Hidden gem! This is a must try if you are a burger lover like me! Staff was very welcoming and the owner was super passionate!

Popcorn Chicken is a must try!

Was blown away after eating here for the first time. Spam Musubi, chicken katsu and Korean spicy pork was unreal. Some of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. Can’t wait to come try the rest of their burgers!

UBC STUDENTS. THIS ONE’S FOR YOU! I wanted to gate keep this place, but I decided to tell all my friends about it. It’s so good to the point where I can’t even explain how awesome it is.

1. FOOD IS SIMPLY SOOO DELICIOUS. Their iconic rice burgers became my new favourite burger after trying it A SINGLE TIME. Used to be vegan.now I don’t care because of Rice Burger’s AMAZING popcorn chicken (sorry animals!)

2. WORKERS ARE EXTREMELY KIND! They are super welcoming and they care about each and every person that comes through their door! They’re also very talented in cooking (based on what I ate)!

3. AMAZING DEALS! They have a 10% OFF weekly deal going on! It’s great, especially for UBC students and others who need an affordable meal!

4. They play TV-shows inside! I watched a full episode of Young Sheldon, while I was waiting + eating my delicious food LOL!

PLEASE VISIT THIS PLACE. AS A PICKY EATER, I’M IMPRESSED. 100/10 recommend!

Chill place to grab quick lunch. I did find it difficult to eat their rice burgers because the rice to meat ratio was like 4: 1 and it was super super greasy. But it still tastes good. Their chicken is super good and I recommend trying!

Good potential but a bit underwhelming. I had the spicy chicken katsu rice burger and pork kimchi fries combo which, even with 15% off, was $21 with a can of Sidra.

The kimchi fries were actually quite good and somewhat remincient of the old Bao Down Gastown days, although the pork belly in those was on another level compared to the shredded bulgogi-style pork in Rice Burger's fries.

The rice buger was rather bland, and not at all spicy. It was just the chicken, some coleslaw, and the rice "bun". The rice doesn't taste like there's any seasoning done to it. The chicken was well cooked and a decent size, but lacked any real flavour especially for something labeled as "spicy. " The coleslaw was.coleslaw. Some seasoning on the rice, some actual spicy sauce (a gochujang-based sauce or marinade would be an easy fix) and maybe some simple pepper would go a long way to improving this.

Service was good - they bring the food to your table if you're eating in. Music was generic top-40 radio - I feel like some lo-fi music or hip hop would be a much better fit and give the place some character.

I'm glad I finally got to try it. While it wasn't "bad" I likely won't be back unless I catch some reviews that they've punched up the flavours and seasoning.

We come here often after work when we're in the area and it's one of our favourite lunch spots. The spicy chicken katsu is our favourite, but every meat is amazing.

Rice burger is so good, spicy pork is the way to go. They switched to slaw as a topping, somehow it got better!

The seafood at this restaurant was so fresh and flavorful. I would recommend it to anyone who loves seafood.

Beef Yakiniku was really well marinated, rice on burger was slightly grilled for better holding, service was very friendly and welcoming too! Loved the energy, would definitely come back again.

The burger I ordered was amazing 3 different japanese styles meats with the rice patty for the buns. I highly reccomend.

The only thing I would say is take a couple extra napkins if possible.

Sorry to say but i had such high hopes for this place after seeing videos on tiktok however the food was greasy and it made me and my partner very unwell.

Got a picnic pack, including 4 rice burgers by your selection, 1 box popcorn chicken, and 1 fries, quite delicious, but your guys need to update the price on both outdoor and indoor menu

Never had anything like this and now I want everything like this. First time going to Vancouver and this was my first stop. It set the trip right and on a great note. Great burger and ingredients- left me wanting more. If I ever come back I will def come back here

Very interesting experience, wait time is a little long, and food was tasty. Not exactly worth the price point.

Just discovered this place on a whim and decided to give it a shot cause I thought the concept was really neat.

I got the spicy chicken katsu burger with a kimchi fry.

All together, the food was tasty and I would buy it again, but its not something I would eat on the regular. I liked the sauce the burger came with. It wasnt as spicy as I expected, so if youre looking for something more mild, I would definitely recommend it (I prefer it spicier)
The kimchi fries was interesting. It was definitely spicier than the burger. Ive only ever had kimchi a couple times before so I dont have a good baseline to go from but I enjoyed it. It was definitely different. The fries had pork and corn on them as well. I didnt manage to snap a photo tho.

The price wasnt too bad either. It was under $20 for a filling amount of food. It came with a drink too.

The staff was also really friendly. Will definitely be back again in the future, if I’m ever in the area again.:)

Ordered the Grilled Chicken Teriyaki bowl and was charged $16.05 instead of $14.95. I was told that it's due to inflation and that they just haven't updated the menu. When I checked the price online, on their official website, the price says $14.95.

They clearly overcharged me and are aware of it so I suggest people to beware of this place. I for one ain't coming back and suggest anyone to avoid or at the very least be aware of this.

This place SLAPS. An ex of mine brought me here and still long after he's gone I still gotta come here - it's that good. Wish they had more locations so I could order closer to home. Worth the journey!

It's my first time trying a rice burger. I ordered Chicken Katsu and Korean Spicy Pork today. It was tasty. Chicken Katsu was juicy and crunchy. Korean Spicy Pork was also juicy and the pork was soft. I liked our meals today and will come again soon to try other menu options.

It is such a cool spot! I got the Beef Yakiniku and it was so delicious. I will definitely be back again for more! Definitely recommend checking this cool fusion spot out.

I came here once on a date with my girlfriend and enjoyed the food. A bit of a wait for the food.

Rice Burger is fantastic! The staff is always great the food comes out fast hot and tasty. Chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside and the rice buns are never sticky or dry.

Delicious chicken katsu rice burger. First time trying it and would definitely come back again. Employee at the front counter was extremely friendly and there were public tables outside to eat at. Only downside was that the burger was a bit small.

Great food. The bun is quite a bit of rice, but it's nice crunchy rice like you get at the bottom of a bimbimbop stone bowl. The Kimchi fries were very impressive. This is more of a take out place due to limited seating but it will not disappoint

Portions seem small at first but then you realise that the rice is smushed so it's actually quite a bit, everything tastes really good and is at a pretty good price.

I can't believe how cheap this place is. And the rice burgers are so so good. They have some fried stuff too. One of the guys inside has mega juice. It's like my new favorite restaurant.

The chicken katsu rice burger was delicious. I got it delivered to me, but even then, the patties still maintained their crispy outer-shell and the chicken stayed crunchy. I'll definitely try it in person when I get the chance.

The staff who helped us out is super nice and friendly. They also give free popcorn chicken on Sundays if you spend more than $10.:) The burgers are also less than $10 each and are super filling. Also there is a wide variety of flavours to go with and they are all so good! (We went with Curry Croquette, Beef/Chicken/Pork and Spam Musubi.)

Flavour is amazing. Kimchi fries with pork taste very very good. Burgers were very juicy. Just the rice is a bit thick for me.

This tucked-away shop will catch you by surprise with these light fluffy burgers! Great place to make a pit-stop for grabbing a bite on the go.

The concept of this restaurant is very original and the taste is just as impressive. I had their curry croquette and it was amazing. Highly recommend overall!

Love the fries with corn! The rice burger itself was pretty heavy but tasty, maybe next time I'll ask for a thinner "bun":)

Great food, easy to take with you to the beach. I felt the burgers were a little messy. Don’t know how you would be able to fix that but overall I would go again and I recommend it to try it out!

My husband and I frequently order from Rice Burger as we enjoy supporting local businesses. The staff are always very friendly and kind, and the food is always absolutely amazing. We usually order the spicy chicken katsu combo and kimchi fries with corn and a fried egg, the flavour always exceeds expectations and the food is always fresh. I would recommend this place to anyone. Love you rice burger!

I enjoyed my spicy chicken rice burger very much…the fries were ok and the popcorn chicken was good. Overall, though, it was a tad greasy. Great concept!

Travel 2 hours from poco by transit and it was worth it! Lots of flavour and no disappointment what do ever, I’ll Def be coming back when I’m in the area

Fries are really good. You have to try the japanese mayo and spicy sauce. The burgers are alright in my opinion, when I saw the pictures I imagined the burgers to pack a lot of more flavours. However, unfortunately, the burgers are a little bit more bland than I hoped them to be. Tried every single item on the menu. Definitely worth the try for the novelty effect.

Absolutely delightful, they are out of the ordinary and the flavour and prices are excellent definitely coming back.

Sunday's there is appreciation Sunday for every burgher you buy there is a free 1/2 order of chicken popcorn

Nothing bad too say about this place. Great staff, super friendly and accommodating. Their food is fresh both in ingredients and idea. The crispy rice bun melds perfectly with their meats. A super fun lunch idea for a trip to the beach! The only downside is the location as it’s a bit of a drive if you don’t live in the west end. But their house made sauces will surely make up for that. You can also grab their house marinated meats to go. This place is a must try! Don’t forget to leave your burger in its little cup while you eat, otherwise it’ll fall apart. Enjoy!

This place is delicious. The rice burgers are really good, SO JUICY, and fries are cut perfectly and with the perfect seasoning.
Not sure if it's the owner or the manager, but very nice guy. He says hi as soon as you open the door. Called me boss! Makes you feel appreciated.

Phenomenal spot for cool take on rice burgers and asian fusion! The farmhouse bowl and Spam/Egg burger was on point! The popcorn chicken tasted just like authentic Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Well done!

Took two hours to transit here from surrey with my friend and oh my god was it worth it. I ordered the picnic pack so I got the pork burger and the beef burger, plus popcorn chicken and fries.the food is amazing for the price, burgers are juicy and full of flavours from the marinade (although can get a little messy, it would’ve been nice if there was a hand washing spot somewhere) and the fries + chicken also had delicious seasoning on them as well.will be coming back if I’m in the area

I ordered a rice burger and a rice bowl.
The rice burger was delicious, but it’s a bit small.
The pork in the rice bowl wasn’t fresh, even though the meat was marinaded but I can still tasted the texture of the meat was mushy.

The food tastes really good. I'm not sure why this isn't a common type of restaurant yet, like how you have poke or sushi. I'd love to eat way more rice burgers and their recipes definitely make this unique food combination *work*.
