Refinery House

I've seen multiple stylists and have never had a bad experience at the Refinery House vedder, the atmosphere is laid-back and comfortable and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

Took my mother in law there for a haircut and it was amazing. Decided to bring my toodler for a haircut as well. He he was quiet, calm and didn’t move. When I arrived home his dad noticed that his left side was longer than the right side and I regret to not have noticed that when I was there. Overall I didn’t like. I would definitely recommend for adult haircuts but not for toddlers.

It should be a crime to give the haircut I received (and keep in mind the reference photos were of myself and of a haircut I’ve done on Myself multiple times: ()

Melissa is the best. Getting my hair cut by her is always such a highlight and she gives the best product recommendations for my hair. I won't see anyone else

I haven't been this happy with a haircut in a long, long time!
Melissa (level 1) is the best. She listened to what I wanted, suggested a couple of things I hadn't thought about, cut it dry, washed it and gave me a blow dry style with a cool brush twist technique I'd never seen before. I looked great. But the real test is when you do your own hair.
Today, when I washed my hair and let it air dry.dare I say it. I look fabulous

Have been to a few of the different stylists here and they all do fantastic jobs on standard services. The only time I wasn't 100% happy was when I asked for peekaboo colouring. However they graciously received the feedback and was able to fit me in the next day to touch up the cut. Would suggest their free consultation before anything out of the ordinary, but other than that their stylists are fantastic!

I felt the need to add on to my review! As Rachel is on maternity Leave, I had the pleasure of meeting Cassidy last night. What a genuine sweet soul! She loves to step outside the box a little and do something a little different than straight cutting, which is what I like as well. It is great to have so many stylists at the Refinery that like to experient and really listen! True pleasure meeting her!

What a gem of a hair salon! I met Meghan who did my cut, what a sweetie! She listened and my cut is fresh and just great! Looking forward to continuing to come back again and again! I wanted to mention that Allison at the front is a sweetie as well. She welcomed me to the house and was warm and welcoming!

I have been searching for a stylist who has curly hair like I do for a long while now and am so glad I found Abigail! I’ve been too nervous and self-conscious to embrace my natural curls and finally decided it was time. Abigail was so thorough in walking me through techniques and products to help with my curly hair and she is also just a super kind person. I’m excited to go on my curly hair journey with Abigail’s guidance!

Abigail also did my daughter’s first hair cut at 2 years old and she absolutely loved the experience. So kind, gentle, and friendly. She’s already asking to go back to the salon:)

Refinery House has such a great atmosphere and the online booking is very convenient — have been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

My daughter has curly hair (mine is super straight so I’m no help) and we have never had anyone explain and cut her hair so well! Abigail was informative, super friendly and had my daughter leaving there with the biggest grin ever, feeling like a million bucks!

Melissa did a great job and gave me exactly the look I was hoping for. I could tell she was having fun too! Also, best wash I’ve had in ages!

I go to the 1881 district location. My hairstylist is Megan. She always knows how to handle my hair. It has been a year process of gradually going blonder and Megs always knows how to change it up without being so drastic. We have so much in common and I wouldn't ask for any other hairstylist. We have the best client and hairstylist relationship I have ever experienced with a hairstylist. If you're looking for a hairstylist who knows all the tricks as well as the ability to have a great conversation with you and give you the best experience, Megan is your girl

Loved my experience at the refinery house! Megs is great and worked her magic. I walked away with a beautiful full set of highlights and nice tone I was searching for. I was rather nervous as it was my first experience with a new stylist, however She was very open to my needs and knew how to accomplish the colour I wanted, based on pics etc.
I also love the location of the new downtown chilliwack salon… cute area and modern/chic

I had a wonderful experience with Melinda! She took the time to really understand what I was hoping for, and I absolutely love the colour and cut she gave me. Melinda is warm and welcoming, a good listener, and a skilled stylist.

I’ve been to this place a few times already and they never disappoint! If you’re still deciding or hesitating to go for a service, I’d say go for it. I’ve been having eyebrow threads & tints with them (Alli & Emme), had balayage with Tami and a haircut & treatment with Abi, and all those times I went there, I am a satisfied customer. They are all pretty great! They are very accommodating & knowledgeable on what they’re doing. Love the place & the team!?

We have gone to Refinery twice so far. Once for me and once for my daughter. We have officially found our hairdresser! Abi is absolutely wonderful - so very sweet and does a beautiful job. We both feel so pampered and beautiful and cannot wait till our next appointments. Do yourself a favour and book here for sure

I booked an appointment with Courtney at the Refinery to have my hair blow dried and styled for an event. She did a beautiful job! I got a lot of compliments and the curls stayed in my hair all night. I would definitely recommend!

Had a great appointment! My stylist was very thorough and asked what I was wanting and what I thought. She never rushed and took her time.

I’m very disappointed with how my hair turned out, I have been keeping my hair healthy for months to go back to blonde I show a reference photo and it turned out nothing like what I asked and she wasn’t explaining what she was doing to my hair and she gave me layers I asked for no layers because I do not like how they look in my way. I’ve had my hair up in a bun all week because I can’t look at my hair without wanting to cry. I hate how it turned out and will never be returning.

Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience with this company leading up to my wedding. The communication on part of their wedding coordinator was exceptionally poor despite numerous follow up emails attempting to clarify. I also was paired with a stylist that did not have the specific skill I requested on numerous occasions over the 6 months of communication prior to the wedding. In the end scramble, the hair stylists that came were wonderful and the hair looked beautiful. However, because of the issues leading up to the day, I would not recommend for an important event.

Had my first experience here the other day and it’s the best hair service I’ve had! Tami was my hairdresser and she was wonderful! My hair wasn’t an easy task and she managed to give me exactly what I wanted. THANK YOU tami ️ I’ll be back!

When I showed up to the Refinery House my hair colour was pretty botched and it didn't blend well. Megs did a phenomenal job fixing my hair colour and our conversation was awesome. I am definitely a loyal customer moving forward! I'm so happy!

I recently received a cut and wash by the lovely Courtney! It was my first time there and I was very impressed. Professional and super easy going! She gave me exactly what I wanted and really took the time to make sure it was perfect. My hair is no easy feat and she really did an amazing job!

This was my first time at Refinery House. I was referred by a friend and was not disappointed. Lauren listened to what I wanted done to my hair and did it. The shop was clean. Covid protocols were in place. The staff were friendly, and professional. I will certainly return.

Refinery house is great! They're friendly, have a pretty space, and gave me a great hair cut. Megan was terrific and seemed to understand what I wanted even better than I did.

After more than a year since my last haircut, I decided it was time to stop looking like a scrub and do something about it.

I booked with Emma, an apprentice, and could not be happier! She listened carefully and gave me exactly what I asked for, she's lovely to talk to, and she gives a badass scalp massage!

I also love that you can book with different levels of stylists if you're keeping an eye on your budget and they have a rewards system! I will definitely be going back in the future!

My experience was amazing! The staff is very welcoming and the space inside is so clean! Emma Laurie did a cut and colour on my hair and did a FANTASTIC job. I can't say enough how much I love the outcome! She is so friendly and truly wants to make sure that you love the outcome of you hair. Highly, highly recommend!

I've been going to Refinery House for the past couple years now, and they're amazing. I've seen a few different stylists and I don't have a single complaint about any of them. Everyone is so friendly and easy to chat with during the time you're sitting in their chair. I would definitely recommend them.

So Happy to have had refinery house recommended to me by a friend. I have been to several stylists and they have all been good! Even took my son for his first cut, and they were amazing. Definitely would recommend to anyone fro all services, I get cut and colour, never been disappointed.:)

Finally found a local Hair Salon that in top notch, for 10 years that I have lived in BC I have been going back to Edmonton for a visit and getting my hair done. Thanks for making my hair fabulous!

This is a hip and happening place. Had a first class experience, better than some very pricey salons that I've been to in the city. The philosophy expressed on the website becomes a reality when you go in. Great reception staff, Jodi did a separate 15 minute consult in advance of my appointment. Stathoula helped me to really articulate what I wanted with the help of pictures and questions. I can honestly say I haven't had an experience like that. Great head massage from one of the students who is learning (sorry I can't remember your name. Kaley?) I also watched one of the other staff at work (later found out her name was Jamie) all the clients are treated in the same great manner. Jamie later helped me with best products to use on my hair and had impressive knowledge of Davines because she's an educator. I really felt like the people working here are amazing and care so much about ensuring that Refinery House lives up to its name. I was very, very impressed. And Stathoula thanks for such a great transformative cut and colour/foils!
