For the first time I bought a firearm, sight unseen. Alex did a fantastic job on the over the phone purchase and the shipping to the Island in two days! Hands down the best store in town for all your firearm/ammunition/accessories needs. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff who are always willing to help and answer any questions one may have. Great pricing and never any sort of pressure to make a purchase (even when window shopping). They have a great used selection as well.

I nervously walked into reliable gun today as I read good reviews and heard good feedback from friends who own firearms. I walked in with my PAL, my credit card, and some questions. As I approached an Asian gentleman behind the counter, I told him it was my first time in a gun store and was looking at purchasing a firearm that day. He was condescending with his approach, told me that people usually figure out what calibre bullet they want to fire, before asking about what type of firearm to buy (even though I told him for starters, a. 22 is where I'd like to start).

He showed me one firearm, didn't see interested in answering questions, I was making small talk and asked if there was a specific firearm I wanted, could they order it. He told me it wasn't an apple store and I wasn't ordering an iPhone.

It was a dissapointing experience, it's nerve racking enough walking into a gun store for the first time, let alone being talked to like that. I got in my car, drove 10 minutes down the road to Italian Sporting Goods, where I was promptly helped, spent an hour, walked out with a firearm and spent $2500.

I would not recommend going to reliable, and I will never return and will let met many noobs know about this poor experience.
Customer service isn't for everyone, and clearly not for this gentleman.

Updated review. Originally it was 2 stars but it appears there was a miscommunication issue over the gunsmith fee which has since been cleared up. Anyone with a gun knows services and parts can quickly rack up in fees but what they charged was a great deal. They also had the job done in a few days too which was surprising. Very efficient. They're saved on my list for any future gun needs

Ordered my very first shotgun online from here when my firearms license arrived back in 2015 a h&r pardner single shot if i remember correctly they were great to deal with it's a long distance between them and me i am in Ontario and they are in British Columbia but that didn't matter they had my pal verified and my new firearm shipped out in no time picked up at canada post lol i plan on buying another single shot from them again soon

I bought a ruger ranch 5.56 rifle at this store during black Friday sales, before that I have already shopped at this store several times, all things are fine. But, this black experience made me change my view with this store, with previous trust, this time I didn't unbox the package to check out the product, after arriving home I found out this rifle is the used one, with carbon debris on the muzzle and bolt, plus chamber was scratched. So, Here I want to say never believing this namely reliable store all the time, sometimes it is unbelievable.

I update my comments on above contents after receiving a call from a staff of the reliable gun store today, and I accepted his reasonable explanation on the possibility of the incidence. So, I appreciate the positive response from the reliable gun store and good attitude of professional service.re-rate my comment to Five stars.

I have been shopping around for an airsoft gun. Unfortunately there are no stores in my town without a ferry trip which resulted to shopping online. My rule of thumb is looking at the stores reviews, I looked at a lot of places and read through many reviews. The one thing that stood out outside of their rating was that this company takes the time to personally respond to reviews. That is huge with me, shows you care and are engaged with your customers.

I came across an issue during checking out and not long after I emailed the store I received a response and a resolution. Superior customer service. Much thanks to the team and Gavin.

The staff at Reliable Gun were exceptional. I went in to look at an item that was advertised on the website and was happy to find they had several in stock. The two gentlemen that helped me were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions without any sales pressure. They also have some of the best prices around especially on the monthly sales on the website. Parking in the area is not great so allow a few minutes to find a spot or park down a side street as I did.

Visited this store dozens of times and I always have a great experience. The staff are personable and have a wealth of knowledge, if you're an experienced shooter or just getting started the folks at Reliable can help you out. More than once I have had the gunsmith look something over with me, explain how to fix it (in one case doing it himself) and send me on my way free of charge.

I would confidently recommend Reliable Gun to anyone interested in shooting sports and hunting

Reliable Gun was one of the best places I've ever worked at and one of the only places that treated me like family. Great set of folks who'll treat you right and take care of you. Great selection of products and the amount of knowledge the folks there have is unreal. I can bring in most guns and they'll find out as much info as they can ASAP. Amazing! I don't live in the area so I have Purchases shipped. I've now had 2 great experiences here. Both purchases have been received and.shipped. Ridiculously fast. I honestly thought the first time was a fluke but I just purchased and received a second time, multiple items, and in incredible time. These folks obviously take care of their online customers, and frankly better than.any business I've ever ordered from. This will now be my "go to" gun and ammo store for sure! Cant wait to make a trip there in person!

Reliable lives up to the name, and then some. Have had awesome experiences purchasing equipment, ammunition, both in store and online. The one rare, minor hiccup was immediately and very professionally handled, demonstrating great integrity and the value they place upon their customers and the quality of their service. I have bought three guns from them in the last month and dealt with three different people each time. All fantastic and very helpful people. I'm brand new to all this and they really took care of me and made me feel comfortable. I can see why they have a good rating and reputation among my friends.

Super friendly staff and super knowledgeable people who will go above and beyond. My first time in the store after getting my PAL last year, the older gentleman who worked there was fantastic and I had a fantastic conversation about handguns with for quite a bit. Been a customer since, and each and every one of the staff I've interacted are just as friendly. Would recommend, especially if you're a new PAL and are looking for guidance and well, a store I guess you can.rely on!

If it’s great service you want, this place and there folks are there people you need. I was really impressed with the whole experience.

I inquired if this company had a particular rifle magazine in stock, for an older 22. They did not have in stock and took the time to refer me to a competitor of theirs. Wow, was i impressed. A retailer actually referring me to a competitor. Very refreshing to be introduced to honourable people. In future this company is my first to go to for any products.

I want to give a big 5 star to Hermes for his exceptional service. I went to Reliable Gun in the morning and i was helped from Hermes. He was able to help me choose the right dot sight for my gun, and he had lots of patience to check what was the best option and fitment for my gun. He also gave me different choices and options wich it was easy for my to decide. Thanks to Hermes and the whole Reliable Gun team. I will be going there for more.

I brought my gun to Reliable to be repaired in February of 2020. I was told that it could take as long as 6 weeks to get it back, which I though was fine since it wasn't working anyway. I waited the 6 weeks and contacted them but whomever I talked to just told me that someone else had dealt with it and that I should call back when that person was available later in the week. When I called back they didn't answer nor did they return my calls.

I continued calling them in subsequent months into the summer of 2020. About 50% of the time they would not answer the phone and I have never once had them return my calls. The other 50% of the time they gave me the same excuse as the first time. That someone else was dealing with it, that this person was either not working that day or is unavailable, and to call back later it the week to talk with them.

Eventually, I did in fact physically visit them a couple times at their shop with the ticket I was initially given when I brought in my gun to be repaired. They just gave me the same excuse that I was told over the phone. The guy dealing with it isn't here, come back another time.

It is November 2021 as of this review. Not only do I not have my gun back, but I still have no information as to its status or whereabouts. I think that it's reasonable for me to at least get the cash equivalent for the gun if they aren't capable of returning it. However, at this point I have entirely given up on trying to get it back regardless if it's repaired or not.

Needless to say, they are not at all "Reliable" as their name states. I do not recommend doing business with them whatsoever.

I bought new GSG 15 and used ISSC M22, so far no problems, oiled the firearms before shooting it in the range, no issues, overall customer service was great and very attentive.

Bought a small handful of things from Reliable. I have always been impressed with their service and fair prices.

I am currently going through a QC related return process with Reliable. While I am severely disappointed with the nameless brand in question, it has given me an opportunity to see just how ready and willing Reliable is to stand behind what they are selling, and ensure you are happy with your purchase.

As a result of the multiple QC issues with this particular product, I am going to be exchanging it for a different brand and paying a little more. They do not have the particular caliber I want in stock, but I am so happy with how they have handled this issue thus far, I'll be opting for a different caliber just to support what I believe to be the best gun store in the country.

If you are planning to check out Reliable, just know they have an exceptional level of customer service that in my opinion far exceeds any other retailer I have dealt with in Canada.

My PAL came in so I stopped by Reliable to pick up my first firearm. I'd done a little research and found Reliable had the best price in the lower mainland for the rifle I wanted.

On arrival I was met by Nick who politely asked me to wait outside as they were at capacity. Very busy place. Nick ushered me in right away when he could. I got a feeling of genuine congratulations at becoming a legal firearm owner. Nick also grabbed everything I asked for along with the rifle (trigger lock, ammunition, cleaning kit).

Overall a very good first time purchasing a firearm, thanks Nick!

Good service, good selection, decent price. Went in to get my first rifle. Was going to go with a. 17 hmr calibered entry level synthetic bolt action.but the guy talked me out of it considering the ammo was 4x as much as in 22lr. So he recommended me a used Cz 455 with a vortex scope and irons included. Double the price, but I’m probably about even now considering the 1400 rounds through the gun, so I’m saving $ with every bullet from now on. Thanks to the thought out customer service. 100% will use again.

Unreliable gun is a much better name for these bums.had my browning 308 for a year to get a pin fixed came back still broken no phone calls no updates no nothing.you guys don't know anything about firearms.when I called and explained what the gun was doing is reply was.comparing a hair cut over the phone.ok said its a pin lever action have pin do you know what that is.guess not.would give a minus 5 star if I could.

Emails were returned quickly the same evening. The items showed up as expected, on time (they shipped my stuff out fast), and in good order. I would not hesitate ordering again. I have full confidence in this company, and you should too.

Bought a gsg 16 and beretta 92fs mags from here and they work as expected.
They have a very good stock of rifles and ammo even during the pandemic but seem to be running out of reloading supplies.

The lowest price policy is very misleading. I brought in a price from cabelas.ca during black friday weekend and wanted to get a price match but they were not able to match the price because it is below cost. Very dissapointing experience and the representative at the counter was not very customer friendly.

Very poor customer service. I have not seen such poor customer service anywhere in NA.
Visited the store couple days ago. Kept waiting for almost 45 minutes before someone asked me what’s the purpose of the visit. After I told the sales associate what I was there for, he said I am doing something else right now some one else will help you. That someone else took another 15 minutes to show up. While we waited in line we saw the sales associates chatting up each other not caring there is a line up and there are customers waiting to be helped.
I do not recommend this store. Try calling them as well they won’t pick up and 9 out of 10 times the phone keeps ringing without being answered.

I received a scope as a gift and went to reliable to get it mounted on my 3006 parker hale they mounted it ad sent it back due to covet 19 in Oct.i went on an annual one week hunting trip to the Kootenays when i went to
load my gun I found the bolt would not clear the scope Could not load or use my gun for the whole week and was unable to hunt.when I returned I talked to Nick the manager. I brought the gun in and he tried to fix it with risers but it didn't work he talked to the gunsmith who he said was the owner they recommended grinding the bolt or heating it and giving a slight bend, the gun smith recommended heating. Nick said the parker hale has a high lift and they had done about 50 over the years with no problem.after hearing this I asked Nick why they didn't ask for the bolt when I brought in the gun and why didn't the gunsmith who is also the owner ask for the bolt when he was installing the scope thier was no reply I felt was verry irresponsible for a professional gun smith who has previously experienced this problem I spent a week in the kootenays at a great expense and never received an apology from the owner who is also the gun smith

Ordered a part off the website. They called saying they could not find it. Was a little disappointed but not shocked since this part was long discontinued. They then called back 20 minutes later saying they ended up finding it just was in the wrong box. For the fact they did not give up looking after the 1st phone call is the reason for the 5 stars.
