Absolutely love this place, they have the most epic breakfast sandwich with locally sourced everything! So delicious. The staff are fabulous and always so welcoming. I’ve been coming here for years and there are people who have been working at River City the whole time. Such a rare find in any hospitality business.

Their coffee always comes home with me for the days I can’t make it in for a cup in person. It’s the best in town and is roasted in PR. Support local, get a breakfast sandwich and check out this chill spot! You can’t go wrong, and if you’re a gluten free person you’ll be blown away by their bakery.

Had an amazing chicken salad, and all these gorgeous bakery goods! Fantastic, and kind service. The food is top shelf, freshly made, beautifully presented.

No prices advertised for hot drinks and baked goods. Feels dishonest. When I asked staff, they didn’t know either and had to look through their system. I use to love River City but service isn’t the same anymore and the numerous price increases lately are really turning me off. $15 for a medium latte and a croissant. Love to support local but I can’t afford to support local at that price.

The coffee & baking were fine, and the atmosphere is nice and spacious, but the prices are very high and it's annoying/obnoxious that they don't list any of their prices on their menu.

Great place with the most excellent coffee and best breakfast burrito. So delicious. When we visit Powell River we always make sure to stop by just for that.
Overall nice and comfy atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff, great pastries and a lot of vegetarian and vegan choices on the menu - something worth emphasising as it can be a challenge to find great vegetarian options elsewhere in town.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Powell River and stumbled upon a hidden gem that I just had to share my experience about. As someone who follows a gluten-free and dairy-free diet, finding accommodating restaurants can be quite a challenge. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a place that not only catered to my dietary needs but exceeded my expectations in every way possible.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by one of the owners, who happened to be one of the friendliest individuals I have ever encountered. He explained he has the same dietary restrictions so they try to go above and beyond in this area. To my delight, he even offered me a complimentary muffin, which was absolutely delicious and made me feel incredibly welcomed.

Not only did the owner provide exceptional service, but he also shared valuable recommendations for other gluten-free restaurants in the area. This level of thoughtfulness and genuine care truly made me feel like a valued customer.

Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, it was outstanding! The menu had a wide variety of gluten-free and dairy-free options, making it a paradise for someone like me. Each dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavors, and beautifully presented. It was evident that the chefs put a lot of love and attention into every plate they served.

Aside from the incredible food, the atmosphere of the restaurant was simply delightful. The funky and cute decor created a warm and inviting ambiance that made me feel right at home. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and soak in the unique charm of Powell River.

If you find yourself in Powell River, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed!

I so appreciate River City Coffee and their kind and excellent service and products. I only buy my coffee beans from them and am always so impressed by how they remember me and what I like. They are so friendly, thoughtful and work to make my experience so positive.

This is THE place to go in Powell River for great food, amazing flavour and healthy choices! Hard to find in a small town but this is big city cuisine with local flair. The team at River City is superb - the service is excellent and the atmosphere is second to none.

Love River City Coffee! I don't lived in three area, but every time we're in town this is one of our first stops. Awesome coffee, awesome staff and the weekly menu is always delicious. I bring home some of their beans regularly so we're never without the liquid gold.
