Riviera ladies fashion

We went to Riviera looking for small gowns for my nieces. Before the gowns were brought out, we mentioned our budget ($100-200) and the color we were looking for. The lady on the counter said she will try her best to find what we need, which we appreciated. My family has come here for prom gowns and bridesmaids dresses in the past.

They showed us very cute gowns but they were over $250, they told us we will work out a discount, especially, we were getting a few gowns and we'll just let them try on. So we did try them on and they were cute. Staff also placed some headpieces on their head to accessorize. After a few minutes of trying on, we took the gown off of my nieces and the staff abruptly yanks all the headpieces off from their head. We were shocked she would do that to 3-5 years old. We didn't say anything. Then, they worked out the prices and what discount she could give.

She was calculating on a piece of paper and showing us the price, we were going to buy them. However, the attitude of the staff changed started becoming so rude to my family. When we told them we have the head pieces and accessories at home, she didn't like that and started to get annoyed.
She became dismissive and rude when our family consults each other about going ahead with the purchase. We felt rushed that she wants us to pay in one transaction and would be better in cash (said she could give discount). We don't carry $1000+ in cash but can pay with a card.

When we said that we will come back and talk about it. She ripped the paper she was calculating on and commented "I thought you were ready! ". Basically, dismissed my family. We decided not to buy them after this.

We were polite and my nieces are well-behaved. They are usually shy and doesn't cause issues. We try to not let them go around and aware not to touch things. The rest of my family were very appreciative of their time. However, the paper ripping, the comments and the actions just left us a bad experience.

I don't normally leave bad reviews as I know how it affects businesses, but I couldn't let it slide since it involved my family especially my young nieces.

I bought a couple of dresses for my girlfriend. Everyone was asking where she got them and how beautiful they were. Would recommend this place ten times over.

The dresses are indeed beautiful. But the first time that me and my friends went there to try it, the staff was rude. They were pushing us to try the dresses quickly and asking me to leave the room to give space for other customers that show up in the store. I would suggest to ask for customers make appointments to keep things well organized. My friends and I were felling uncomfortable with the staff. They were rude with us all the time

The workers were super helpful and welcoming when I was looking for a prom dress. I had a great experience, they are good with alterations and very accommodating.

Me and my friends went to this shop hoping to find a prom dress but we didn’t feel welcomed there. The staffs aren’t welcoming, they didn’t come to greet us or try to offer any help. There may be good dresses in the shop but the atmosphere affected our experience.

The owner of this store is FABULOUS! Went looking for my prom dress, had a specific idea in mind. She made my prom dress dreams come true, told her exactly what I needed and how I’m a bit smaller and need a certain fitting, her seam stress was so loving and made me feel so comfortable and made sure it was to my liking. Deffinetly sending everyone here!

Riviera helped me and my twin sister find perfect prom dresses. All the ladies working there were very nice and kind. They showed us a variety of dresses and were very cooperative. Would recommend this Riviera store in Metrotown to everyone!

We purchased a prom dress here and were very pleased with the service during our shopping experience. The sales associates were friendly and attentive. When we returned to pick up the dress, there were several issues, (seams separating, rusching stretched out), that the in-house seamstress unsuccessfully attempted to repair. When the staff saw that we were not happy with the damaged product they ordered us a new one. It arrived very quickly and the new dress is flawless. Thank you for turning a disappointing situation around! My daughter loves her dress and we can't wait for prom!

I had a wonderful experience finding my prom dress here. The ladies helping me were fantastic and very helpful! I am very indecisive so i tried on
three dresses multiple times and they helped me narrow it down. In the end they let me think and decide for myself which one was THE dress.

I am looking for a unique dress for my friend's wedding party. I was looking for weeks and finally found the loveliest one in this store. The kindest staffs were there, so they helped me to find my dreamy dress.

This website is extremely unique! I got some pairs of dresses for my wife and daughter from this website, they are very good stuff and exceptionally looking good on them. The products are very good and durable because my wife and daughter are enjoying them after getting them for a very long time. They love what they got from Riviera fashion home.

Came here and staff were not welcoming and rushed me to change out of my dress so another person could try theirs on. Pretty disappointed with the customer service, would not come back here.
