Ricky's All Day Grill - Parksville

Busyvas heck but they seated quickly and the food came amazingly fast for the busyness of the place. The dish was lukewarm. I sent it back for a reheat and it was back in no time piping hot with some extra sauce! Awesomesauce!

The waitress was so nice and helpful. Really made our dinning experience fantastic. The food was amazing and very tasty.

A few negative reviews *almost* kept us away, but as we were housed in a nearby motel, easy access took over for a lunch break. We were quickly seated and served in spite of it being a holiday Monday and quite busy. Clam chowder was excellent - nice consistency without being overly thick and came with a delicious garlic bun … warm and not too crusty. Milkshake thick and creamy enough that a spoon was required. Shandra our server friendly and efficient. Glad we ignored the one star reviews and gave them a chance … couldn’t have been more pleased with food and service.

Well been before and it was very relaxing but this last time it was a disaster. The excuse was they had a big group in the back and that the restaurant was full. Well you don’t operate that kind of restaurant without adequate staff or don’t take on large groups.
We waited 1 1/2 hours and nothing was coming out of kitchen. Also take out was being handle. All with only 1 kitchen person.
So I guess we will not return.

My partner and I went there on Monday, me it was my first time and I was impressed. The food was very good and our server, Brianna, was great, fast service, and friendly, as the Terminator would say: I'll be back!

Best food in Parksville. Happy hours are so good. Clean restaurant, excellent staff and ultra excellent food and prices. Love going to Ricky's.

I was reluctant to go as l went 3 years ago and it was not good.
I heard it has improved so l checked it out.
The hostess was friendly and welcoming.
My coffee was very good as was my Monte Cristo sandwich.
My friend had the chicken noodle soup and she said it was very salty however. I tasted it and yes too salty
I will go again.

Always pleasant staff. I’m a steak lover and I’m hesitant on ordering a steak at a restaurant as it’s usually underwhelming and tasteless. This time however, I was pleasantly surprised. The temperature was dead on and flavouring was good. Will return again in the future.

Dined in, as a local and for many here who often go out for dinner, the quality of the product is declining. All four who dined recently in our party were disappointed in their meals. One who had liver and onions was disappointed in the quality of the dinner, although a plentiful plate but lacking in a vegetable variety, only carrots and a few small broccoli florets were served on the plate with the main. A second guest who had the califresco salad was also disappointed in any optional alternative vinegarette dressings, in addition to the quality of the salad ingredients itself. For diner #3 at our table who had the lasange as their choice found it very tomatoey, too much sauce and no identifiable meat chunks within. All were good-sized portions though. Diner #4 had the 8 oz steak and while it had good flavour and waS cooked to the requested done- ness, was disappointed that at least 4 of the 8ounces were not edible due to the amountof gristle and fat. Our waiter was fabulous and we are always glad when we are seated in his section. The menus are looking a bit worse for wear these days and could use with both a physical freshening up as well as some new dishes to be rotated in. Bring in more topping options for burgers, more salads, and more vinegarette dressing options. We go out to have something different that we don't make at home. We'd love to see some new options on the menu or a few things prepared with a twist. We were so glad to have a new general type cuisine restaurant establishment join Parksville and are looking forward to some updates to its menu soon.

Service was nice and friendly but the food was not good at all felt pretty sick afterwards I ordered the fish and chips the fish was all oil couldn't taste anything but that the colsaw had almost no dressing yet it was my favorite part of what I ordered so that's saying a lot this was supposed to be my early birthday meal/present from my family yet the debit machine rejected our card 4 times so I ended up having to pay for my own birthday meal really really regret going here

I was contacted by the manager after i had a bit of a unpleasent experience. Slava corrected the issue and made up for it and made sure my meal was perfect.

Nice restaurant on the interior one of the nicer ones I have seen (which is why the extra star). When I ordered coffee they gave me only half cup as they didn’t have any at that time which I would expect there should always be some brewing by the time I got it my first bit was cold. The service was ok but had to ask for all the small items that should have been brought in the first place…onion rings were great.

Worst French Toast I have ever had. It came as literally dry bread, it had less than a teaspoon of egg on each side of the toast. 90% dry toast and a tiny spot the size of a loonie with a tiny bit of egg on it, I sent it back as it was not french toast, it came back the exact same way. The service was ok, but the food was awful, I wouldnt reccommend this place to anyone. How does the cook not know how to make french toast in a breakfast restaurant. Sad! Smittys in Parksville is 100% better than the Rickys in Parksville. Avoid at all costs!

It was my client's birthday and I wanted to treat him to dinner. He had the fish/shrimp and chips which is a big meal and I had a one piece fish and chips and we were very happy with our meals. Coleslaw is important to us and it was good. So many restaurants have awful coleslaw, don't seem to think it is important. Their french fries are good also, also tartar sauce. I have another client's birthday coming up and he is bedridden and loves fish and chips so I will be getting takeout for him from Ricky's. I was trying to think of where the best place to get it for them here might be and this made up my mind. We have had a couple of not so good experiences there in the past but lately everything we try is very good and service is good as well.

Its like the Dennys of Canada. Breakfast all day was good and speedy. The place is usually full.

Love it here lots of options for anytime dining. Had yam fries, onion rings, vegetarian burgers. They have lots of drinks and bottomless pop, ice tea. Its along the island highway in parksville. Thier close to tigh-na-mara hotel and other hotels in area. Its got a relax non rushed atmosphere. Tv's &bar etc. I added menu's in the pictures below

Recently went in here for dinner. I was greeted by a very friendly hostess, and found me a nice place to sit. The meal was at my table in less than a half hour of placing the order. Great job! The server Eve was incredible, and even checked on me after the food was served (several times). Thank you for the wonderful experience, I will be back.

Good prices, good food, great service.
What more could you ask for from a family restaurant.
I had their clubhouse sandwich with French fries for lunch. The other 2 that I was dining with, one had the Monte Cristo with fries and my other friend had 2 pieces of fish with fries. All of us left very satisfied. Next time I'll order the fish & chips, it looked very good with 2 huge pieces of fish.

Great choices, delicious fare. Even delighted our granddaughter! A special attraction is the sand sculpture outside for the summer.

This restaurant is not family friendly. The male manager is particularly overt about his contempt for kids.

My 5 stars is to the waitress that served us last evening (Sunday Aug 16th, 6pm). We were in a hurry to go to Nanoose and she help us getting our meal on time.

The food was good quality but little for presentation. Service was disappointing during this visit but prior visits have been great.

We had a very disappointing dinner tonight at Ricky's. First our drinks took forever and when they did come the coffee was not hot and the pop was flat. I ordered a beef dip and the bun was burnt and my fries were old and over done. My husband had the fish and chips and his fish had so much oil in it he could barely eat it. We are regulars at this restaurant normally we go for breakfast or lunch and the food is always amazing and the staff is also amazing, we won't be back at dinner time. I am not sure if there was a new cook or if there is something wrong with the deep fryer.

Great serving lady. Sexy and efficient. Good wifi. Wanted to download the nee He-Man series off Netflix. Food was decent.

Sorry to say the food wasn't great, the bun for my burger was falling apart. Old and stale, the fries are exactly like McCain frozen. Always a pass now.

The menu had a a good variety of items to choose from. We enjoyed the light menu cheese bacon burger with soup and a chocolate shake with yam fries. They were all nummy!

We had such a good time here! The portions are soooo generous and the flavours are delicious! Service was also top notch!

Comparing to other Rickys restaurants this location gets five stars every time. Great food and great service.

Very surprised they actually make their own hollandaise, and two flavours. I am a cook, I can tell.

Im a vegetarian. I ordered the veg breakfast bowl with mushrooms instead of tomato.
The fresh avocado was great
The hashbrowns had perfectly seasoned fried onions and red peppers.

Our server Hannah was very down to earth, friendly, prompt and accurate with our order. Never waited too long for coffee refills or our food, which she rang in quickly.

Had the Calefresco salad and my Lady had the BLT salad. I also ordered black coffee for myself and tea and cream for my Lady. First, the coffee and tea came without the tea bag and cream. Ok, no biggy. But my coffee was so old it was horribly bitter that I could not drink it.
Since my Lady is Gluten Sensitive specifically ordered her chicken to be grilled and not breaded. Breaded chicken came but not with her salad but mine.

Our first time at this location. I was not impressed. My Clubhouse was put together with very little care and there were some kind of fuzzies all over my bread. The owners didn't seem to want to make it right as they never called me back. We wont be going back again

Great place. The food was amazing. Staff was very friendly. Lots of parking. Worth the drive if you live in Nanaimo. The Nanaimo Ricky's are disgusting compared to this location. Well atleast the last time I went to a Nanaimo location they were. And I haven't bin back. Highly recommend Parksville Ricky's.

47 minutes for myself and a friend to receive our food today. Table of 6 was sat after us, fed and left prior to this happening. I'm hoping it let's me post the picture of the plainest 4 pieces of french toast and the side of butter that all that waiting was for. My friend ordered bacon and eggs. 47 mins! Called and informed management. Blown away that no compensation was offered. Either time. My friend bought so I wasnt about to ask, I just feel terrible for him! What a waste of money. Eat elsewhere to avoid dissapointment!

Good food and service in a surprisingly relaxing environment. Are waitress Brianna was a pleasure to deal with. Only in town for a few days but will definitely having a few meals there while we're here.

We have had great experiences until today. We walked in for lunch with 4 kids- the youngest under the age of two. They put us in a back room- i figured because of the kids chatting and whatnot. We ordered our drinks and some appetizers the kids were talking at a reasonable level with the exception of the baby which is under two letting out a few happy squeals. Noone was arguing, screaming or being unreasonably loud- especially for being isolated to the back of the restaurant. A man approached the room we were in and asks us to keep it down. The only person making any amount of noise was my baby! When our waitress comes back I asked her who the man was and she informed me he was the manager! We ate our food, paid our bill and my husband asked to talk to that same manager. The manager then told my husband that he stands behind his comment and we should have control of our child. Our child that is under 2, that was sitting in a highchair, laughing and giggling with her brother and sister. She needed to be more quiet. Ive never known a 2 year old to disrupt a restaurant without even throwing a tantrum. After paying our $112 bill we were told to leave. I will never be back.

Salad was excellent, chicken was seasoned and cooked perfect. Tammy, the server was attentive and friendly. Restaurant was clean, I would recommend dining here.

Always clean, good service and food has been consistently tasty. Glad Parksville has another dining option.

I had dinner here twice, first time the food was grossly undercooked the second the food had a garbage like taste indicating it was not fresh. I know it's very popular for breakfast/brunch/lunch but stay away for dinner.

This was my favorite place to eat in Parksville until today. The owner asked us to leave while the restaurant was empty 'cause we had been there for a long lunch meeting. We were actually planning to continue our meeting over dinner.but as you can imagine.no more appetite after feeling that unwelcomed! Had he simply asked.ladies, how was your lunch and are you planning to stay with us for dinner? How simple it could have been to be thankful and inviting instead of dismissing and risk losing 2 very regular clients. I am speechless.

I wish they had more drink options there. I get that it’s a family restaurant but I think it’s a missed opportunity to make more money and offer customers more options

FINALLY! A nice, clean, family friendly restaurant in Parksville. The menu is quite extensive and the food is delicious with very reasonable prices. Nicely presented and the service is very friendly and attentive. This restaurant was recommended to me by a "very fussy" friend and she was right to do so. I will also be recommending it to everyone I know who likes to get out for a delicious and affordable meal once in awhile.

Extremely clean and the food was fantastic as usual. Excellent service by friendly staff. The kids just love this place!

Our family enjoyed a very good dinner together last evening. The restaurant was clean, service was great, food was piping hot and delicious and COVID protocols were safely in place. We were not keeping track of time and realized that the restaurant had closed and no one told us to hurry up or anything.so thank you for that Ricky's.it made our evening a pleasant one!

We had the radical burger.best to SHARE! It is big, and YUMMY! Pals had veal cutlets and turkey dinner. Everyone was impressed. Way to go, Ricky’s!

So far so good! Ordered the king burger which was a true 8oz burger. Also had the soup. I'll change my summary if we leave unhappy ️

Over priced worst ceasers ever my hubby's steak was like eating a work boot.not impressed $87.00 for a sandwich.spinach salad and soup one steak and 2 ceasers

Wife and daughter went for a meal. Wife ordered meatless stir fry as she loved it 2 times before at same location. However, this time it came to the table as rice soup. Need a straw with that? She or I never complain about food. However, this time it stood out because no compensation was offered. Not sure if we will be back. Another chain restaurant with mediocre food.
