikes there every time. Kudos especially to Donald, so friendly and helpful and went out of his way to make sure I was looked after. 5 stars.

I had a flat tire on my personal bike and the two gentleman in the Shop helped me pumping it back up quickly!

I bought a GoCycle G4 at Reckless Shipyards three months ago from Tony and am having the best time riding it! As a petite rider looking for their first e-bike, it was important I ended up with something which was the ‘perfect’ fit for me. I didn’t know what I wanted so test rode a few regular e-bikes but had concerns about a mishap and the possibility of having a heavy e-bike landing on top of me. Tony suggested the GoCycle at one point early on but I dismissed it fairly quickly. It wasn’t until I saw a couple there to test ride the GoCycle and saw how impressed with the bike’s performance that I decided to give it a try. My reaction after getting off the bike was…woww!

Like all the other 5* reviewers before me, I can’t say enough good things about Tony and appreciate how passionate, knowledgeable and patient he is. Reckless Shipyards offers a one-year complimentary maintenance on bike purchases so I had it in for its first tune-up…. 1476 kms or 27 rides later. I love the thing so much it sits in my living room like a work of art. Thanks Tony…. You’re the best!

Bought my E-bike two years ago and they treat me like family every time I go into their store for tune ups etc. They are sincere and always want to make sure your bike is working well. Thanks for the email. This bike is great! I have been out a few times for some long rides and really enjoyed it. I have not been this excited about a bike since my last three speed with the banana seat circa 1972. This one rides a little better. Very friendly, relaxed service! Boscoe and the rest of the the team were very helpful getting our same-day ski/board rentals going. Skis and board were both in good condition, and much cheaper than renting at any of the local hills! Will come again!

We went to several shops to educate ourselves on Ebikes and it wasn’t until we met Tony at “Reckless Ebikes and More” located down in the Shipyards, North Vancouver. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patience and helpful. Tony and his staff (Bosco) took the time to help us find the right e-bikes for both of us. When we tried them. What a game changer! We felt like Superman and Superwoman. The love of biking was back!
We are so impressed with their customer service “10 + stars”, we immediately felt comfortable with them and they made us feel like we were part of their cycling family. Our first intention was to buy used, but felt so comfortable with Tony we ended up buying new E-bikes. We had many questions and visited Tony many times, each time we went, he had all the time in the world for us and never rushed us in our decisions.

I collected my 2nd Gazelle T10 ebike, from Reckless Shipyards in North Vancouver just a few days ago.

These guys are great! I'm having problems with my older ebike that I purchased elsewhere. After the initial service they've continued to help troubleshoot problems at no charge and go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Definitely a big thumbs up!

Big kudos to Reckless Shipyards bike repairs. I had borrowed a older road bike from a friend and damaged the crank! They were super efficient, economical and knowledgeable and I was very pleased to be able to return it to my friend in perfect order.

Fantastic. Tony, Bosco, Ryan, and more were so helpful to my family and I! I would recommend giving them your business over other bicycle shops that I’ve been to.

* Text messages and videos showing different styles of bicycles
* Giving me a ride to a hardware store to get straps and a tarp to carry the load back.
During the test ride, I could tell that he really knew and understood how the bike functioned.

My wife and I felt that even if we ended up not purchasing a bicycle, we would have felt the same service.

Unbelievably great experience at this store. Thank you, thank you Tony. You have restored my faith that there are good people in this world. I'm not a "high end" customer, but was treated as if I was the most important customer ever - my problem of losing my electric bike key (my fault) the day I bought the bike, even taken to the bike manufacturer head office to look for a solution. Prices are good here, selection great and follow up on any questions at all is simply amazing.
I love, love my new electric bike - it's given me a new lease on life. Haven't ridden a bike for 20 years and I'm 75.

I purchased a second hand e-bike last year, and I have been extremely happy with the service I have received for the few issues I've had, after taking the bike through very rough terrain.

Already 5 months since bought this crazy gocycle and couldn't be enough reasonable to come back for a feedback! My bad. Because I'm so thrilled going around with it. I'm so happy and no buyer remorse. Spent almost 4 hours on the phone with Tony and now it shows the value. I was prospecting without knowing what and why and Tony passed literally hours with me on the phone to explain and answer all my questions. After that, he sent me pictures and explanaitions for small issues. Finally, a bike is always a bike but the service need to be the most human possible. And for me even over the phone it was 15/5. I called Reckless to find out about the Gazelle e bikes that I had.discovered online. Tony, the owner, immediately responded with all the information for which I had asked. He also offered to show me the two e bikes that interested me and to go for a test ride together. I showed up and Tony dropped everything and set us up with two bikes that were options for me. We took a great ride together, switching bikes after about 20 minutes so that I could compare the rides on the two. I asked all my questions, thanked Tony and went home. It wasn't long before I had made up my mind to buy one of the bikes that I had ridden with Tony. So I emailed him to reserve the bike for me. I picked up the bike the next day and rode it home by the scenic route from North Vancouver to the Lions Gate, over the Lions Gate bridge, through downtown Vancouver and back to New Westminster. It was a great ride! I found my ultimate e bike. Tony has since followed up with lots of support. All in all, it has been a great experience. I have found an e bike that has everything that I wanted, for a price that I could afford and with great support from a person I find very likeable and easy to deal with. Thanks Tony!

I am all for green transportation and I was looking for options for my daily commute that are eco-friendly and cost-effective. Tony and his team provide top-level assistance. I came from Victoria to Tony's place because he seemed to care over the phone when I talked to him. I couldn't say that about the dealer in Victoria, just saying! This just wasn't a sale, he made sure we were picking the right bike for us. He didn't rush us and answered all of our questions. I wish other retailers would take a few notes from Tony on how to treat customers and make sales.

Recently purchased my first eBike from Reckless Shipyards. My experience could not have been any better. Tony and Paul are very helpful and provide exemplary customer service.

I rented Performance Ski with Reckless Shipyards, and Bosco went above and beyond to accommodate my rental experience.
The Performance Ski was for a friend traveling from overseas to Ski on Whistler next morning. Due to a delay in his flight, he was unable to pick-up the rental equipment within their business hours. I was also traveling in the US, and was unable to pick-up the rental.

I contacted Bosco on the day of pick-up, and he went above and beyond to figure a mutual solution for the pick-up. At the end of the day, my friend and I was able to drive to Whistler next morning at 5 am to ski a full day.

To be honest, this is the best experience I've had in a long time, and the level of customer service was high.

I will rent from this place again.

My experience with sales representative Tony Sun was excellent. Tony showed a level of generosity, patience and professionalism combined with a personal touch that I have rarely experienced as a consumer before.

We were trying to rent snowboards for the next day and a bunch of other rental stores had already sold out. I called Tony in a panic and he was so so accommodating and was able to get all three of us perfect snowboards! He had a great attitude and was super helpful and nice. I really enjoyed doing business with him. His prices are very fair and his equipment is great quality!

Having young impatient kids around waiting in line for 45mins to an hour for equipment rentals at cypress was no joke! A friend recommended reckless for my snowboards equipment rental and I can't be more happy. Called in to make reservation to picking up the process was a breeze! Equipment's are much nicer and newer then at the mountains, better rental rate, and most importantly no line up! I was there fitting all 3 kids in and out in 15 minutes! I highly recommend reckless for their attentive & efficient service!

Paul was extremely helpful and friendly down at reckless Shipyards. The tire upgrade I got recommended for commuting in the snow and rain were amazing when first tested out on my e bike. They handle so much better and I feel so much safer. He ordered in the tires I needed and installed them right when they arrived. 5 stars will go again.

Rented ski sets for my son and me, excellent service and quality products, right above public parking, zero complaint from my son, rent here and save yourself from the long line up on the mountain.

After our plans to rent e-bikes in downtown Vancouver got thwarted by rain, our next stop on our itinerary was North Vancouver. As it was still raining we decided to walk around Lonsdale. We talked to a person at Obsession Bikes, who refered us to Obsession E-bikes. After a very informative discussion about e-bikes, we mentioned looking for rentals. "Go see the guys at Reckless in the Shipyards" he said.
We did.
We couldn't be happier we did.
We got two bikes for two days, for a very reasonable price.
Our bikes were made by Gazelle. We rode up and down North Vancouver, up to Lynn Canyon one day and Port Atkinson lighthouse the next.
Bikes did not disappoint. Bosco at Reckless bikes was awesome. Kind, accommodating, he made the entire transaction smooth and easy.
If you are looking for e-bikes in North Vancouver this is the spot to go!

I've taken my bike in for servicing twice, and I'll never take it anywhere else. Paul is a great mechanic, and he always explains the work he's going to do before he does it.

Had a great afternoon with friends on these bikes. Easy to book online. We arrived and they created us by name. Helped get us set up as some of us were new to using EBikes. Super friendly. We rode the Spirit Trail to Ambleside Park. Easy to follow. We got back a few minutes past our time and it was no big deal. Definitely renting from them again.

Thank you for taking so much time with me, escorting me on a test ride, explaining the bike's features and answering my many questions (sometimes more than once). Paul and Bosco also deserve mention for filling in when you were busy. You three guys are the perfect trifecta of a good business model.

I purchased by Gazelle Easy Flow e-bike from Reckless in October 2020. Tony, Paul and Bosco have all provided over the top service in the past year. I use my bike to commute daily to work and have logged over 5000 km so it has needed regular servicing. They are very responsive, always friendly and ensure that my bike is safe and the best shape. I live in the area and they always wave and say hi when I ride by and they create a feeling of community for their customers. I would highly recommend!

Quality bikes, exceptional service, reasonable pricing. These guys run a tight ship with quality equipment. Don't waste your time downtown renting garbage bikes, this is a better spot to spend your cash.

If you want to buy an ebike, shop here first! I received the best customer service that I have received anywhere, ever at Reckless Shipyards. I first visited to take a look at their selection, and Tony gave me an in-depth rundown of the four bikes I was considering. I returned a second time with my partner for a test ride. Tony joined us and I was able to try out my top three picks over a great variety of terrain without feeling rushed. When I returned to purchase the ebike I chose, Tony made sure everything was *just right* with the bike and gave me a detailed rundown of how to operate it. I walked away feeling competent and confident in my purchase. I can't say enough great things about the service and the team at Reckless Shipyards! Oh, and my new e-bike is amazing and a pure delight to ride. 10/10, highly recommend!

What a Great experience at a good price. Walk over a block from the Quay entrance and save $. We rented twice on the long weekend.
Tony and Bosco were fantastic. Set us up for our 1st e-bike experience. They Helped us out with some local sightseeing discounts. I would recommend reservations as we didn’t reserve for the second rental. Tony made a few follow up calls to customers and accommodated us for the afternoon.
Although we never purchased a bike I observed how the tech and Tony treated their retail customers 1st rate. Tony encouraged me to call him if I had any questions on purchasing even if it was to be made in my own city.
