Reliable Moving Moving Company Local Movers

I had to move from a 2-bedroom in Fairview-Burrard to Burnaby. Unfortunately the day before the scheduled move, the elevator in the building I was in malfunctioned. Technicians came and weren't able to finish the repairs so the moving company hired more guys, 6 in total to be prepared to move everything down 5 flights of stairs. Thankfully, I bugged the building caretaker enough that he spoke to the elevator company and they were able to get it going and allow us to use the elevator for two hours and only for the move then they had to shut it down again and finish the repairs. With 6 guys it still took 2.5 hours to move everything into the truck. There was another wrinkle, someone dropped the ball at the place I was going to move into so wasn't able to move in there on the scheduled date. They were strict with 72 hours notice to book an elevator so had to move stuff into storage and a few days later things move be moved out of storage and into the new unit in Burnaby. The storage fee for 3 days was $350 which I thought was reasonable. I was really impressed with the professionalism and care shown by all the people showed during the move. We were in constant communication about various things. I would definitely hire them if/when I have another big move I need to do.

We found Alston and his crew great and were very happy with the service. We moved from the North Shore to Oliver in two stages over several weeks. We downsized (but not enough!) from a 5 bedroom 4 bath to 3 and 2. It was our first move in over 30 years and we had a lot of stuff! Alston was very professional, and his crews were thoughtful, hardworking, cheerful and efficient. All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Reliable Moving. I think the name says it all!

I moved from rmd to Seattle, these guys did an excellent job loading uhaul. I had a bunch of fragile items, they helped pack to make sure they are safe during the long drive. They also arranged my boxes well so that they won’t shift in the truck during the drive without tie down. They are very detailed and fast! They care about my apartment during moving to make sure there is not even one mark left. I’m very much happy and impressed. Definitely a 5 star!

I used Reliable Moving to move my parents (86 and 87 years old) from Ladner to Vancouver and their service was exceptional! I highly recommend them as a moving company. They took great care of my parents treasured possessions by wrapping all their furniture so they would not get damaged, even stuff that I did not think needed to be wrapped. I could tell that Care of their clients belonging was very important to them along with Safety and Security of their truck. I did not think we needed 3 people to move us but boy was I wrong. One person wrapped the furniture, one person loaded the elevator and one person loaded the truck and kept it secure. Alston the owner not only was accurate in his assessment of how long it would take but they were on time and worked very hard so that we could get through the tunnel prior to it switching over. Alston and his team were punctual and professional. The team was also well equipped with moving equipment, padding, floor runners, etc.to help us move cleanly and safely. They even helped us disassemble shelving and large furniture. We unfortunately ran into a broken elevator on our moving day, but they pivoted with our plans and worked hard to get everything done as quickly as possible.

They ensured everything was moved to our satisfaction before leaving. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family!

Very professional service from Alston and his staff.

His quote was very competitive and a very professional interview before the move. He did not scope out the complex we were moving to as thoroughly as he probably wished he had because there was a lot more back and forth from the truck to the building front door.

He had quoted a flat rate for the job and admitted that they were losing time at our new home but accepted that that was his responsibility not ours. They hustled to get things done and never once tried to say they needed more money from us. I have never seen a moving crew wrap as many things as they did to protect them during the move.

We would highly recommend Reliable Moving and would use them again should we need to move in the future!

Alston and his colleague were punctual, organized, efficient, and just overall great. They went above and beyond my expectations and really made this moving process less stressful for us. They came prepared with protection for door and hallways (tight condo spaces) and padded all our furnitures nice and carefully. They were also able to disasseble and reassemble our dining table and bed frame and positioned them exactly where we wanted them at our new place. We had some oversights like not getting some felt tips for our furniture going from carpet to laminate but thanks to Alston we were able to go get some right away and not worry about applying them after the move!
