Ricky's All Day Grill - Evergreen

Unlike other reviews, we found the service to be outstanding. My coffee was never empty and the food was delicious. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large.

Food is excellent here. Really great service and my Family really enjoys it here. We have not been at Ricky's for awhile.

I came here last week for the first time and my experience was absolutely incredible, Cordell was my server he was very efficient and polite, he gave us literally the best service.

Ricky's is a SLEPT ON breakfast place!

My fam & I were in the area looking for somewhere to go for breakfast and saw Ricky's and decided to give it a try. We immediately greeted by the hostess then taken to our table, no wait time at all. Our server then came to us and notice we had two young children and immediately engaged with them.

The food is surprisingly delicious! I'm not a waffle person but I've been raving about their waffles to my friends who are all surprised that it's from Ricky's! My husband and daughter both had the chicken & waffles and both enjoyed it. My son had his tried and true, grilled cheese and of course he loved it too.

Overall, we love this place not only for the exceptional service, but food and price too!

Hello. I do not recommend this place the food is good. But the amount of food you get and the amount that is charged is really a ripoff. And the service is really poor. Don't go here. McDonald's is really a better deal.

Good breaky place, and otherwise diner style rest of the menu. The people working are always friendly. The decor is dated and it feels dark overall, so not too exciting.

Our server Cordell was incredibly welcoming right off the bat and friendly throughout our entire dining experience. He checked in with us to make sure our breakfast was going well and he was quick to respond to any requests re: refills, condiments, cutlery. Food tasted great as well, my compliments to the kitchen staff.

Came here after a VERY disappointing visit to De Dutch across the street.

Service was outstanding from seating to settling up. Super friendly and attentive, checking in with us promptly for drinks, order, and satisfaction.

I had the Grand Forks breakfast and was allowed to substitute my toast for another pancake easily!

Thanks for making our Sunday lunch a positive experience after a rough attempt with De Dutch.

It's always so cold in this restaurant makes u want ur food served quickly so u don't freeze the food is certainly up to Ricky's standards their chicken tenders are amazing and their tomato basil soup are must haves for sure service is friendly and kind especially to the elders who visit we've seen remarkable patience among the service staff but why is it so cold in here? And it has happened more then once and I'm not a senior and I still find it cold in there

What happened tonight? Been to many Ricky's, this one in particular many times, all with very good experiences UNTIL TONIGHT. Brought my Wife, her Mom & Aunt in for dinner. Restaurant was maybe 10% full @ 6. Meals slow to arrive, coffee refills much slower, had to go ask, found 3 servers chatting at the counter. A small portion liver & onions arrived (last) as an onion soup. It was sent back & we waited for the true order to arrive as the 3 other meals grew cold. The liver & onions finally arrived. When the bill was presented the liver & onions was charged at the larger size. *Dissapointed

My friends and I came here for brunch. Our server Tara C.was nothing short of amazing. One of our friends from Florida was visiting and she made him feel so welcome and she genuinely made our experience here 1000/10. She was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Tara you slayed we love you?

Came in for breakfast today and was not thrilled with the service. I completely understand being understaffed and busy, as I’ve been a waitress/bartender for years. But our waitress walked passed our table several times without checking in if we needed anything. She proceeded to have nice chats with other tables. Which is totally fine! But she said she said she was super busy and frazzled when I mentioned how I wasn’t super happy with the service. We had to stop the host for extra napkins, sauce and a drink srefill. I wouldn’t normally write a review but I did mention to the waitress my thoughts and she was pretty dismissive.

We've been happy regulars for 20 years, and supported them through the pandemic. But recently the quality of the food and service has taken a nosedive. I drive and place my take out orders in person, so I can get the food home as hot as possible. Two orders in a row have been short items, and worse, the food is undercooked and the portions smaller than usual. I get that they've had staff turn over - but undercooked food is a line I have to draw. Everyone has a bad day, but clearly I'm choosing the wrong day.

Outrages prices for the food. Place also smells like straight up cleaning supplies. Even with the specials you arent really getting a good deal. $8 for a few chicken fingers nothing else or $8 for a few dumplings. Anything else is 15-20+. Couldn't smell anything but cleaning supplies and place was dead so couldnt determine and wasn't ordering anything to determine if it was fresh or frozen (menu was huge + older crowd so probably frozen food). Stay away and go anywhere else

I enjoyed coming here for dinner, and for my 35 birthday, and I had a blast. The waitress that took my order was very, and friendly. I had a blast with my family there on my birthday.

I now come here once a mouth now with the Meet Up Groups that play board European games, and Catan.

I use to go to Toby's pub in Vancouver to play board games, but it closed down due to cov-19 and they change it to a liquor store instead of a pub because not enough business there.

I glad that there is one close for me in Surrey to go to then goingall the way to Vancouver.

Rickys has a nice quiet back room for events to host with family or get together on long weekends or Thanksgiving, Christmas parties, Easter, and birthdays.

Awesome food here and good service! The owner started off as a dishwasher and is also the chef! The location is clean and welcoming, thanks for a good experience. Great BBQ burger by the way

Good old Ricky's. With so many trendy brunch spots charging $25+ for a decent amount of food, Ricky's will serve you twice as much food for $18. Great for a traditional breakfast that leaves you full for hours.

They're trying very hard with all the new and changing mandates. Staff seem overwhelmed and service was extremely slow with a nearly empty dining room - but they're trying!

PROFILING! I cannot believe you refused service to my boyfriend after a single beer during our lunch. We had already been waiting for proper service for well over an hour and you have the audacity to claim he could be a drunken liability after one beer in the middle of us eating? This was absolutely a targeted attack towards a poc and based off his/our appearances. The “general manager” profiled us and absolutely ruined our visit and we will never be returning.

Called ahead early to find out if they had tables available. Lady on the phone said "not busy come in we have lots of empty tables" arrived 5 mins later only to wait to write our name down in a 20 min

Very good avocado toast! And amazing tasting house salad dressing. Very good service and coffee top ups. It was my birthday breakfast so they offered a very tasty dessert! It tasted delicious!

Ordered 2 blackened chicken and pasta today for pick up in this location. When I got home (just 3-5minutes drive) the chicken looked like it was grilled or pan fried for like 2 minutes and was just thrown on top of the pasta. The other one is the same, but this one had parsley on it. It so bland and dry. I never write a review, it’s just sad because I always order this but the one in central city location. And they’re blackened chicken and pasta is really good. I guess different standards? (Oh I have pictures)

Honestly.the waiter we had seemed spaced out. Another waitress was excellent though. The food was meh.

My dad and I used to come to this location all the time but then for awhile the quality had gone down, but we started going recently and you guys have really steeped up your game, the food has been excellent and the service has been fantastic. Also, the new hollandaise sauce you use is great, 100x better than your old one.

I took my elderly parents there for breakfast. The staff and food were awesome. The hostess was super friendly to talk with as we were visiting from another province!

The only reason I'm giving this location 3 stars is because our waitress basically ignored us the entire time. She went to every other booth except ours.

I had to get up and ask someone (who i assume is a manager) where our waitress was because we had been waiting 10+ minutes for someone to take our order.

Other than that I haven't had a bad experience with rickys and I do recommend their breakfast menu.

Great menu, food was delicious, and staff are very friendly. Vegan options. Staff aware of food sensitivities. Great place to go after shopping.

Came here with five people and everyone was disappointed. The other guys got a breakfast scramble type of dish and asked them to add mushroom and got charged $4 each for a mouthful of canned mushrooms added to their dish. We got charged for mayo for the fries as well which is weird when they give you entire bottles of ketchup and mustard. I asked for my burger to have a lettuce wrap instead of a bun and they just plopped the burger on a big piece of lettuce and then the toppings and put a seperate piece of lettuce on top for a lettuce bun. I asked for a lettuce wrap though, not a lettuce bun, and the menu said lettuce wrap as well so I don't get why it would be so difficult. Having worked in a burger restaurant I know that lettuce wraps are annoying but not difficult. I've also had the poutine here before and couldn't even finish it. The people I was with told me that this location used to be amazing but the owner sold it to his staff and they started cheaping out on everything and lowering standards. Not coming back here again.

The food was good overall. We especially enjoyed our dessert -> the chocolate chimichanga. The restaurant has a nice, family-friendly vibe and after our meal, our kids enjoyed picking a gift from the treasure chest.

The missed stars were for our food taking extra long (we waited for ~30mins) and for our server (who was very nice and polite) not telling us about the comfort cravings menu. It was our first time to try Ricki's and when we discovered the comfort cravings menu after we ordered, we were quite disappointed because there were items on it that we wanted to try.

I usually like Ricky's but this location was a disappointment. It wasn't busy but yet service was slow and waiter was not very friendly and standoffish. Our food finally came and it was bland and also a black hair on my plate. I should have said something but I didn't want the hassle.

Food is always great, relaxed family environment. The waitresses are always friendly and accommodating especially with our hyper toddler. My kids love how they have little games u can play while waiting for food. Also kids get a prize from the treasure box after eating. Cute little trinkets. I highly recommend this restaurant and the Fleetwood location is the best. They never mess up our order.

I used to go here every year for Christmas brunch until the tradition died out but man oh man is this a good place to eat food.

Good ideas, really bad executuon. The burgers have no sauce from my experience, thus makes a really, overloading taste of cheese and, grease. I did skip the dishes. The sweet potato fries and the chicken tenderloins are ok. But really disappointed on the burger

First people that came after us were getting their food before us. My Blackstone Breakie Bowl had raw bacon in it and my Granddaughter found a hair in her Breakfast.

I booked a reservation in November for 20 people for today at 930am. Called last night to confirm the reservation and change the number to 15. Arrived at 920am to find that they'd given our table away due to neighbourhood power outages. Manager is rude and did nothing for us. Who gives away a reservation? What a mickey mouse operation! Pathetic.

I like to support local businesses. Ricky's has been in the BC market for a number of years now. My parents and siblings used to go to this location but we stopped because my parents weren't happy with the food.
On this occasion I visited with my kids as I figured time could have made this place grow.
To my relief the service was up to par. My girls were happy with their meals and the treasure box provided at the end of the meal.
My side of things were a little more disappointing when it came to the food. My youngest ordered a hot chocolate for beverage. It was delivered quickly but with what I consider to be a major flaw. It was served on a clear glass that allowed me to spot a lump of powder cocoa. I stirred the drink before my daughter could notice.
The food was mediocre at best perhaps it was the initial experience with the hot chocolate that set me up to expect better. Perhaps it was my parents opinion many years ago.
All I know is it may be a number of years before I give Ricky's another opportunity.

Poorest customer service I have ever received. I placed an order off skip the dishes app and didn't receive all my items. On the website it states "The restaurant is responsible for preparing and packaging your food.  If something is incorrect or you have feedback, please let us know and we will work with the restaurant to make things right. " I called Rickys and the employee let me know it's not their responsibility as they don't have a driver. I let them know the details online and left my name and number for a manager to call me. 3 hours go by and no phone call, I call in and an employee states the manager is busy and will get to me when they can. My food is cold and missing items and I am not a priority? Anyways, a manager called me 26 and a half hours later the next day to talk about my order. I hung up the phone as they aren't worth my time.
