I'm a huge beef noodle soup fan. Was very excited to find this restaurant with many good reviews. However, it turned out to be a disappointment. I ordered beef and tendon noodle soup (半筋半肉麵) which generally is expected to be more tender than regular beef noodle soup. Well, it was not the case here. The tendon was actually chewy! The beef was also not as tender as the other beef noodle soup restaurant I had tried recently. Needless to say, it was quite a letdown. But I did like the soup, veggie, and noodle.

The service was also a bit lacking. I was not offered tea nor water the first thing after seated. A glass of water finally came AFTER my order of noodle soup was served. I also ordered gyoza. (BTW, it says potsticker [鍋貼] on the menu, but potsticker should have openings on both ends. Without the openings, it should be called gyoza [煎餃].) But it didn't come with any dipping sauce. There were no soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili sauce on the table like standard Taiwanese beef noodle restaurants. And the waiter didn't even ask if I wanted any sauce.

We were actually just hungry.
But we ate excellent food here and it wasn't even expensive.
The beef in the soup: a poem.
The fried eggs were unexpectedly tasty (actually ordered more out of curiosity)
The wrap is simply delicious.
We recommend!

Good food, great place to go on a rainy day in Vancouver! I'm giving 4 stars solely because of the location.

Great Taiwanese beef noodle soup! Also has lots of the side dishes! Recommend the signature beef noodle soup + fried squid + popcorn chicken! Staff is very welcoming!

My recent dining experience at RedBeef Noodle Kitchen in Chinatown was nothing short of exceptional. Conveniently located on Main Street, the restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere that complements its culinary offerings.

The menu is a showcase of authentic options, and we decided to indulge in a variety of dishes. We ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, Xiao Long Bao, Beef Wraps, and Popcorn Chicken. Each dish was exceptional in its own right. The beef in the noodle soup was braised to perfection, melting in my mouth with each bite. The Xiao Long Bao and Beef Wraps were equally impressive, offering a harmonious blend of flavours and textures. The Popcorn Chicken was crispy and well-seasoned, making it a delightful addition to our meal.

What truly stood out were the beverages. The Milk Teas were thick and required vigorous shaking, but the end result was probably the best milk tea I've ever had. It was a perfect balance of strength and sweetness!

Another highlight was the in-house spicy sauce. It was so good that we ordered it on the side and even took some home in a takeout container. The sauce had a depth of flavour that is hard to come by, making it one of the best I've ever had.

Though we did have to try to catch the waiter's attention several times, it was still clear that RedBeef Noodle Kitchen places a high value on customer satisfaction, from the quality of their ingredients to the presentation of their dishes and the ambiance of their dining space.

In summary, RedBeef Noodle offers a dining experience that goes beyond mere sustenance. It's a celebration of culinary craftsmanship, where each dish is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. Whether you're a fan of beef noodle soup or looking to explore new flavours, this restaurant should be at the top of your list.

Food is good. Service is good. The first time eating here (I got take out) there was a hair in my moms food. I went back and they gave us a new dish, only to find out there were 2 hairs in the sour cabbage (the dish they compensated us with). Wont go back BUT if u do get food from here, the taste won’t disappoint u.

Clean and nice atmosphere place with friendly and polite waitresses. Happy to revisit with my family.

This place has a great lunch combo menu, on select days, where you get a main (rice or noodle dish), Taiwanese chicken nuggets, and a drink, for around $20.

They’re in the heart of Chinatown, but they take credit card, which is nice.

The food is pretty good, has decent value if you order the combo, and they turn tables over quickly.

Only issues we experienced during our dining was that the air conditioner started leaking and dripping on us - hopefully they have fixed it since.

One of my happy places near dowtown. Staff is always kind and very attentive. Wonton soup is amazing and the shrimp spring rolls were deliciously incredible. I am sure that everything in the menu is amazing

Food was great. Ordered their special and their spicy beef. The spicy beef soup is mala base, was extremely hot even for asians. Just be warned that it is really hot.

Not many tables around but luckily staff assisted to shift us from the counter to the main tables.

Don't sit at the counter with the windows. Gets a little warm during summer.

Foods are fresh good seating, spacious. Fast when you order. I mostly get lunch takeout atimes I dine in. Good Asian food choices.

Got the spicy beef noodle - luckily they separated the spicy sauce to give on the side because it was really spicy, but not a nice flavorful kind of spicy - just straight hotness. The cold tofu with shredded pork fluff and century egg was a killer dish. The nuirofan (minced pork rice) was huge.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant.

It's in a sketchy part of town so it's a bit nerve-wracking to go there. I wouldn't recommend going alone late at night.

Their signature beef noodle soup was an overall disappointing experience because the beef tasted off. The broth was delicious though. The dry noodles with scallion was pretty bland. The popcorn chicken was also poor quality - it was too greasy and not that crispy. The flavour was right at least. Milk tea was also only average, not too sweet.

Not quite what it used to be, the braised beef noodle soup seemed too heavy with soy sauce/tomato while the one with clear soup was rather bland and the daikon radish was not properly skinned.

My mother has been feeling unwell as of late, and I dropped into RedBeef to see if there was any food that would agree with her stomach. I got the Signature Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup, and it was the only thing that she's been able to keep down and enjoy all week! Even though I'm usually not one for seafood, the wontons had a nice mellow flavour and texture. The broth and noodles being packed separately was a nice touch too.

Very good soups which come in gigantic portions.
Pretty good meat and the quality of the broth is well above average.
They have a nice selection for all tastes as well as take out.
The food also comes with little extras on the side.
The atmosphere is lacking with barely anything more than the basics.

Their signature beef noodle soup is poured in front of you at the table. The meat was very tender and the soup was flavorful. Not much for atmosphere, but a nice casual restaurant. The servers were friendly.

They also have lunch specials that include a drink which seemed like a good deal.

It’s a scary part of town up the street but when you get here, it all fades away. Soft easy music plays, nice cool breeze from the aircon. We got their special traditional beef noodle soup (spice on the side) and soup dumplings. Everything was spectacular! The soup was flavorful and rich without the spice and delicious with the spice. The dumplings are some of the best I’ve had but they stick and tear easily so have your spoon ready! I really wanted dessert but was too full at the end. Highly recommend!

If I were just rating the food, I’d give it 3 stars. It’s comparable to many other noodle soup and Taiwanese food places, nothing stellar. But I gave one star less because of a weird experience regarding their drinks. Around March this year I had a weekend lunch there and wanted to try one of their milk tea drinks. I asked the waitress if I can get real milk in the drink. She said they used milk powder and asked if that was ok. I said as long as it’s not coffee mate (which is commonly used) then it’s fine. She assured me it wasn’t coffee mate, that they use milk powder. I ordered a drink and liked it. I went back the following weekend and noticed a large plastic jug of white powder sitting on a high shelf in the kitchen area. It’s a small open kitchen so I could see everything from our table. Out of curiosity, I pointed to the white powder and asked a different waitress what that was. She said very matter of factly, oh that’s coffee mate. It’s used in the milk teas. Now, despite liking the drink I got, I purposely avoid coffee mate because of health concerns. I can give the place the benefit of the doubt and think of various reasons why two waitresses gave me different answers a week apart from each other. But ultimately, it’s not uncommon for Asian places to lie about ingredients every now and then. I’ve caught another place with the coffee mate lie before. So because there are many good beef noodle houses elsewhere and milk tea places that use real milk elsewhere for the same prices, I have not gone back. The thing is, if I felt they had been honest with me from the start, I would’ve continued eating there and just not buy drinks. Unfortunately I don’t trust this place at all now.

3.5 stars for the food; the two dishes I had ordered didn't quite hit the spot, but were adequate overall
