Renfrew Park Community Centre

Too bad they got rid of the 100 pound dumbbells they had years ago. Very small gym and crowded. Just come here because it is convenient.

Could use more benches. Bring your own lock is great unless you forgot your own lock. The hair dryers are placed up high on the wall in the hallway causing a terrible injury to a friend, that really needs to be moved. This facility really needs to be better maintained as it was so dirty everywhere you couldn't sit or place your things down. Extremely dirty for a pool and I visit a lot of different locations and expect a mess but this was pretty bad. Makes me question if I want to go back. Desk staff are nice. Building is pretty decent. There is a library across the way and parking below. Not sure if it's paid parking or free, I am kind of curious about that. Lots of street parking out front. This location would be great but it's so busy and dirty it's questionable. I haven't been able to relax there.

Nice facility. The badminton court is quite big and the swimming pool is good too.
Staff are very friendly too.

I went during peak hours so this review is biased. I used the fitness center, the area is small, the equipment is limited and you get the after school crowd going their to work (hang) out. I had to find a corner and grab some dumb bells to have a workout. But I wasn't the only one. This community needs a bigger center to serve it's growing population.

This is worse community center. People worked there have bad attitude. The service is soo poor. You bought annual pass, but most time the swimming pool, and hot tub can not use.

Quite disappointed with the gym. It is always super crowded.
Today, I went there at 7am as they said they are going to to open it at 6: 30am today. But it was closed till 7: 30am and about 20 ppl are waiting in the lobby for gym and swimming pool.

Local community recreation center. Has pool, weight gym, martial art courses, judo. Great options for people in the Renfrew Collingwood area

Love the staff here and the pool. Very busy and popular with families - I find going early makes for a quieter experience. My wife and I make a habit of parking by that newer dog park now so we can watch the dogs play before we head inside. We like that they used some of the parking lot for the dog park. Better usage we say!

Good for my kid's swimming lessons. I like that the library is next door so we can do 2 things in one stop. Parking lot can be a nuisance with tight spots and weird shape. Staff very helpful.

Front desk is way too slow. You can have 3+ people at front with 2 terminals and only 1 person processing transactions. Even just signing in for the gym can take 15 mins, ridiculous. It's the same workers every time from morning till 2pm and I've been coming here for over a year.

Great community centre, everything was reasonable, but the staff was very unhelpful. They didn't answered properly, i think it was very hard to them for answering customers question. Other things is okay, fair price, everything was very cleaned.

Great community center Pool, steam, sauna and lots of other activities. But with covid I'm not sure what's going on there. Give them a call

Great place to workout. Although limited equipment due to the pandemic, friendly staff and great environment.

The front desk people are the worst of any of the Vancouver community centre. Very unhelpful, unaware of the programs in their own community centre, full of attitude, and don't have the mental capacity to point you in the right direction. Killarney and Hillcrest have much more competent front desk workers. Why can't Renfrew hire the same calibre of staff?

Someone mentioned in their review that there is no swimming pool, but there is one. It's not on the lowest floor like other community centre.

The building is a bit older, but a gem nonetheless offering a nice community space with various programs and activities. I liked that there was a pool table on the lower floor.

We came here for a birthday party. I didn't know that you can book a party here with an indoor bouncy castle! I think it'd be a huge benefit to market this service within the community.

Easy to get an inexpensive day pass! Clean amenities, and day passes even included pool and sauna.

Fitness center is small and super packed, waitlist for cardio machines. Reception is rude rude rude, yelling at people lol

Awful, it's expensive for what they offer plus they use any excuse to close the fitness center whenever they can.

LOVE that there's a women's only time slot for the workout room on Saturday mornings. Staff here are super nice, gym has all the equipment I need and the change room is pretty clean ️

Called to inquire about the programs and the lady on the phone was really rude. I asked here a couple of questions and her reply was, “IT WILL TAKE A LOT OF TIME EXPLAINING SO YOU WOULD HAVE TO COME AND CHECK” in a really rude tone. I tried to stop her to ask a question but would not let me speak. If people here can’t help then there is no need of phone person or receptionist.

Pretty nice. Older building but well maintained. A clean pool and hottub. A must visit kind of place

Staff here is a bit slow in the reception area, don't seem too trained.

As for the gym, it has everything you need, a pool and also a steam room.

Discount dip Monday and fridays 730pm till 930, it can be busy, but worth it. Hotub is great in the winter you can see the snow and leaves falling in the big glass window next to it. It's all good here:)

The place sure changed. Lots of things available for the public as well as the access to the nearby library.

Swimming, Chinese folk sing song, social dance, old folks slow dance, VLP is nearby.free WiFi, public washroom, wheelchair ok.need clean man room clean ok see time schedule for any other activities ok.

Not the nicest, newest or most spacious facility, but it's relatively clean. Weight room gets very crowded during peak hours.

Good place to workout. May be little more gym equipments would be great. Clean and I love this place

The gym and sauna are way too small to accommodate the renfew community apparently, always so crowed. It is dangerous to work out in the gym machines and benches are so close together u can't fully extend ur arms without hitting someone

Great place for a walk. Dog park in enclosed area. Library and pool. Community programs. Good field to run around.

This review is based on an indoor soccer class my son attended. The teacher wasn't good at all. It seemed he had little plan for the lessons. There were no clear learning goals. He hap-hazardly explained things. Also, he had no tactics to control the children so by the end of the lessons he had given into frustration and began using shame and belittling to get the children to do what he wanted.
