Their turkey vegetable pie is absolutely amazing, prices have gone up a little bit it's a worthwhile treat and is two meals for myself for under $20. Very friendly staff, accommodating and chatty! Tons of selection of different meats if you're looking for buffalo, lamb etc along with the regular beef, pork and chicken options. They also have frozen perogies. Stuffed potatoes, sandwich meats and lots of spices, sauces etc. And there's lots of little markets like Donalds within a block to pick up everything else you need for groceries, bonus free parking lot which is amazing for Vancouver, just around the block in the back.

Happened across this little shop and wow what a gem! Friendly staff, wonderful selection, great prices. I wish this little shop was in my hometown as I wouldn't shop anywhere else for meats and such. 100% recommend shopping here.

Like the name suggests, this is indeed a very friendly establishment and I’m so glad they’re still around. My daughter and husband go here a lot and after a hard morning today I needed to grab some easy dinner supplies and a kind associate helped me find the last two tortierre pies way in the back of their freezer. Made a difference in my day!

Wonderful local family butcher / meats shop. Super fresh, super incredible friendly and nice. Prices very reasonable for super high quality meats! Sausages are seasoned wonderfully, and BBQ with tons of juicy flavour. Lamb burgers are awesome. Definitely will go back often!

Best meat shop in East Vancouver. Friendly knowledgeable staff make it my daily stop for fresh meats.

Prices are good but did see them wrap up some chicken breast with a piece of butchers paper that fell on the ground wax side down.

I really wanted to love this place BC it was highly recommended but the 2x I've been their I bought half a dozen of mouldy meat pies. Apparently, their fridge broke down and they tried to short changed me from a $50 after buying a $6 dog bone the second time. These guys are a couple of old gangsters who need to retire. I don't even want to think where they actually get their meat from. Perhaps they should be called.unfriendly meats alternatively.

Rio Friendly Meats have been serving top quality meats for decades at this location alone. Eddy and Jim and their friendly staff call you by name in this old school, family operation. Some great specials to save you money, the high quality meat is worth the marginally higher cost. In this case, you definitely get what you pay for. Freezer items include tasty pies, fruit or other. Marinated ribs are great on the grill, as are variety of sausages. Deli meats available, cheese, eggs, etc.

First time patronizing Rio Friendly meats today and already looking forward to returning soon. Very friendly staff and the andouille sausage I purchased is fresh and extremely tasty.

Very friendly staff, great quality meats and great deals and reasonable prices. Have lived in the hastings sunrise area for my whole life and this place has been here ever since I remember, reason they are still in business. FIRST CLASS PLACE.
