Regional Recycling Abbotsford Bottle Depot

This use to be a good place to take all your recycling. Now all they want are your bottles and water bottles. Why can't we have a spot where they take everything. Tetra packages, milk cartons, cream cartons, milk jugs, glass jars. I don't know about the rest of you but I am fed up with running all over town to find a recycling place that will take everything. With the price of gas I can't afford to run around. Plus now they don't give you the big bags anymore. I think I will just start to throw everything back in to the trash bin.

Used to be great. Must have new management. Old workers were great. Now the place is awful. Will no longer support

I go quite often and never have a problem good to see it being done right nobody yelling at you for no reason and you get your full refund ty

So sign up at fast drop and make a account then just drop off ur bottles and boom money goes to ur account have to wait til u get 25 dollars to redeem though just so u know but they do the work for u which is awsome. Thanks fast drop love ur service.

I brought in 7 bags of bottles on Dec. 9 for Fast Drop. When I got my email saying my money was ready I received $3.20. I always bring in multiple bags so that I can have the money deposited into my bank. I have left 2 emails and left a phone message with no response.

Super happy with the exceptional service that I received from an employee named Ben, he helped me unload. I also noticed how clean and organized the abbotsford location has improved since he started

Since new ownership has taken over, this place has gone downhill. I usually the large bags provided which cuts my sorting by half, but now they want $. 50 each FIRST! On top of the awful service and the fear of getting ripped off, this is the final.straw! I will not be using this depot any longer and I would warn anyone who has to find another place.

Be very cautious and separate everything. It’s the second time I have been there and both times I feel I got ripped off. I felt something was fishy the first time but gave this place a second try and now I am convinced the cashier didn’t count all the returns. She didn’t even remove the cases from the lower cart just looked at it and did a quick visualization. I almost feel she just picked a number and estimates the amount.
I question her and rudely she said commented “ you can count it “ almost as if she anticipated to be questioned. Very unprofessional- If you don’t like your job find a new one that you enjoy.

I guarantee I am not the first person who felt this way. All the positive reviews are old read the recent reviews. Never again.

Horrible horrible experience here. Brought a cart in and the girl walked around it and said a number. She totally estimated and when I said I would count for her, she said that I couldn't since she had to go on a break. There was nobody else waiting. She was out over $5 in their favor.

Outside of recycling bottles this place is utterly useless. The customer service is terrible as the staff are completely clueless as to what they even recycle there. If all you are wanting is a bottle depot, it's not horrible

Last few times I went here the staff were super rude & ripped me off. I counted how many bottles & cans I had before hand & got called a liar.

Employees blasting metal music was torchure while trying to count out bottles. Female employees were unhelpful.

We went there to drop off old electronics and take in bottles and cans. Very well organized place, very helpful staff and process went smoothly. I would definitely go back there again to do the same!

Staff is very helpful. They almost recycle everything except hard plastic and Sunny was very helpful he unloaded my old tv from my car which was very heavy for me to lift. I couldn't say him thanks because he went helping to the next customer. I will recommend this place to my friends.

I’m reviewing the business who counts and sorts ur bottles for you the two men sunny and harjot were amazing they took all my bags of bottles and it was closed I thought it was open til 6 and it was actually 530 but they helped me and took. All my bottles anyways they went above and beyond there duties and I was very grateful for that and them and they took there time to answer all my questions and they were both very polite friendly and helpful definitely would recommend them to anyone thanks guys get job I will be back

My husband took 8 bags of can recycling to the bottle depot at Vye road and Riverside and did the drop off service they have where they give you a ticket and call you when they are done. They called him today so he went down and picked it up and was given a ticket for $6.00. He asked to talk to the manager. He spoke right to the guy who told him to grab a cart to bring them in and it took three trips and the employee’s said “I don’t remember that”. They have all new employees since he went last. The old employees who were great and helpful are all gone.
That was at least 130 bucks worth of recycling. Last couple times he did it they were bang on. And now that they have all new employees something is off. If you drop off at that depot I would take a picture of what you drop off.

Update: I have spoken to their new regional manager and they have rectified the issue. They are in the process of making things better at this facility so that they align with the other regional recycling facilities across the lower mainland. Thank you to both Arnold and Sonny for making it right.

Staff need more training from supervisors down. Despite the website claim, signs in the parking lot, and indoors, I was just told by staff, and an older employee that "we never take milk containers. " I know that there is no refund on them, as per the website "Please Note: While we do recycle them, no deposit is paid for milk items so we're unable to provide a refund. " I've been using this depot for over 2 years now, and this is the FIRST time that staff has told me this. They ended up taking the bag of milk containers, but not without an argument. The rest of the transaction went quickly and professionally. Ticket #02248663

I am getting very disappointed in this recycling depot and may have to change I've been coming here for over a year. The staff in the past has been fantastic and helpful and cheerful. Unfortunately all the good people are gone. I am very sorry to see this happen but Iknow it is for the best for them. The staff does not have the same caring attitude any longer.twice in a very short time I've been ripped off and not by $2 because I count mine and I bag them all the time and know how much is owning to me. One time it was $20 today it was more I am not arguing with them anymore but I will not becoming there anymore either

Called to ask if they had fast track bottle return (drop off bags and they count and put it in an account)
First time I called. She hung up on me.
So I called back as my question wasnt answered. Got someone different - they said yep we have that at that location! Great.so I load up and head out.

I get there. No fast track in sight. The girl there said they never had it and. Theyre privately owned (?) - they dont have a phone line.

Wasnt going to load up and go else where. I had stuff to do. Ended up just sorting myself. Defeated the purpose of saving for so long.

Wont be going back to this location.

Fellow came out and helped me sort my recycled materials. Pleasant and informed me what to do with the oil containers i had.

People working there are very nice. Place usually is quite busy. This time it was Bee Zee instead. The parking and sorting area for public was full of bees. We had to go away without depositing the bottles as the bees were just everywhere. Would advise to call before coming to check the bee situation

I felt so bad for the employees.

I always get the best service here all the staff are so awesome and helpful I love how quick and easy it is cuz I just presort everything and bringing the count sheet with numbers I live in Mission and drive all the way out there it's the only place I'll go

Nice and easy and quick in today's environment with COVID. Lots of room to keep you distance with the big parking lot.

Amazing, pulled up last Saturday with a large load, and two ladies came out right away helped with everything. Super friendly and very helpful. Even made it fun for my kids. Will go here from now on. Thanks again guys

One stop shop for all your recycling needs! Not sure if they have the bottle drop off as I’ve never taken my recyclable bottles there. However, they will take large and small appliances, cardboard, and even oil products! Really great if you’re doing a renovation, or do your own car maintenance.

I use to love coming here, but the last time I came they completely ripped me off. Government changed the deposit fees on recycling on Nov 1st. I waited til Nov 22nd to bring in my cans, I had 3 full bags I only received 30 bucks and each tray was a $1.20. I realized once I got into my car that each tray should of been $2.40 and of course I threw out my receipt when I was there. Be careful people check your receipts before you leave. I am sure I am not the first person this has happened to.
