Rest Area

Another quality rest stop full bathrooms, wifi and has a place to eat and if it’s summer great swimming down at the river with the bungy zone just up the river.

My son was smacked in the face by a woman who screamin at her children just started at all of them then she kicked the window in my van i opened it she punched me in the face i got out recovered my son and left stopping to tell the lady who works there what happended went down the road called rcmp to no avail they didnt know where cassidy rest area was sigh just shameful a call to childwelfare yeilded to much resistance.sad.worst rest stop on island represent nanaimo u rock?

Ice-cream shop beside parking lot also a good restaurant. A lot of parking if it's not a hot summer day with everyone at the river swimming.

Holy swimming hole️ there's a reason why the people of Cassidy are so happy. This water is PERFECT AND clean. Plus there's a pie shop up on top of the hill and ice cream too.

Beautiful water, had a great swim. Started getting packed early, definitely glad we got there when we did.

Getting in from southbound is a left turn across a busy highway and then when you leave it's a few kilometers of backtracking to get back to southbound. (The "U-turn route")

The facilities themselves are basic but adequate if a bit old. There was surprisingly soap in the dispensers.

Very tranquil great place to get out go for a nice walk or just watch the birds and the animals take your dog for a walk it's a great place stress reliever

Very clean, but definitely needed a hand sanitizer container, especially during these times, but always would be better.

Love the restaurant and ice cream shop, as well as clean washrooms and quick access to the rest to the river/cliff jumping. Great spot for families to park N' play.

It was open! Thank you as we had to make an emergency trip to Nanaimo and not many places were open due to the Covid Virus.
They were clean and had lots of soap.

I only stopped here to take care of business.due to lack of options.only 1ply toilet paper was offered. I don't recommend pooping in this establishment.

Great place to stop at near Nanaimo river. The water is clean and deep. No bathrooms. Not for little kids.

Nice area to pull over and stretch your legs or kill some time before boarding the ferry, restaurant is available as well green areas that can be enjoyed.

Always stop here on my drive home from Victoria.
Leg stretch, sip of water, visit the facility.
Nice walk to Nanaimo River if weather permits.
