River City Pub & Patio

No locals left which is sad, lived in Revelstoke for 20 years and have only seen 1 person I know the last few times I have been back. And I only moved 3 years ago.

From Nakusp. Stop there everytime we go through town. And, we love it! Great, chill atmosphere. Always good food, service and usually hit the music up at the right time.

Food was not very good and we were both poorly the following day. Staff however were very good

Never got a chance to try the food walked out after sitting for 15 +minutes without getting service
All the employees are too busy chatting with each other to take an order 0/10 wouldn't waste your time

Went here while staying in Revelstoke and loved it. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere was laid back. The freeway was shut down due to an accident, which made the place super busy with people stuck in Revelstoke. This made the wait times for food and drinks longer than anticipated. But you can't fault them for that. Will visit them again when in the area. Lasagna was amazing!

I don’t think they know how to make fish and chips here. Both times they cooked it for me the batter was uncooked in the middle because they simply put way too much of it. And the batter outside was overcooked and crusty. The fish was over cooked too the second time around.

2 stars because the waitress was really nice and didn’t charge me for the fish.

Waited 40 minutes for the waitress to come to our table, then was condescending about bringing us drinks, Made our trip to revelstoke not very welcoming

Called aheadto the hotel and asked to speak to the river city pub. I asked the bartender for happy hour prices and specifically asked if draft cider was included and was told it is. Showed up and ordered a happy hour cider and was told there is no happy hour cider. Would have gone somewhere else but am with a group and didn't want to call around and miss happy hour, know your menu and your specials.

Great food. Lots of people stuck due to closed highways and really good service for everyone looking for a Christmas Day meal.

Traveling from Kelowna to Calgary It was the 1st of January, this pub was open, lucky us I thought, but to our surprise the food was excellent the service was great, I could believe the dessert it was amazingly fresh, btw one of the best Cheesecakes ever. If your are going to or through Revelstoke you have to visit this place.it is so good

Food was good. Loved the environment and the vibe. Absolutely gorgeous woodwork and the beer on tap flowed cold and delicious.
A younger me on a Friday would love a packed night in season.
I'd recommend!

Fantastic atmosphere and food. Wait was a little long but to be honest we really enjoyed the room moving around us and our waiter was very attentive.

Typical big pub with possibility to watch sport and play games.

We went to the River City Pub for lunch on July 27th, 2022 and arrived at around 12: 10 - 12: 15. We were standing at reception for a few minutes before a server came over and told us to seat ourselves. Might be good to put a sign upfront letting patrons know to do so. We were given menus soon after. We noticed that the other tables were given glasses and a pitcher of water, which we never received. We had an awful experience with our server. We ordered drinks (one of which was a club soda with lime) which took 15 minutes to arrive at our table after ordering. Our server acknowledged that there was a lemon wedge on the club soda and told us to switch it for the lime wedge off of a Pepsi we ordered. We ordered our food (3 burgers and a salad) which didn’t show up for over an hour after ordering (we’ll come back to this). We sat at our table for about 45 minutes and our server never came to check on us. We observed other patrons around the restaurant and noticed someone from one group had to go to the bar and ask for menus and someone from another table went to the bar to order a drink. She went and chatted up the people who had to get her own menus, smiling and laughing to maybe salvage her tip from that table. After 45 minutes she came back and asked if we wanted refills. We asked for two drinks refilled (both pop) and she didn’t come back for twenty minutes. When she finally brought us our refills, we asked if our food would be here soon. She smiled and replied “I don’t know, hopefully. I’ll go check. ”
We knew our food was ready because we watched it sit in the window by the kitchen for almost half an hour before it was served to us. We heard the chef’s ring the bell when it was ready too. We heard them ring the bell several times and no food was ever picked up and brought to tables. The restaurant wasn’t even busy either, only about 7 other tables not including us. She brought our last plate over and picked up on the fact that we weren’t happy. That’s when she finally asked if everyone was okay.
We just asked for the bill and take-out containers, which she came back with quickly as well as with the machine (but not the containers). We told her that we would pay in cash when we were ready. The take-out containers never came. Our server never came back to our table after that. We barely ate any of our food as it was cold from not being served to us on time and all of us just wanted to leave as we had been there for more than an hour and a half, only 10 of which were spent eating. On our way out, our server tried to stop us and when the first group of two walked past her without saying anything, she stood in front of the other two of us and said “K bye. ” with an incredibly rude attitude.
We will certainly not be eating at the River City Pub again. We had planned to have dinner at the 112 that night but it was closed, but we will not go there either after our experience at this place.
If anyone goes here and gets a blonde, Australian waitress, leave and find somewhere better to eat. She is incredibly rude, has a terrible attitude, and is only friendly when she needs to salvage a tip from a table. One she knew that she wasn’t getting from us.

We came on fish and chips and gin night. The serving sizes were amazing and the staff were just the tops. I loved the homey atmosphere. The fish and chips were so fresh tasting and I couldn't recommend somewhere better in town. Also the calamari was so tender. This place is definitely a must if you're in revelstoke.

Fish and chips were great. Unfortunate that the nicest seating area up front by the windows was closed off for no reason. Also, watch your footing on the back patio, the patio stones are really uneven and I rolled my ankle in a big sunken spot.

I had a wonderful evening with a great rock and roll band. They even played a bit of country music. I met a group of people who were from Revelstoke celebrating a class reunion. Wonderful people!
The waitstaff was helpful and courteous, impeccable service. I ordered the calamari appetizer. It melted in my mouth, it was the best calamari I've ever had. I was surprised to find it here since I've traveled around the world usually ordering the calamari appetizer.
Downtown Revelstoke BC is one of the cutest little towns I've had the privilege of visiting.
This Pub is a sure stopover on your way through the Canadian Rockies!

I dined on the patio on a perfect Sunday afternoon (Aug 7/22) My server was a young lady named Cleo and she was wonderful. She was very busy at times, but she handled it all very well. The food was very good, but Cleo made the dining experience excellent!

This was the only place open on Friday for some reason but the food was great! The service was a bit slow but they were super busy so I can understand why. I got the lasagna which was really good.

Possibly the slowest service in the world but we did, eventually, get our rounds of drinks. Would not recommend on a busy Tuesday (?) night if you're looking to have a few. Nice enough employees but really need more staff.

Landed in Revelstoke and this has been our go to Pub. Staff is awesome, accommodating and fun. Very happy to have found this haunt and a shout out to Morgan the 'aussie' for making us feel right at home.

Friendly staff, willing to accommodate a group of six after most other nearby restaurants were closed. Nice comfortable patio, tasty pub grub, nice selection of local beers on draft, reasonable prices.

Live outdoor music was VERY loud could not converse, All the staff displayed an aura of tension, and very unfriendly. Food was a 3/10. A few rowdy disrespectful patrons, made the visit unpleasant.

Extremely slow service, waited to long for drinks and waited an hour for dinner, however food was decent

We had a great afternoon treat! Service was awesome and the portions of appies was huge. Great friendly staff!

The food was alright/nothing special/flavorless.the service however was beyond terrible.our server [a tall blond girl] seemed almost annoyed with us from the moment we walked in.she seated us at a table right by the door in a tight awkward space.we asked if there's another table available, and she said no despite 2 or 3 tables being empty.and then turned to another server looking for a table for another group of people right after us and directed them there.this would have been fine if the service was half decent, its just a table.however after that she took forever to come take our order and she would leave halfway through taking the order/not take the whole order.she would not make eye contact, and got distracted and started chatting with other customers.it took her 30 minutes to get us a second round of drinks/shots.she seems so unhappy BUT only while she was at our table! She was fine and giggling with everyone else.i don't know if that is how they act with all their customers, or if it was just because we were one of the only few non-Caucasian people there.the whole experience was absolutely disappointing and irritating because of how pathetic our server was.if you want decent service i suggest go anywhere

Came here a couple weeks ago, food was good but the waitress we had was terrible. Never had a problem with a waitress from the pub before this. She had a terrible attitude and then expected everyone to give her a big tip. Which was very unprofessional to tell us to tip her. I gave her a tip so she wouldnt be so mad, but the rest of my party didnt, so then she proceeded to get mad at the rest of them for not tipping her. Have not been back since that incident.

I know it gets busy BUT your NOT save any time at all by taking my order over the counter verse over the phone. I'm still requiring your time ether way. All your doing is wasting the customers time. Quick 30 second order then I can walk there grab and go. Instead I had to walk first then order at the counter and sit there twilling my thumbs for 15 minutes then walk back. I called 3 times to order and every time the phone was picked up then hung up. I ordered a Club House with side Salad, which was awesome. If it's so busy that the phone "to go" orders can't be taken maybe extra staff at the busy times would help.

Sat down as a group of five on a quiet thursday night. Didn't get service for 20 mins. Ended up leaving

Typical pub food. They now have a large outdoor seating area to follow Covid restrictions which is awesome.
The service was awesome! Friendly staff who are very accommodating. Appreciated them switching up the sauce on my cauliflower wings

Outstanding burgers/fries/beer and service. After a day in the backcountry it's a great spot to celebrate everyday.

The cauliflower bites were off the hook. We had them with sweet chilli sauce instead of BBQ. So good. We also had the quinoa bowl, which felt nutritious and it was yummy. Lots of on tap beer to choose from. Happy hour pints are $5. The server was excellent. It was a great way to end a great ski day.

Very cozy with excellent food and drinks. The only down is that the service is slow and we had to wait close to 20 minutes between the first and second plates.

Highway was closed and we became stranded. Our hotel referenced this place, and it was totally worth it. The place was packed, and the staffed kicked it into high gear and took great care of us. 10 out of 10 and the food was amaZing

The food is absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, the tip would be bigger if the service were better. The server should remember that #AllPatronsMatter regardless of gender.

Arrived at our table - after 5 minutes of no one noticing us had to go up to the bar and ask for a menu. They said they would be over in a minute to take our order after 10 minutes of no one coming to see us we finally left. Would not recommended unfortunately

Food is good as well as drinks and atmosphere is chill. It would get 5 stars if service was better. Poor management skills, one server to cover 10 tables is a bit much. Servers also need to work on their people skills, very awkward. But if you are looking for good food and reasonable prices this is your place.

Great food and great service. Staff was so friendly and efficient. We visited twice while in Revelstoke and would definitely stop again if in the neighburhood.

The server was accommodating by providing a couple of IPA samples. She was very prompt and helpful. The food had significant value for money and the quality was good for a pub. The venue looks clean but getting worn and dated. We had a beef dip and ribs for lunch.

Casual but comfortable dining and accommodation. Would stay again. Complimentary breakfast too. Food was a good standard too. Delicious

If I could give it a minus, I would.
We walked in there, 3 girls that have been in the service industry for years, and sat down only to be completely ignored for the first 20 minutes.
When we finally got to order our drinks, they took another 10 minutes to arrive. The waitress was not apologetic and did not seem to mind for our wait.
We ordered our food; steak sandwich (was advertised with onions and mushrooms) ; mac & cheese and a chicken buffalo wrap. The food was mediocre at the best. The 3 cheese mac & cheese had no flavor and tasted like dirty water. The steak came without mushrooms. The wrap had no buffalo sauce in it at all. All this after an hours wait to receive our dinners.where I feel they had plenty of the time to let us know mushrooms were unavailable or at the simplest, come over for an other drink order!
When we explained to the waitress our disappointment in a very polite manner, she apologized as it was a busier night than normal (there was FIVE waitresses on the floor and perhaps 13 tables were being occupied!) and assured us she would speak to the managers about what she could do for us.
We then sat there with our plates of food in front of us, mostly untouched for over half an hour before we had to get up and ask for the bill to leave. All while, the waitresses made glares at us for complaining and walked by us with dirty looks on their faces.
What a disappointment to tourists who were planning to stay the entire evening with money to spend! Will definitely not be going back! Will definitely NEVER recommend! Horrible service, horrible food.what's left for a pub? !

OMG one of the best burgers I have ever had and I don't say that lightly. If you've walked the trails of the nearby National Park, then reward yourself by visiting the River City Pub, soak in the bluesy rock ambience, drink a jar of the local brew and treat yourself to a good damn burger.

The food is very good but the service was extremely slow. The restaurant was not very full but the waitress seemed more interested in hanging around the bar than attending customers. Do not go if you are in a rush.

Great spot to party in Revelstoke, if you're into live music and events, pool table and dancing - maybe both? This is the spot!

Excellent. Some below had mixed experiences but not us! Reminds me of a Country pub in Australia. Sunday (ie a very quiet) night, but all 4 of us received excellent hot fresh innovative food. Beer selection was a bit limited (it WAS Sunday) but good. Extremely friendly service. A hamburger is a hamburger-but not here! Awesome. We'd return on our next visit to Revelstoke without doubt.

Stayed in the hotel upstairs and ended up finding our way down to the pub for dinner, food was great and the local beer on tap is fresh. If you get the ribs trust me when I say 1 rack is plenty! Staff are beyond nice and music goes late. Will be back 100%:)

Very good place. Serveur et serveuse très sympa. Nourriture et bière saurons vous combler. Nombreuses télé, et un billard.

Cant go wrong with the River City Pub if you want quick consistant pub food being right downtown is handy. Plus the bar staff is very friendly.

Food was outstanding brought my 14 yr old with us everything was delicious, unfortunately the server kind of ignored us, when our food came up it sat under the heat lamp for a good 6 or 7 minutes while she chatted with the bartender. We were the only table other than a guy drinking coffee playing pool.but hey she had great boons lol

Revelstoke the ski area has a village offset from the town. You can stay, shop and eat there but the choices are limited. I love the mountain and the town and feel the base area is trying too hard to be like Whistler when it should just enjoy the old ski town funk it's name evokes. We stopped at River City out of convenience and. Ordered some guacamole and chips, which was not particularly cheap and the chips were few. When we asked for more chips, we were told they were out. Honestly we are old, agreeable good spending customers, they were not trying to get rid of us, they were out just of chips at 3 in the afternoon. The beer selection is not that great either. Sorry to be a downer, but the day on the mountain was so much better.

Great place wish I had been able to stay longer. The band playing that night was the Guess Who, it was packed, totally cool to see. Great place for a fun night while in Revy.
