Red Star Seafood Restaurant

Food was alright. Halibut clay pot while flavorful, had small bits of fish with lot of bones and lot much meat. Seafood fried rice had a few tiny shrimps. I wouldn't call it seafood fried rice, kind of deceptive. It was also very bland. The Chinese broccoli wasn't flesh. It was pretty tough to chew. Service staff were friendly and responsive. Overall I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

I have been to this restaurant a few times, and I must say, the greeter/receptionist was quite rude and impatient, which initially set a negative tone. Her demeanor significantly impacted our impression of the restaurant. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure a more welcoming atmosphere. However, the servers and managers were fantastic, turning the overall experience around. The food was delicious, but the front-of-house service needs improvement.

The service is always very good and the food never dissapoints. The atmosphere is elegant. My favourite Chinese in Richmond.

Service was impeccable by a Cantonese speaking male wait staff. Food was delicious, dessert soup (green bean soup no photo) was a little too sweet.

Price is much reasonable than the restaurant with same name on Granville street and 62nd Ave in Vancouver. Highly recommend

Authentic, if not spectacular. Service is professional and typical of a moderately upscale place.

If you make a reservation, better reserve your fav dishes as well as they tend to run out quickly.

Came here for the dimsum during weekday, didnt know there would be so many people as well

If you like seafood and do not mind paying a little more money, this is the place to go. The staff are very polite and the atmosphere is comfortable.

The service attitude in the lobby is extremely bad! He ignored me and left before finishing his words. I will never go there again. This is not your restaurant!

Got my delivery 25$, 2 small wonton soup (3piece each.) which doesn’t taste like other wonton I taste at other place it’s like crunchy. I don’t know but it doesn’t look like pork and doesn’t say nothing more on the app what it is, just because it got "9stars" on skip I decided to order there. Ask for soya sauce on the side for my steamed rice but did get any… Who eat just white rice like that with nothing? I’m in hotel which why I order and don’t have access to anything to put flavour in my rice. Soya sauce make a big difference for me! They probably don’t read the note I guess.

Good food, good service, ample parking in this snowy season with covered parking lot, what you want more?

Came in at around 2: 45pm on a Saturday. We waited at the front waiting for a staff to help us. When a lady came she looks like a manager, I asked her for a table for 3 and she just told me “sorry we’re close” she turned around and left. I thought that was just a bit rude but I was like okay. It’s weird that on the website it says they open at 10am and closes at 9pm. So please if any staff can read this fix up your schedule on the website thanks.

Has a great BBQ Duck rice noodle. Service is avg for Chinese Restaurant so don't expect too much. Food is good and worth a try. Not too heavy on the salt or MSG which is healthier than most Chinese Food.

Great service, great atmosphere. And the food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend pretty much everything on the menu. Try a bunch of things. It's dim sum! Do it! Get some dim sum!

With so many Chinese restaurants in Richmond sometimes we forget those that have been around for a long time. I'm so glad I've rediscovered this one! Unpretentious good food and friendly service what more could one ask for?

Reasonable prices for fairly good food. Portions can definitely increase in size. Service- depends on who you get. Make sure you hit the early dim sum discount hours. Parking is great
