Ridge Meadows Maternity Clinic

Not a good clinic for patients with complex issues or high risk really. My experience so far not good and I have medical trauma and very bad ptsd with hospitals, doctors and clinics in general and have lost all hope in the medical system actually especially after my last pregnancy and losing my son in April. It seems no doctor is understanding in medical trauma and ptsd unless specialized because it takes all my will power and everything in me to go only to be treated like I don’t matter and my problems I’m having are made up I wish for so many like me to get the treatment they need and not scared to ask for help and be scared that they won’t take care of the baby putting all your trust into a doctor or clinic is hard and I’ve lost all hope in this because of this clinic I will no longer go anywhere out here I hope to find proper care before I end up with no doctor to help deliver and as I progress that seems slim to find even a family doctor to trust not to mention a clinic full of them having to explain your life every visit.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the entire medical team for their outstanding and professional care during my nine months of pregnancy till delivery. The receptionist Sheryl kindness, warmth and efficient assistance also made every visit a positive and comforting experience.

I was nervous moving cities in the middle of my pregnancy and having to switch maternity clinics but I was pleasantly surprised by this clinic, the fantastic female doctors that work here and the hospital I birthed at.

My pregnancy had many ups and downs and they were very attentive to every detail. The staff is caring and makes you feel very welcome/comfortable. Thankful I ended up here to birth my beautiful baby boy and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.

Receptionist is rude and condescending. Doctors are great and caring although I waited an hour for my appointment. After my experience I would highly recommend you don’t go here solely because of the receptionist.

Great doctors. Worst receptionist I have ever encountered in my life. Very rude and argumentative. Doesn’t answer phone. Doesn’t return calls. I left a voicemail every single day to book a follow up appointment as requested by the doctor that delivered my baby. Left my name and number and never received a call back. When I finally got a hold of her today she said she always returns calls and proceeded to argue with me. Even though I got a hold of her she still didn’t schedule a follow up with me and it’s supposed to be for tomorrow. She told me to call and leave a message tomorrow. I don’t see what for since no one returns calls at the clinic. I don’t understand why this person still has a job there when she doesn’t do her basic job duties. She is very rude and it’s just sad that pregnant women have to deal with this kind of an attitude during their pregnancy. If you can go elsewhere, do.

Do Not Use this place. What is wrong with their reception? Worst service I’ve ever seen. Literally ridiculous. Will never go here and recommend you all stay away.

Receptionist is HORRIBLE.extremely rude! For that reason I will never go there. This is supposed to be a happy time, I don’t need to be treated the way she treated me.

Receptionist is AWFUL! It’s a shame after reading all these reviews this lady is still working at this clinic. No complaints other then the receptionist

Staff are lovely! My first pregnancy and I’m very happy with my experiences there so far. I’m 8 months in and I’ve met a couple doctors and they are all amazing!

Had a great experience here, met all the doctors and they were kind and knowledgeable. Felt I was in good hands my entire pregnancy. Especially happy with Dr. Konkin who ended up delivering my healthy, beautiful daughter.

The receptionist is great as well, she is pleasant, wasn’t rude, and is just doing her job. I would take any bad reviews with a grain of salt as it sounds like these people are either being Karens or don’t know how medical offices work/understand the limitations of what a receptionist can do or tell you over the phone.

I really enjoyed going to Ridge Meadows Maternity Clinic during both of my pregnancies. I appreciate the care I received from all the doctors. I saw Dr. Connor for most of my visits, she is so knowledgeable and caring. She always made me feel comfortable and at ease with any concerns. Dr. Barredo is also amazing. My husband and I arrived at the hospital with only 5 minutes to spare before our 2nd was born! She jumped into action and took such good care of us. And I also want to thank Cheryl, she always greeted me with a smile and very accommodating when booking appointments. I can't say enough good things about this place! 100% recommended:)

Saw Dr. Connor for the majority of my pregnancy and she was so kind, although she didn't deliver my baby, Dr. Marais did and he was equally as kind. Their bedside manner was impeccable.

I loved the receptionist Cheryl (Sheryl?), so I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about - she's kind and funny. She accommodated all the appointments I needed as I worked late and she helped walk me through filling out the hospital forms and other documents. I actually miss seeing her on a monthly/bi-weekly/weekly basis lol

Great Doctors & Great receptionist don't get twisted by the negative reviews this is a great place to start your journey

The receptionist absolute rude… I am surprised with how much complaints and bad reviews about her … but what I not surprised with is all reviews are true.

I have a very positive experience with this maternity clinic. The doctors are terrific and are very helpful with my pregnancy. I just want to thank Sheryl for being so accommodating. She is very nice person and Ive witness her professionalism on the phone. Keep it up everyone. Your all awesome!

Had a wonderful experience here with Dr A Koks and the staff are great too! The receptionist goes above and beyond to help and I can only image what a stressful job that is for everyone.

Very poor service.staff is not helping or friendly at all. This clinic is not busy but receptionist does not want to work at all. Very lazy. They could not convey our message to the doctor at all. So many other bad reviews but i gave it try. Now switched to other clinic. Dr is good but staff is not.wont recommend.

My pregnancy experience was very much enjoyable with this clinic. Dr Kok is the best. She delivered my baby - I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor or doctor approach - very attentive, calm, knowledgeable and professional. My husband and I were blown away with the level of treatment we got during the delivery of our baby as well as pre- and post-natal visits.

Breastfeeding appointments were especially helpful when dealing with engorgement and breastfeeding. After seeing some emergency care doctors over the weekend for mastitis - seeing Dr Kok was such a relieve. Turns out it is possible to deal with mastitis WITHOUT antibiotics like most of the other doctors with think. I received so many controversial advices from other walk-in clinics whether to apply heat or cold/massage or not massage and how/pump or not to pump, etc - but Dr Kok helped me beautifully with this problem.

As for the receptionist lady - I cannot say that Sheryl was rude or unprofessional. She was always friendly and helpful to us. We always had our phone calls taken or returned. I don’t understand where all the negative reviews are coming from - pregnancy hormones possibly? I was there to get professional help during pregnancy and safely deliver my baby - not to make friends.

I really like this place. Doctors are on the ball! People complaining about the receptionist, this woman is BUSY and she's killing it.

Receptionist is on some other level. She thinks she is a doctor herself. She has zero efforts to help the customers. She do not want to work at all and have no helping nature. I will never go back to the clinic because of the receptionist. She convey no message, you have to call to get the update. Pregnancy is one of the most important thing and i would take no chances. Did not had much experience with doctors so i am neutral about her. But reception has some serious attitude issues.

If I could give zero stars I would. Have yet to be treated as a decent human being. As a person in the trans community whom carried my kids naturally the lack of respect for my pronouns is a major problem. The receptionist is not friendly at the best of times. Can't even bring my daughter because of covid and I have no childcare. On top of that I'm being pushed into getting vaccinated against my wishes. Pretty pathetic service avoid coming here at all costs.

I used this clinic for both of my high risk pregnancies up until transfer to OBGYN at 30 weeks both times (because of being high risk) for my daughter in 2018/2019 and my son in 2020/2021. All staff were excellent. Dr. Konkin went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and my needs were met. The receptionist was very patient and dealt with my crazy schedule and was always accomodating and highly educated in all things maternity. The building is clean and quiet. Having seen the clinic both pre and during covid the measures they took to make sure not only patients but staff stayed safe were top notch. 100% would highly recommend. If i planned on having anymore children i would go back in a heartbeat.

I have never had a bad experience with Dr. Marais, he has always had amazing bed side manner. We have come back to him for each of my pregnancies as I would never feel more comfortable seeing anyone else. For the past 12 years, and 4 children later I’ve always trusted him.

He has taken such care and concern for each pregnancy and babies afterwards. Any concerns I’ve had he has jumped to help me feel comfortable and explained any complications with great detail. My most recent pregnancy I had issues with a hernia as well as some early pregnancy hemorrhaging. I was so worried and in pain and he accommodated me and helped me through it calming my anxieties and worries. I highly recommend Dr. Marais and wish that he just continue being my doctor forever! Myself and my family are very fond of him and we were and always will be so greatful for the care we’ve received. He has become like an extended family member to us.

Saw br. Marais.told me nothing about what to do or eat. I had to find out from other people that there are foods I can't eat or even change my litterbox. I had to request tests just by hear say. I asked about results he said all good. I asked 4 my results to be sent to my gp. In a matter of an hour my gp called in panic. I was tested positive for toxoplasmosis.dr. Marais simly neglected to review my tests results from 4 weeks before.when I called him wouldn't even call back and asked secretary to tell me he discussed it with me.when?

My wife called them after she had a miscarriage and not only did they fail to schedule an appointment for her, they also blamed her for the miscarriage. I don't know how to complain about this to the ministry of health to get the staff fired here.
