Red Shiso Sushi

Sushi is fine but don't order anything else (not tasty but pricey). Also small portion.

Red Shiso is now our go to Japanese restaurant. I can never finish the food cause they give a good amount of portion. The staff are really friendly and the service is really good. Red shiso combo is my favorite dish.

My wive, friend and I really enjoy our experience at Red Shiso Sushi.
Since the very beginning at the door; their stuff recieved us and ensure that we were serve approprietly from the beginning til the end. We highly recommend this place to anyone who want customer service, price are very cheap and generous portion.

Loved it! Food is delicious! You get what you pay and more. Service is always great, even if you buy though delivery apps. When visiting in person the place is clean and the plates look always great. I definitely recommend this restaurant. They also have a huge table with courtins so you can have a special group meeting.

Always tasty and generous portions for a fair price. Friendly staff. Nothing negative to say except they forgot my side of rice with my meal this time. Nobody's perfect but these guys come close.

I NEVER leave reviews from restaurants. This time, I have to, great food, great service! The fish and chips are a Japanese take on the American classic - they nailed it. Thank you, Red Shiso, I saved the location, and we're definitely coming back:)

I visited this restaurant just now, to introduce myself. The person at the counter literally told me to get out. He told me in English that he doesn’t speak English. When I asked for the manager, he said - he is the owner. Boy! Not friendly at all and very rude.

One of the best sushi I had in my life. The service is amazing too. If you like sushi, try this place for sure!

My go to sushi restaurant in Fraser Heights! Their Red Shiso combo (dynamite roll and fried chicken) and their happy hour specials are good. Try their Oishi sushi, you won’t be disappointed! Friendly staff and food is good.

I ordered Nigiri combo and there was 2 pieces of mackerel. After I put into my mouth oh my god! I spited out right away. Not fresh. They choose the assorted Nigiri for the combo so be careful. California roll not recommend too.

Refused to let us in, said they were closed, it wasn't even 830, they close at 9.their doors and website say 9, there were others in there but still wouldn't serve us

Their special rolls are soooo good and the service is pretty great as well, they always refill your teas and food are served fast. I highly recommend this place. Pretty clean and chill inside too!

Daughter and I went for dinner there tonight (or what we thought). We got seated and 15 mins went past no menus given, no water given. We were forgotten about. My daughter sat up in the booth and made eye contact with one of the servers but still know one came to our table after that. So we up and left. Won't go back! Poor service

But.spicy salmon roll tast very bad and inside salmon dark brown not fresh!
Service very very not good!

Food and service used to be okay before. Ordered take out today and the lady just couldn’t understand what I was saying. I don’t mind repeating but when you are the one who doesn’t know how to speak English well. You shouldn’t be giving an attitude. Food was too greasy.

If you’re looking for a different Japanese style sushi place around Surrey specifically Guildford area, you must try this place. My friends and I dine here and we all got different food orders and we’ve tried each and every piece of it and all of them tastes really good. The place is small but organized according to Covid-19 protocol and clean.

Absolutely loved the sushi and stir udon, taste and quality were great and server was polite on requests we made:) recommend visiting it

Do not order ramen from this place. I had the 'chashu miso ramen' ordered from Uber eats and it was downright indifferent from cheap Shin ramen packet instant noodles. Basically tasted like instant noodles boiled with veggies and soggy chashu pork. No miso or pork broth, just the noodle packet flavouring mixed with water. Definitely was not worth 15 dollars, considering there are far better and legitimate ramen places for the same price.

Just ordered a chicken roll. It was either well well over cooked, OR, it was left over from yesterday and they just re heated it. By the looks of the chicken, it looks like it’s been reheated. Either way, unacceptable.

Guess I’ll never come back here again, this is how you treat your customers? The people who put food on your table and pay your bills. This is not how you get repeat business.

The chicken is dry and stringy. Fresh chicken does not look like this. Thanks.

Hate to leave a bad review on a place that is probably already struggling, but this is not good business.

Ramen was more reminiscent of instant noodles. It didn't even have broth. Tbh, I wouldn't spend money on their Ramen. You might as well just get the Udon. From a taste perspective, there is basically no difference. The soup tasted like water. I get that the industry struggled during covid but honestly, it was not worth $15 at all. If you've ever had good ramen downtown, you'd know what I meant.

Great place. Love their spicy BBQ chicken. Enjoy their rolls as well. Have had nothing but great food and great service. Love the shapes they cut in some dishes. Carrot flowers. Feel bad for eating it, it's art.

My first time going there and ordered a few rolls. The service was great! I brought in a stroller since my daughters 9 months and they were so accommodating.

Had the chicken Katsu and it was fantastic. Large portion and made fresh. Will come back door sure

The best sushi restaurant in Fraser Heights. We really enjoyed fresh sushi with my co-workers today.and dining area is big enough to have large groups.

Good quality sushi and udon soup, but sad to see so many menu items removed (such as yakitori, beef aburi oshi, and aburi salmon don) and portions being cut. Chirashi don now has both sockeye and atlantic salmon but is otherwise lacking variety compared to when it first opened (2 thin slices vs 3 long slices before, and they used to offer hamachi and squid). I get that getting good quality fish may be difficult even just before COVID, but when another sushi in Guildford offers huge chunks for the same price, it keeps me hanging from getting this one.

"Creamy Pasta" is just udon, it was decent with mentaiko but shouldn't be called "pasta". The "real crab" one was not worth it, with only tiny, lean pieces of crab meat.

Beef bento box, not bad beef, good sauce, rice was mediocre, the dynamite roll was not good, little flavor and bad after taste.

Really pricy for a sushi restaurant.got a salmon roll for 6 bucks and it turned out to be just plain maki salmon roll that you can just get for around 2-3$ elsewhere, just 7 small pieces, and it didn't look that fresh.was served really fast however, and staff seemed nice.

Service was extremely slow and prices were way higher than any other sushi restaurant also my water had brown stuff in it

Ordered a tuna salmon combo and a 2 special rolls which were very surprising in portions as they were tiny! The fish was good but again the maki style portions were very very small. No soy sauce was given in takeout bag. Prices have also been raised again.

This was our go-to place for sushi for years. Not any more. Their take-out customers are clearly the priority - took ages to get a menu and get our food since they were preparing take-out orders, and we finally had to barge into the take-out lineup to get our bill and pay for our meals. They just raised the prices again and removed one of our favourite dishes, so I ordered the dinner box, and rather than including tempura they now give meatless potato croquettes (?) and egg rolls, both of which are greasy and tasteless. They've lost us as customers, and we'll be telling others not to go back. I'd give a zero star rating if I could.

I brought two friends for dine-in dinner on July 9. All three of us did not enjoy the food at all, because it was way too sweet. We had ordered different items - the Pork Katsu Don, Hawaiian Poke and the Chashu Don. We were really surprised that all 3 items were so sweet, especially since diabetes is one of the highest health concerns nowadays. My Chashu Don was soaking in sauce, and at the bottom of the bowl, there was about 2 tablespoons of sauce sitting there - which explains why it was too sweet, and it made the rice soggy too!
I hope they will revise their menu with their customers' health in mind.

Food is so so and price is expensive. Service is horrible, don't go here, the waiter actually asks for ur tips. Personally, I think doma sushi is better overall, and i would never go here again.

Visited this spot on a Wednesday night (not busy, maybe 2 other tables), service was a very slow process, our waitress did not understand what we were ordering off of their menu. Waters came after our order was taken. I ordered a tuna salmon combo but the salmon smelled so fishy couldn't stomach it. Tuna was just ok. Except my 2 other friends got their food maybe 10 whole minutes after mine. Everyone at the table received and finished their meals at different times. I would be eating and my friends would have to just sit and wait for their meal to come.
Much better food and service from other spots in the area.

Food is decent however, the service is extremely terrible. They brought out everything one by one and there was three of us eating. By the time all the food came out it was 45 minutes which kind of ruined the dining experience.

Just ordered for the first time from skip the dishes. California rolls were so fishy we had to throw them out. Won't be ordering from there again

Don't go here! The food is so-so, and the service was absolutely uncomfortable and disappointing. They didn't understand me that well when I was trying to order, and when I asked for something they couldn't answer back. When I first arrived at the restaurant, they simply just lazily pointed at some table for me to sit at, so I didn't know where to sit. The service was rude and not professional. I think maybe the staff and the owner changed.

Loved it! I have been there 3 times in one months.alone, with my inlaws.with my husband. Food is delicious! You get what you pay and more. I will post a pic soon. Another of my favourite to-go Japanese restaurant in Fraser Heights! They have amazing lunch/dinner bentos large enough to be shared between 2. As well, speciality sushi rolls with house signature sauces are delicious too especially their fresh sashimi and neat appetizers

the crispy karaage and the deep fried agedashi tofu are definitely a must try for appetizers! The chicken is juicy on the side while crisp on the outside.a great restaurant to come with family for some delicious Korean-japanese cuisines. The staff are super friendly too

Best sushi in lower mainland. A bit pricey but the portions are generous. Salmon sushi is to die for. Friendly and efficient staff.

Sometime they will hold your order and charge you for it.
If you are in a pinch, food is ok. But their attitude of business is not a thing.

One of the best places for sushi in Surrey! Their seared sushi is a must try! The restaurant is clean and quite roomy. Staffs are always nice and friendly.
