Regional Recycling Cloverdale - Surrey Bottle Depot

Tried to return bottles. They have a hornet nest nearby because the second you touch any of the dirty can sorters they swarm you.

Ripped off. Didn't even lift stuff to count. Told us to recount them just cause they were busy. If you want what you deserve do not go to this depot! I would give zero stars if it were an option! Huge rip off!

I was yesterday there with my husband we return 2 full tray of cans, the girls gave us only 43 dollars, she said she count the top and bottom but we did not see her bend and count the bottle under the trolley we could swear she did not, I told her so my husband she said she did. Anyway we think she make extra cash not counting it! Terrible I won't be going there anymore

Don't know if that Vietnamese lady is still there, but I worked here a few years ago. She does nothing but yell at employees and customers. She even scared our female manager. She made everyday horrible, and I only lasted 2 months at this place. If she's still there, please fire her. What a real piece of work!

Very clean and the staff are professional at what they do. Always leave there thinking geez what a positive experience.

Worst bottle depot. We just moved to Cloverdale few month ago and I went there with my son. We usually count our bottles when we return them. But we forgot to count them the first time we went there. The East Indian guy who works there didn’t even counted our bottles right! We were like staring at him how he does his job and he never even lift the trays if you pile them. He paid us half price of what we brought there at that time! We were so disappointed! Will never go to this place again ever!

Wasn't as I expected, was expecting you have a machine to drop your stuff in and it continued it for you but the lady there is very help full more power to them, and they're young people too in most countries younger generations don't want to work just love hand out oh well

Staff was grumpy and unhelpful. Don't take glass, plastic bags or plastic overwrap. Said they didn't take aerosol cans or printer cartridges (which they do!). Waste of time, will go elsewhere.

The place is ok.but there is toooooo much glass in the car parking plus they need to figure out how to do the bottles in the winter time.they should build a over head to keep people for not getting wet.plzs think.of that it would be good for bussiness.and clean up the glass more offen ty

Everything is well organized and the folks working here are really helpful. It’s really easy to just drive in and drop off what ever needs recycling. You can even drop paint off here, which there are seemingly not many places that accept paint.

As others have said. This place has some rude staff members who are not helpful. I would recommend trying another place.

Amazing facility! Very clean and organized! My time there was made by the friendly and helpful staff. They go above and beyond to make every customers experience a pleasant one and really go that extra mile.

This location is getting worse each time I visit. The list of items they accept is shrinking. Recently I discovered they do not pay for lead acid batteries. They do not accept oil or drywall. It is not easy to travel further to other depots. These locations should accept more item rather than fewer.

Unfortunately they do not take oil like the description stated, but the staff and facility were nice.

I can not even believe the state of this place as of late. I went in yesterday and it was a disaster. There wasn’t one table that was clean, the floors were a mess and no one was anywhere near the cash. I could kind of understand it if it was busy, but there was no customers besides me inside and only 1 person outside. Even the office door was propped open, which was an absolute no no when I worked here in 2017 as a supervisor under Alyssa. This would never have been acceptable. You need to hire someone like her again - she was an amazing boss and truly cared about the company and how it was represented.

Very convenient and very helpful staff. Have recycled tv, computers, metal cabinets, cardboards and what not. Please add Oil recycling to this location.please please please.

Very good experience except they don't take used oil as their website suggests. Why is this such a problem? We pay an environmental fee when oil is purchased, yet it is difficult to recycle. Human nature is that if something is difficult, an easier way (maybe not the best way) may be considered.

Large, clean recycling centre with lots of carts, baskets and space to sort. However, I feel shorted a lot of the times I return refundable containers here, particularly by a specific employee. I wouldn’t be surprised if she is ripping off her workplace by short refunding customers. 50 cents here, 50 cents there and on a busy day serving over 100 customers, one can make a small fortune being shady and ripping people off. Oh well, it’s her karma. Like another reviewer mentioned, make multiple trips with smaller loads to try avoid discrepancies.

WCB SHUT DOWN THERE USED OIL PROGRAM FRIENDLY STAFF BUT DO NOT TAKE USED OIL HERE UNTIL YOU CAN AND YOU HEAR YOU CAN

They give a full 10 cent deposit while other depots do not. Friendly staff and lots of parking.

Great facility. They take almost everything except for glass & styrofoam. Very convenient parking & the staff are super friendly

I am very disappointed to note that this location has decided to open 11-4 on Remembrance Day - disgraceful to be open through the 11th hour!
This is contrary to their posted hours and website - but at the facility this past weekend they had posters up to notify that they would indeed be open. Shame on you.

Thank you for your response but it does not explain why you chose 11am to open - if there is a demand and you want to open on Weekend Stats as a convenience Is not my concern, but you could have opened at noon on this particular day.
