My favorite game is the Roulette, so I went and played with this guys, they have a sign that clearly states that your minimum bet is 2 dollars, so I was gambling 10 per game (5 chips) the dealer calls me up and said that I had to gamble 13 chips minimum per game, I said that isn't what you rules are saying he said that doesn't mater and the minimum is 13 chips per game (26 dollars). Finished playing and complained to the dealers supervisor he didn't care and said that they haven't been able to change the rules in the screen. I never coming back to this casino ever, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, the parking lot is dirty and stinks like a toilet, from all the homeless people around.
11 October 2023 23:03
Just checked in but wouldn't stay here again. Paid extra for the marina view but all we got was a view of the airconditioning on the roof of the building. Such a let down.
06 October 2023 13:36
I’ve heard numerous complaints about the bald Asian bartender in the casino (he has a moustache). Incredibly rude if you don’t intend to tip.for a cup of pepsi really?

The next time you come around he’ll fill it up halfway. Unbelievably unprofessional!
30 September 2023 14:40
What a scam they are running: 2% credit card surcharge for staying, that's told to you after you make the booking or found after the stay. And what on earth is the add on resort fee about. Dishonest from the start. Should be illegal.
22 September 2023 14:14
First of all, not really a lot of options for kids, unless they like to swim or can be taken on the sky train. Stayed at the hotel section across from the entrance, which on Google is rated at four stars. To be clear, all amenities are located in the casino portion and not the hotel. The hotel has great access to the sky, train and bus routes in addition to car sharing and taxi services. The casino has a food court, a buffet, Starbucks and lounge bistro. There is a space for an Italian restaurant, but that has closed and looks to be a future spot for a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Additionally, the food court is inside the casino area, making it not accessible to children. The pool and spa area are down a weirdly planned hallway, making the journey rather awkward and as if you will turn into a maintenance closet at the end. Who is this hotel for? People wanting to watch a show or gamble who do not have children. Those on a quick trip to Vancouver who do not want to stay in downtown but like access to downtown and the airport. To be clear, access to transportation and the airport is fantastic so location is a four-star. The hotel overall, is a 3.5 star.
22 August 2023 20:17
I stayed at the river rock hotel for a few nights, the room was decent enough, but the newly implemented 2% system fee for using a credit card is absolutely bogus. Beware!
13 August 2023 2:39
Not impressed at all, room basic, had to ask for coffee and cream.
Food in hotel average, staff ok, wouldn't bother staying again
25 July 2023 11:28
I was sent here for a conference. My opinion would probably be better if I was a gambler. Anyways, terrible set up to the whole place and everything is a huge distance from each other. Also the internet is terrible. Probably a nice casino but a very irritating hotel.

Ash
Was unable to help
@ 61 years unable to provide ID and refused entry.
This place has no pubic relations
Good to the only show in town wish i was able to run my business that way
28 October 2022 0:18
The casino has gone down hill big time. They''ve removed any space for socializing and stuffed every square inch with slot machines. There is one small cafeteria style bar and no where to sit. Wouldn't recommend.
26 October 2022 17:49
We booked a nights stay here for a friends birthday, we were having a wonderful evening until we came across Peter behind the bar in the casino. He asked my friend for ID when ordering a drink, she questioned why she needs to show it if she has already scanned her ID to enter the casino, she then also showed him her ID but he refused to serve her. I then went to order 2 drinks and I too was asked for my ID (I’m 32, so il take it as a compliment), I also questioned is there any reason as to why we need to show our ID each time we order drinks if we have already screened our IDs before entering the casino? He responded with “policy”. If this is policy then surely you should have asked the other people in line for their ID, it’s policy right? I showed him 2 pieces of ID but he refused to look at them and asked me to step to the side because he had called security! Total waste of everyone’s time because there had been no issue! The guy behind us in line overheard and said “I don’t understand why your being asked for ID if you have already shown it before coming in”, Peter, the bartender then asked him “do you not want to be served either”! This guy is in a total power trip and honestly ruined the entire evening and stay for us! We spent a lot of money staying at this hotel and in the end it really wasn’t worth it! It cut my night short and I decided to leave and go back to my room to sleep. On top of all that a crazy guy was walking around drunk and abusing people and knocking on random doors! He tried to force his way into my room. Surely this is where security should be notified or be sat watching CCTV footage to see what’s going on in the hotel halls! Sadly, they weren’t and as a result I was punched in the face by this guy and now have a busted lip. Right after this I called the cops and reported the guy. Definitely not worth the stay on this occasion! Call it bad luck but I’m just going off the experience we had. Totally waste of money for us.
25 October 2022 10:35
It’s a nice place with a good variety of amenities. We like booking here because of the proximity to the night market. Had a mostly neutral experience — neither extremely good nor bad.
16 October 2022 7:42
My friend has a history of getting black our drunk. He’s non violent but can be very belligerent and rude when he’s in that state of mind. I phoned my friend early AM and he was very belligerent to me and security staff spoke to me and I informed them. They got him home safely and he has no recollection now of how he got home but believes security got him an Uber. Great service they have to a belligerent person and he got home safely. I wasn’t present but I feel the security staff showed an exemplary display of professionalism.
13 October 2022 7:20
The Curves restaurant is terrible. It's slow. We tried it the first time and you couldn't even get a glass of water. Was nearly 2 hours to get your water, order, get your food (45 min wait) and pay your tab.

We tried again for breakfast this morning and was the same garbage. I don't know if it is lack of staff, slow kitchen, or what, but Curves is complete garbage for a fast casual place.

In comparison the buffet was great with excellent service.

The location and proximity to the metro is nice, but that is about it. The casino was boring and most table games wanted $25/min to play. All-in-all it is crossed off my list for life. Will not have a repeat visit.
08 October 2022 16:09
Always enjoy myself there, but was sadden to see how hard waitresses have to work with limited staff. It's a shame when casinos make so much money and not offering staff a better wage
05 October 2022 6:47
NOPE NOPE NOPE
I was so excited to spend the 4th of July weekend in Canada, with my visiting cousin from California.that I forgot I had make a reservation on one travel app and did it again with a different date on another one. Ultimately, I got sick (turned out it was Covid), cancelled one of the reservations, completely oblivious to the other one by then.and got charged for the no show. Management did not care and refused to give credit for another stay or refund. I would make reservations with GREAT caution, in case you're human and make a mistake like I did.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. They compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! You're welcome:)! This resort is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't regret it.

Curve at River Rick casino has stellar service provided by two of the hardest working people. TJ and Jason went above and beyond for our large group providing excellent service and always with a smile. The drinks and food were excellent! The bonus is they break out the giant Jenga on the lawn too!
02 October 2022 10:37
Wifi is terrible. Not sure why I paid this much not to have housekeeping bring me fresh sheets and towels. Would recommend paying more for absolutely anywhere else. Or, sleep in the streets, that would still be a better option.
01 October 2022 6:55
At age 29 I was disallowed to enter the casino with a passport at my ID making the stay useless.
My room was never cleaned by housekeeping.
The wifi isn't even worth connecting to, I had to use data on my phone the whole time.
The rooms are nothing special for the expensive price you pay.
I would not recommend staying here, I've had way more enjoyable stays at other hotels for cheaper.
15 September 2022 0:55
Would love to book a reservation with them, but I can’t get through. Been calling all day long, left on hold for 30 minutes… tried calling back and was hung up on… stupidly kept trying, but maybe this is a sign of their type of services, considering some of these reviews…
13 September 2022 1:48
Very sad "resort" for a 4 *
Walking distance from parking lot to the "resort" (your room) ridiculous. Make sure you check your map if your looking for convenience this is not it unless your cutting through the casino where 1-2 casino bouncers will be waiting for you. Wait times for valet.if you're into waiting around wondering if there is valet don't worry there is at least I think there is.and you need to unpack your luggage at the front door the main entrance but after you leave your car where you can't leave your car and bags by the way.leave your ID at the front desk then go unpack then run to your room then back down to park so ditch the bag cart inside somewhere. Or.one by one bring up your stuff.

The food. Ok I'm going to say this when I stay at a "resort" and paying the price I would hope the food options would not be something I make at home on a regular schedule or that i would buy from a mall food court and I didn't think I would have to be hassled about food by an unhappy customer and the service they were getting from said restaurant that happens to be intertwined restaurants.the hotel room menu is missing items so you have to go down stairs into the casino to order any missing food items. NO BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED
WHEN The room and I ordered the a suit was ready it had old carpet and tiles in the bathroom with smeared poop by the toilet and shower smeared mirrors makes me wonder how clean is the carpet really.the walk to the room has a beautiful view near the elevator it would make for perfect photos if the windows where not covered in bird poop and room security has me feeling unsafe after having a random fire alarm maintenance?
The pool was great the best part so I gave that the star and the fact I got 50$off for the random visitor
This hotel has a list of bad experience for me. Save your hard earned money head over the the holidays inn.
This "resort" is a no for me and my family.
10 September 2022 17:12
Room was super clean and king bed + pillows were great to sleep on. Staff at reception very friendly and can store your bags if you have an evening flight from YVR airport.
05 September 2022 11:46
What amazing stay! 1st of all parking is included! Walking distance to so much! Things like the night market, awesome restaurant! Sky train to go down town!
Costco! The Italian tomato!
The only not good things, is got rid of most of the live table games, but I get it #covidlifenow.
But everything else was good! Clean, good water pressure, and good size tubs too! Nice pool w a slide, hot tub!
04 September 2022 14:30
Room was in poor state, water damage near mini fridge, stained carpets. No one at front desk for over half an hour when trying to check in.
Very expensive for what was offered.
It's in a good location though.
01 September 2022 12:47
We reserved a room and then our plans changed and we tried to reach front desk to cancel reservation

Nobody answered phone for more than hour.
We made more then 10 calls to hotel.
Been on hold for more than 20 min.
This resort has worse customer care than many motels.
30 August 2022 0:55
Rudest doorman makes it undesirable to play here. Walked in and walked right out. Disgusting behaviour! Just because he tall and white, he thinks he can intimidate small Asian women.
21 August 2022 2:31
Very overpriced for a mediocre experience. Only one elevator was working for the side of the hotel which led to frustratingly long waits for full elevators. No directions to get to the pool area which is on the second floor on the other wing of the hotel which you then have to go through an awkward stroll across the casino/hotel lobby to get too. There are around 10 chairs in the pool area for a hotel that has hundreds of rooms so I threw my shirt and kids stuff in a pile by a pillar in a very full pool area where it seemed to stay dry. The pool towels are not supposed to leave the pool area and I'm not able to take one of the only 2 towels from my room, so while I'm taking my awkward walk back to the room and waiting for the broken elevator while my kids are shivering and we are standing there dripping water across the slick tile floor it gets quite frustrating.
17 August 2022 8:50
Unbelievable resort. From the customer service to the cleanliness to the number of attractions, and events. Stayed in Vancouver for roughly a week and only came here the last few days. Wish I stayed the whole time! So much to do at the resort. The waterslide was the best part, and the hot tub was great. Various buffet options, and dine-in spots inside. Incredible experience overall and I will most definitely be booking this again as my primary stay when visiting Vancouver.
16 August 2022 21:00
I want to start by saying "pull down on the faucet to turn on the shower", the confusing shower (it's ridiculous!) is by far the biggest NEGATIVE of the 2 night stay at The Hotel Tower, at The River Rock. On a Mon-Wed.

Positives:
- friendly staff on the resort side, didn't have many run ins with staff on the tower side.
- Casino wasn't too busy
- room was clean
- bathroom accessible for a wheelchair/walker

Negatives:
- parking is too far for paying guests
- lack of food options
- theatre has NOTHING booked
- Curve had good appetizers but the burgers were less than awesome
- could be more in the way of curb appeal, especially on the harbour side of the hotel
- interior is out dated and bland
14 August 2022 19:40
My boyfriend and I went to the poker room today and were told that he was only allowed to show hand after the play (he was playing Texas Hold’em), otherwise it makes other players feel like I was coaching him. We decided to leave River Rock immediately.

Their argument made me laugh as it’s quite obvious to tell that he’s a 10+ years player and I’m fairly new to poker, and I was just companying him without discussing anything during the play.

I used to work at the top casino in Australia and we encouraged players to bring their family and friends to sit with them. That way they learn how to play and become potential players, thus bring the casino more revenue. Not sure why the policy is created this way at River Rock but it’s absolutely not a good environment for family companion, new player emerging or better casino vibes.

Being suspicious against the players is not going to make the business stronger, and embarrassing the family and friends who company your guest is not going to keep your guest loyal.
13 August 2022 0:44
Paid alot for our family to say one night and it wasn't good at all. First the food at the Buffett restaurant was mediocre at best, for the price for 8 of us to go you would expect quality over quantity. Next the room was so hot and dry, myself and my son got a bleeding nose. We asked why the room was so hot and it was suppose to be fixed but it wasn't. The bed was very uncomfortable and hard. Unfortunately it's a place we won't be coming back too
04 July 2021 20:46
Yes the casino part is closed. It is now only open for vaccinations and I loved my experience at this location.
25 May 2021 22:29
If anyone out there is looking for good deals for hotel rooms check ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ reserved a resort on there and they had the best prices any where!

This is my favourite casino and the best place to have fun. When this place opens back up you can be sure to catch a great show. 10/10 fun factor
27 July 2020 17:14
I really like this casino.this is one of my favorite places to go at night when everyondxkvfrow0
03 July 2019 19:30
Not sure of why there are so many positive reviews for such an underwhelming casino and hotel.
If you have ever been to Vegas or Macau this hotel casino is an embarrassment. Food quality is poor all around. The buffet is horrible! Food selection is so limited. Why would you eat here when the city has so much better food?
The selection of slot machines and tables are limited. Security staff have extremely poor attitude and would yell at you if you don’t promptly show ID.
Would not come here unless necessary for an event.
22 June 2019 9:36
Limited selection. No crab. Ran out of spoons, ice and cups. What cups they had in the beginning were dirty.had lipstick on it. Terrible. Other food not fresh and overpriced.
15 June 2019 23:07
The ppl that check identification at the river rock casino are judgmental they will not let u in the casino if u don’t look rich I had 1 drink before I arrived at the casino they said I was to drunk to be allowed to play in the casino honestly I was not at all the guy at the casino entrance was very mean grabbing my arm very hard For me to leave I had 3k on me to spend in the casino do not go here
I was and still am so embarrassed about the public Sean they pulled on me I also had family with me from Toronto to visit
13 June 2019 11:54
It's always a pleasure going to the River Rock Casino and hotel. Especially when you are invited to stay 2free days. The staff are always helpful and very friendly It's very clean. I would recommend it to anyone.
08 June 2019 9:08
This casino is the best in the lower mainland. They tend to have music playing, the dealers are friendly and there is a lot of slots, tables and food to choose from. Craps usually close around 2am, but there is other things to do as well. I would say this casino is better compare to parq.
02 June 2019 5:30
Well connected via transit. A very famous and busy casino housing a theatre in the same building. Restaurant serving buffet also is in the same premises. Building opposite to the casino building is the Hotel.
29 May 2019 21:20
Didn’t allow my bf to use his government firearms license as his primary ID even though it is federal ID profiled is for having tattoos and piercings. Trash.
22 May 2019 19:47
I love the fact that this is a casino but it is non smoking. Went to the restaurant, Tramonto twice because it's so quiet, delicious and had a beautiful view. The pacing of the meal was excellent. Staff was very good from the front desk to the concierge and the gift shop. Room service was very nice and learned my preferences quickly. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.
21 May 2019 22:16
Close to the airport but I don't like the way the tables are set up and everything is expensive to the max even the burgers are really high in price bring cash and more cash.
12 May 2019 15:36
Avoid this house at all times. This casino is so rigged out of 20 attempts you’ll only win once or twice. Compared to hard rock and elements those houses give you a chance to win.don’t waste your time here.
10 May 2019 9:14
My family and I stayed here last night and I was super excited because we had stayed a few years ago and we loved it. Last night and this morning were a huge disappointment and we will not be returning. We got in at 9pm after travelling for 9 hours and I looked like garbage but was not expecting to be given a once over by the reception. He was not welcoming or warm in any way. We were put in a pretty basic room for $225 but before even getting to our room we were told to park in the south parkade and walk down to the elevator to get to the 10th floor. The first elevator we tried only went to 6. So we got off on 6 and walked to the next elevator which conveniently wasn't working. So we climbed a set of stairs to the 5th floor which is maybe actually the 4th? After being completely confused, tired, and hungry we found our room. My husband went out to get a bottle of wine and I ordered pizza. I get a call saying the pizza is at reception. I asked if they could send it up as I was alone with my kids. Nope, they couldn't do that I had to get back down to reception to get my pizza. I've stayed at flipping motels that allow the pizza guy in, but not the River Rock apparently! So I get to pack up my kids and go look for pizza. But it's not at the main reception, it's at reception in the south building. FINALLY I find the guy and we make our way back up to the room. The next day at checkout I'm charged almost $12 as a "daily resort fee". For? Make me go get my own food I ordered as delivery for a reason? Then as I'm trying to figure out how to get back into the parkade to get my car I stopped and asked a valet who asked me what "code" my car was under. Uhhh.no code? I parked it and I would like to go drive it now. He basically shrugged and said he didn't know but he DID manage to point out that it was cold out and my baby was probably cold so.thank goodness for that because I definitely didn't already realize this.
As I said, we won't be staying again. This was ridiculous. The Fairmont or Pacific Rim are much more accommodating and helpful.
05 May 2019 20:34
I really have to say that I was exceptionally underwhelmed by this Hotel. I really was expecting excellent accommodations and plentiful food options but was actually disappointed. Having stayed here twice over two weeks, I really felt despite the fact I paid for and was given upgraded accommodation, the hotel really lacked the basics. The hotel Wi-Fi was exceptionally poor and substandard, the rooms were not properly insulated to prevent excessive noise. If you are not staying at this hotel for the sole purpose of using the casino I would not recommend. The rooms were clean but not very modern. Parking was secure but not convenient and quite frequently got completely full.
21 April 2019 18:50
Amazing staff dealers best casino not to mention the hotel on either side is amazing as well the food is spot on with so many options this really is a resort everything you wan tin just one place
11 April 2019 6:12
Loved my 1 night away with a great rate! Room was great, nice and clean, robes in the room as well. Great amenities on site.
03 March 2019 19:46
Last trip to Vancouver we chose to stay at River Rock. Vancouver has a demand driven pricing for most hotels so from time to time the prices can get up there. On this occasion we got a very generous size room for about $200. You can try the casino if you want but the winners for us was a Starbucks in the lobby and fast food options in the Casino food court. All add value to the stay. Transit and Skytrain is directly attached to the hotel for easy way in and out. This makes it a great option for a airport overnight stay. Staff was great and the bed was very comfortable.
02 March 2019 1:31
Decent place. Hotel rooms were nice but had no windows or airflow. Bathroom tiles had lipstick smushed inside. No fan in the bathroom?
01 March 2019 18:24
Just checked out. Enjoyed the food and service for two days while in town for business. Wife and I stayed in and ate at Curve Restaraunt on the main floor last night. Friendly bartender ("Brad"?) even came around when rest of staff nowhere in site. Dinner was great, and a guitarist was playing live music - nice voice and good skills.
Skytrain Station - goes right to the airport and downtown. Great location. Everyone friendly here.
28 February 2019 5:41
The air inside is nice and unsented, and temperature is good, unlike the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam. Lots of slot machines but very narrow isle ways. $1 slot machines are mixed in with lower denomination machines. Pay parking.
12 February 2019 18:22
Visited the casino for New year's. Due to the volume of guests being checked for the casino there were two gentleman checking for IDs. My friend and I were checked partway through the line but as I was allowed through the man checking IDs at the original end of the line aggressively pulled me back and asked to recheck my IDs, despite just being let through.
09 February 2019 7:15
Largest selection of games in all the local casinos. Feels a lot stiffer since the report about high rollers came out, that is to say that the atmosphere has chabged, I suppose that is to be expected. Overall not a bad place, parking is hard to come by if your vehicle is large, expect to have to park on an unlit side street where you will worry abouy your vehicle being broken into, or pay a rediculious amount for valet parking to park in the only open air lot for blocks around.
04 February 2019 22:22
Fire alarm went off around 10: 45. Announcements regarding were very hard to understand. We were not evacuated but there was a lot of confusion.
We ate at the buffet which was extremely expensive for the quality of food served. On button on coffee pot in room very difficult to find, these should be replaced.
30 January 2019 14:17
Too big, tries to hard to be upscale, the hotel dwarfs the casino which makes you wonder where the people who are staying there go. The food in the restaurants is sub par and customer service uninspired. Nothing bad to say just nothing good.
29 January 2019 0:33
Near to the airport. You can spend your time if you are waiting for your connections. Good location. Transportation vehicles from airport to the casino. As the name says river rock, allow your self for that extra rocking experience near the river side.
25 January 2019 18:11
Just got home from the River Rock. Had a great time! The tribute bands to Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart and the Guess Who were all fantastic! Would go back to the River Rock again to see a show! Happy New Year everyone!
21 January 2019 22:42
Nice stay for the most part. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the convenience factor can't be beat. The nespresso coffee maker is a nice touch. I was concerned at first as I could hear the noise from the Sky Train - bong bong bong, etc, but in the end it did not keep me awake. If noise bothers you perhaps ask for a room on the north side away from the train.
21 January 2019 8:08
Great place. Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. Lovely room service. Got a free upgrade to a suite as well. All in all, a highly recommended place to stay at whatever your reason to Vancouver is. The attached casino is obviously an added plus.
17 January 2019 10:35
Great resort with attentive staff although it doesn't feel like the front desk really cares about more than sales? Whereas the service staff really shine.
13 January 2019 0:05
AMAZING hotel. All the staff made my family feel so welcome. They went out of their way for us. We got a free upgrade to a suite, had wonderful birthday cake in the room and exceptional room service and the front desk staff, valet, and everyone we came across was so friendly and helpful. The pool is so great, too. And the room service menu was amazing and reasonably priced. I will definitely be going back to this hotel and I highly recommend it for locals and visitors, alike.
