My experience has not been the best; when our condo was constructed, they stated they were taking over, so there were a lot of ongoing issues. But after six months, I am still having trouble getting my intercom fixed, and my condo's rates increased during the first year of occupancy. My issue is the lack of assistance; they will say something is being worked on or offer a remark to buy more time in eyes (all documented). I have been writing them for the past six months back and forth and can’t get a phone number to speak to someone higher in charge. Issues for example a security breach that permits entry to our floor's elevator, add a backup number to my intercom, and address the intercom's inability to open doors. These little things make me wonder why everyone else has been telling me that things should not be this way and that their strata have been trouble-free from the beginning.

If I could give 0stars I would. I rent a property managed by REMI and they are by far the worst. We have trash outside, no garbage bins outside the buildings and the dog park is never cleaned up and filled with waste. It takes them forever to respond to email inquires and they dont enforce any rules. They send a letter asking us not to over fill the dog waste bin yet dont clean it. They are the worst company and I highly encourage anyone not to rent/buy a townhome/condo if these guys are your strata.

We asked the Remi and Ventura ave manager to set our buzz number, empty our locker (someone else put their stuff in our locker) and issue us parking passes. Its been two months. After too many emails and calls they did nothing. Even our two cars towed as well. Garbage management company

I saw the last respond from REMI realty inc to Jasmine li said "managers are required to all enquiries with 2 business days. " Then why we sent emails to Andy Song since aug 6th, we got no responses for 12 days? During this 12 days, we have called 5 times and he has not even replied or called back once.this is how remi manager's stander to calls and emails? And he finally got back to us was due to we complained to his direct manager.even until now, we are still waiting for requesting documents under spa section 35 (2) (b), owner has right for access. As strata management company, they only reply strata council and ignore owners' request.they can't fairly treat owner as customer and their managers especially andy song has lack of experience.only thing he know how to handle issue by hiding himself on the side.this is the way remi show people what kind of professional team you have and how assist owners/tenants' enquiries right way?

REMI was the strata management company hired by our developer prior to completion so we had the misfortune of working with them for about 6 months before finding another strata company. The company more or less scammed us, charging us 7 months of full management while offering barely any services.

Things started poorly right off the bat when we were assigned the strata manager Evelyn who provided little to no service during her time. Meeting minutes and financial statements were riddled with errors and the amended bylaw was never even made available to the residents despite the council's repeated pleas.

Evelyn failed to reach the garbage company in a timely manner, resulting in the strata not receiving garbage collection for weeks. Then she claimed that she couldn't reach another one of our contractors, stating that the phone number was out of service but a council member was able to easily reach the same number with zero issues, implying that she never tried to call at all. She responded to fewer than 5% of our email/phone communications before abruptly taking a medical leave. It appeared obvious in hindsight that she was simply unable to perform the job, begging the question as to why REMI assigned her to manage our property to begin with.

Evelyn was quickly replaced by Mark, who was personable but clearly inexperienced. When we flagged to Mark all the unaddressed strata issues, he was simply incapable of dealing with them due to his obvious lack of knowledge (i.e. What to do when there appear to be errors with the strata electrical bills). He provided us with minimal services before suddenly disappearing without a trace. We only later found out after weeks of no service that Mark had left the company. One would assume that REMI would promptly inform us of this but it is very telling that Mark only worked with REMI for ~2 months before moving on.

After Mark left we were never assigned another strata manager. The council was basically left to fend for ourselves while continuing to pay a monthly management fee. It is an absolute shame that companies like REMI exist and I would advise against any stratas or developers working with them.

Had a experience recently where both myself and my neighbor had some issues with our plumbing. Contacted Remi and within a day had a technician on site along with the specialized equipment to fix the issue. Much appreciated for the help!

Looking at Remi as a new Manager for your Strata? As the Council President of a Strata Building that used Remi for 2 years, I have one word of advice. Dont!

Awful company. We have lived in our building less than a year and have had such a bad experience. Unresponsive, they charged us an elevator fee to move in and we couldn’t even lock the elevator. We are trying to get AC installed and paid an engineer and have done everything the strata has asked and we are STILL waiting on a letter of approval to find out our strata manager is off for 2 weeks after telling us he’d have the letter by end of week. Super disappointing and unacceptable with the amount we pay into strata monthly.

Poor service.

Edit: in the year since I left my review things have only gotten worse.this is absolutely the worst strata management company you could possibly imagine. They ignore everything asked of them but have no problem cashing out cheques. I’d love to contact their VP.just give me 5 mins alone with them.

REMI has been unresponsive and our annual budget has not been completed since 2021. This all started after one of their property managers left the company. They have since ignored our strata.

I am working with Taylor Hoffman at REMI realty in Fernandina beach Florida. She is amazing. So willing to help (I’m long distance by the way). She has been video touring homes for us and trying to find what we need. Honestly she’s gone above and beyond.

Contractors Beware of these crooks.

They do not pay their bills. I have left several messages through email and phone calls to the property manager and receptionist. The receptionist had told me that accounts payable had mailed a cheque in October and nothing. Another phone call revealed that they never received my invoice and to please re-submit it (Again in the begining of November) another phone call revealed that they have received it and I should expect a cheque in the next 3-5 days.crickets. Last week another phone call revealed that they didn't receive any invoice and that I didn't exist. Today I attached the same invoice demanding to speak with the accounts payable department directly to confirm weather or not they received my invoice and to do so within the next half an hour. I receive a phone call from the same receptionist that has been playing me for 2 months stating that they were the accountant. I asked her "Are you sure"" you sound an aweful lot like the person i've been speaking to this whole time. Then they say, I am calling on their behalf because their phone lines are down. My God. The lies and miss-management from this company. Keep my money as long as you need cause you're going to need it.

Renters or Investors beware!

I rented a townhouse managed by this company. I ended the tenancy properly and was refunded my damage deposit via regular mail. In this day and age of computers, a simple transfer of money takes literally 2 minutes, but they prefer using regular mail to give your money back when they force you to use automatic bank withdrawals. Right. The bigger issue is that they did not turn off the the automatic withdrawal and took yet another month's rent (thousands of dollars) after I was no longer renting from them. Oops some would say. I have sent multiple emails to get "reimbursed" for this money but to no avail. A few phone calls to supervising managers were ignored. I guess my recourse is small claims court. Not sure how many of us can go for long without 1000s of $ of our own money.

Investors
During my 2+ years of tenancy, I was visited by the property managing company only once. That was after the 2 year mark when they switched employees. Not much supervision there. Good thing I was a model tenant and did not destroy the place.

Update
I have attended their office in langley in person and explained the situation once more. No one was available to meet with me. Neither did I receive a follow up phone call until two days later telling me my situation was being looked after. I was eventually given my money back. No words of apology other than from the poor sweet receptionist who took my information when I went to their office. For a client based, personal relationship company, they fall far short of providing the most basic service. Utterly disgusting.
