We liked the idea of the ECO safari with the catamarans, but unfortunately there were no animal sightings. The guide's information was poor. We would have liked to be convinced of the quality of the tours! We at least had the experience (August 23) of seeing the scenic Mud Lake and also being able to watch a helicopter putting out a forest fire up in the mountains.
This is an amazing place! Great staff and service. We stopped by for breakfast, which was delicious. We didn’t do the River safari tour as we had other plans but we came back for a late lunch/early dinner (kitchen closes at 4.30pm), which was delicious too. Great interior design!
It was a relaxing River Safari, but sadly with very little wildlife that I saw to be called a River Safari. Our tour guide Finn was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and interacted well with everyone. For the price we would have expected to see more.
Fun rides on a catamaran and speed boat! Beautiful views of the glaciers and waterfalls. Friendly owner, staff, and guides. Delicious fresh food in the floating restaurant. Great time!
We went on the boat ride only and didn't go further into the smaller canals and so on.but I feel the word safari and the advertising is a little misleading.the trip was nice enough and the family all enjoyed it for what it is, I just don't think animal spotting is a common thing here.
Although the views are beautiful and so one this is in no way close to an African safari, were you generally see lots of animals. Hope this explains the three stars, the staff are all great and as I said the kids enjoyed it but if you are expecting to see bears or anything else like that I feel it is not the trip for you, but that could just be my experience.
It was an amazing experience! We found this tour by chance from the sign along the highway. So glad we decided to stop and check it out. Russell gave us an amazing tour including two waterf. Thank you for the great time! A must do!
We had the pleasure of meeting Russell and his dad (can’t forget the cute puppy Rico!) while passing thru Blue River during the off season. We were pretty bummed that we made it here and everything was shut down for the season - however as luck would have it, while talking some pictures we bumped into Rico and met these lovely folks! They were prepping to shut down for the winter and after chatting for a bit they invited us to come along on the last boat ride they were doing before winter/shutdown which we gladly accepted. AND. I’m so glad we did! What an amazing experience! The sights were amazing, Russell was super knowledgeable about the area and told us some great history and information about the place. We were treated to some amazing scenery, good conversation and had an aweome afternoon that ended with a magical waterfall! We can’t wait to come back in the summer next year to enjoy the full experience. Definitely check this family run business out!
Amazing experience in wild life.worth to try this 1.5 hour tour.
I would give a 3 star just because the receptionist lady was on her personal phone all the time. After 20 minutes waiting without any explanation, I asked her to see when we are going to start.she said they were waiting for other customers to come. I think it’s more reasonable to say it before customer come to ask what’s going on!
We went today for the boat tour, Sept. 12th 2020. We had Dillon for a guide He was awesome! We seen a bear with a cub & the waterfall is fantastic. So glad we did the tour.
You Can't go to to the mud lake through the jungle with your car, road is too bumpy, if you wanna go you have to go either by jeep safari or boat safara. Both of them are too costly, for jeep safari you have to pay 100 cad per person and for boat 70 per person.
We went in down season so was only us and 3 others on the tour. The lake was lovely and the canoe was cool. We didn't see any wildlife except eagles but that can't be helped as it just comes down to luck. Quite expensive for what we got in the end but was only thing we saw worth doing in the area.
We had such an amazing experience on the jeep tour they offer. Our tour guide was Tess, she was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we got to see a little bear climbing a tree which was a pretty incredible experience. I definitely recommend, even if you dont get to see any wildlife there are such spectacular views and a fun drive up the mountain! Unfortunately I cant post the video of the bear I got on here!
Professional organisation, they have their act together. With wildlife you’re never sure if you will see something, but our guide (Arne from Belgium) really went the extra mile. Great explanations, funny, and continuously on the look-out for animals. We did see bears (the sight of a mama bear with cub coming out of the forest was great). Although it’s announced as a 1hr Safari, ours ended up taking close to 3 hrs, including a fun jetboat ride in shallow water. Loved every moment of it
The views no matter it is the jeep or river safari, they are amazing.the staffs, like Jackie, Dee Jay, Brau (I think I spelled his name wrong), they are all wonderful, full of knowledge, and amazing.this is the second years we came because we just can‘t get enough of it.love you guys.thank you for everything.
Cher pour pas grand chose. Malgré une pluie torrentielle ils continuent le trajet de bateau donc on se retrouvent trempés malgré les coupes pluies prêtés avec la pluie et le vent qui vous giflent le visage.
The wildlife is so beautiful, and the guides (we had Aaron & Tom) are so nice and make you as enthusiastic as they are for all the facts they have about the area and wildlife. Would love to come again if I’m ever in Canada again! Highly recommended!
It would have been nice if they were advertising and pricing for a boat ride, not much of a safari when you don't see any animals and you still don't get any of your money back. I understand that they cannot control the animals, but they can sure control their prices, a nice boat ride should cost about half of what they charge, the least they can do is a partial refund if they couldn't deliver on an actual "safari" experience.
